I do like Kate Galley books and her newest, The Old Girls’ Chateau Escape was no exception. It was so enjoyable!

I adored this book. Upbeat, cute read with love and charm, and quite a few twists. Absolutely precious.
Gina, in her seventies accepts a position as a caregiver and flies to France to take on the task. According to her friend and neighbor, Dorothy, who found this job for her, Gina is to snoop a little into the past of the woman, Meredith, whom she will be caring for. Dorothy finds out Meredith is writing her memoir that might reveal some dirt and Gina unknowingly becomes submerged in a lot more drama she intended on this adventure.

This was an uplifting novel about friendships, second chances and growing old. Meredith decides to write her memoir. When Dorothy finds out that Meredith is writing she sends Gina, her carer, to help be Meredith and Gerald’s carer. When Dorothy and Meredith were younger, they were best friends from the art world but have been estranged for decades. Dorothy wants Gina to spy and find out what Meredith is writing. She is worried that secrets in their past will be written.
