Thefts are occurring in different shopping areas and a trio of characters are given instructions for the acting job of a lifetime from a strange man with a can. They have the chance to earn a million dollars. Is there a connection? The story involves "big oil" and characters throughout the world, as well as the promise of a new, clean energy source that would put the oil companies out of business. Can they pull it off?
The story follows a number of main characters through many different twists and turns, making it hard to figure out whether the job will go as expected or if disaster will occur. It kept my attention throughout the book and was definitely a page-turner. The plot was incredibly well thought out and thorough, with everything being explained in detail so it was easy to follow along through all the twists and turns.
I did have a bit of trouble figuring out who was who at first, but it became much easier as the story went on. I do think the descriptions in the book were a bit much for my personal taste, but they did help paint a very clear picture of what was happening and how. Overall, a strong 4/5 for this book and I'd love to read more by the author.

I really enjoyed this as a thriller novel, it had that element that I was looking for and enjoyed the feel of this. The characters were everything that I wanted and enjoyed the way they worked in this storyline. Clark Viehweg has a strong writing style and am excited for more in this series.

This was a really good book! It is scary how realistic it is that big oil, big energy companies, and the government would literally go this far to kill someone and destroy an invention that would literally save mankind. It is such a sick world where everything is about money and waste, so this book is scarily realistic. I do think it was an eye opening read so I hope a lot of people read this and see what is actually going on out there. To be in 2024 with no "clean" energy is just a bit unrealistic with how far we have come with technology, so this book seems like it is describing reality
Thank you to NetGalley, to the author, and to the publisher for this complementary ARC in exchange for my honest review!!!
