A beautiful read, so well written, heartbreaking, sad with well described characters that kept me involved in the storyline from the beginning until the end.

Louise gets devasting news that she has cancer, her main concern is who will be taking care of her family. Her twin sister has a hard time dealing with her diagnosis. you will need a box of tissues.

What an emotional yet inspiring story.

This was hard to read because I too went thru a cancer diagnosis. The emotion is real and I felt every bit of it in Lou’s story. This author caught the slide of emotion with Lou as well as with the children and family members.

This story was such an inspiration and I am so glad I read it.
Yes, it was very hard to read at times but the strength and love this author was able to capture was worth every second of tears shed while reading it.

Thank you for writing such a special story and capturing so much of the real life struggles when someone is given a terminal diagnosis.

Jo has done it again. The way she writes hard hitting subjects, just like this one in this book, is written movingly and sensitively. It's a hard read and one that will have you in tears as you read Louisa's heartbreaking tale.

Warning, do not read this book without a large box of tissues to hand. Very sensitively written with beautiful characters going through an impossible situation. A hard but wonderful read.

Gosh this was a hard hard read. Told in chapters by the main character , her husband and her twin sister. A lot of tears will be shed. Louisa world is turned upside down and how she deals with it with her twin and husband is so moving. A stand alone book. I am a Jo Bartlett fan. It is so hard to review , the ending is sad and happy, Read it with chocolate and tissues.

As you would expect from the title. A Mother’s Last Wish was a heartwarming read. Don’t be surprised though when the tears start falling.
