This is a gorgeous watercolor book with great step-by-step instructions for beginners. It definitely inspired me to play with watercolors more and explore metallics. Low stars are for the copy- There are a lot of issues with this digital copy. Blank pages and a lot of black pages that seem like they’re supposed to be underlay? I can see some of the metallic artwork on them. Hard to read it.
I am a professional artist and use watercolor in some of my work. I appreciated the set up of this book but it’s under my skill level. I would not purchase it for myself but I may recommend it for beginners. I think overall I’d give the book a 3.5*, maybe higher if I could read it better and issues with digital copy are corrected.

I love painting and colouring. I have struggled to use metallic watercolour in a way that will bring the best out of them. It is very difficult to get that metallic glow to stand out. And this book is perfect in showing me how to do just that.

Easy-to-follow, specific and step by step approach to using metallic watercolour. I do not need another book on this paint type and technique after this book.
The examples were stunning.

Even those that don't want to draw at all can just download the colouring pages and have a go at the painting. There are 20 projects on all kinds of themes, and clear step by step instructions beautifully illustrated. This includes instructions for ordinary watercolour painting, and for the metallic painting. It is definitely a little bit different and something to have a go at. This would make a lovely gift for artistic or crafty friends.

Really lovely book that covers some of the watercolor basics as well has how to apply beautiful metallic paints to really dazzle. I especially love that there is a QR code that will let you download and print the coloring book pages, so that if you are not great at drawing - you can still play with the paints.
Would make a nice gift for the holidays along with some watercolor paint.
