Interesting read, will keep you turning the pages.
I wasn't to keen on some of the characters, but I think that sometimes adds to a good story.
For,me this is a holiday or long plane journey read. It's light material and just about held my interest. It's not really a book I'd recommend to my friends however by the same token I wouldn't put people off reading it either. Just not really my style of book
I was expecting a lot more from a thriller that was supposed to be very suspenseful. Instead of being full of action, I was bored, could not connect with the characters, and gave up after reading about a third of the book.
Loved this book! The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat! Beverly Barton has always been one of my favorite authors.
I'll be watching you is a rather dark and twisty novel from Barton. Although my favorite by her are the books of the Griffin Powell Series, I did enjoy this one. It was a romantic suspense with a good balance of the two. It tells the story of a romance that develops between Ella, a judge, and Reed, a man who served 15 years in prison for a murder he did not commit. When Reed is paroled, he returns to his hometown and things immediately start to happen that he is blamed for. When the murders begin, almost everyone believes he is responsible. At the same time, Reed begins to spend time with Ella and they develop feelings for one another. As the murders continue and things heat up between Reed and Ella, it is a thrilling ride to the end!
