Thank you Netgalley, the Publisher and the author for the advanced reader copy of this publication.
I have been lucky to travel quite often and experience many flavors in the blue regions. To now have access to the recipes to make at home and the ingredients so easy to find in markets in the US. This is the greatest addition to any mid-level home chef's kitchen.

This is an excellent cookbook, filled with recipes for dishes that I've been trying to master from some of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants. Each section incudes multiple great recipes, many of which are also accompanied by beautiful pictures. My mouth was literally watering looking at this cookbook. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy this one before the release date!

I received a copy of this eBook from netGalley for a honest review.
I fun, interesting cookbook that follows the blue zone idea. I found lots of wonderful looking and tasting recipes in this book.

This is an interesting cookbook, the illustrated chapter introductions were beautiful but I didn't love the photography style of the recipes. I also wish the recipes came with an introduction. There were quite a few that didn't have photos and wasn't a very recognizable dish so I would've had to google what the dish is prior to making it. I would say it does have some interesting health recipes in here, but would make for a companion book to someone who's already familiar with Blue Zone cooking.

Splendid collection of recipes that most people can actually make. I loved the pictures and the entire visual format too.

THE BLUE KITCHEN is based on the very popular current idea of ‘blue zones’ where inhabitants live healthy, active lives throughout even their very senior years. The recipes inside adhere to the Mediterranean Diet and do a beautiful job of explaining ingredients and providing photos of the finished product. There are some valuable additions to the standard Mediterranean Diet cookbook, making this well worth adding to the home cook’s bookshelf. I received my copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

This is such a beautiful cookbook. It's also laid out well and easy to follow. I haven't had the chance to cook from the recipes yet but I'm excited to do so. I also can't wait to get a physical copy. It's full of beautifully simple, clean foods that seem easy to prepare.
Thank you NetGalley and Cedar Mill Press for the opportunity to review this book.

A plant-forward, complete Mediterranean cookbook with a vast array of recipes Including cocktails. The photos that accompany each recipe are vivid and detailed which helps when you're plating the dish. I've made several of the dishes and will say these delicious recipes are easy to follow and not complicated at all. A perfect addition to your kitchen!

Overall the recipes are intriguing and as a veggie and mediterranean food lover a lot of them appealed to me personally. The photography left something to be desired, I would say the pictures are informative but not always engaging or appetizing.
The red flags for me included a handful of ingredients I had never heard of, which isn't necessarily a deal breaker but there wasn't any suggestions made for substitutes or explanations of flavor so I can make my own substitutions. The other thing that jumped out was the lack of an author, for either the book or for the introduction? Fair or not a marker that I look towards with cookbooks is whether or not other cookbook authors or professionals are engaging and blurbing the book.

I honestly don't know what to make of a cookbook that has no listed author or food photographer credited. Was it generated by AI? I have tried one recipe and it was pretty good, but I admit I am puzzled by this book.

The Blue Kitchen is a must-have cookbook, featuring recipes designed for a long and healthy life. I tried the Baba Ghanoush recipe twice, and it turned out perfect each time. The book's charm is enhanced by illustrations of the countries the recipes originate from, while vibrant, mouthwatering photos accompany the step-by-step cooking instructions.

Delightful, healthy recipes gleaned from the so called 'blue places' in the world where the populations are healthier. Unfortunately, this is an American publication and there are no metric equivalents to quantities and the temperatures are given in Fahrenheit. If you can get past that, you'll enjoy this book.

Mediterranean food has always been my favourite, and this book is slammed full of recipes and information. I haven't cooked anything yet, but I'm excited to try out some of the recipes in my own kitchen.

This is a brilliant cookbook for people looking for new Mediterranean inspired recipes. The recipes are easy to read, and includes pictures of the recipes so there is more of a guide to go by. I tried out the spicy carrot recipe and it was delightful and very easy to make.
I would have liked to have seen an introduction to each recipe, something to explain the dish or give more background into the recipe.
The recipes are only in volume/imperial measurements, so those who use metrics/weight for cooking will need to convert the recipes.

Interesting recipes. Some familiar from other blue zone books. I haven't gotten around to cooking a recipe yet, but I enjoyed reading this book

I really enjoyed this cookbook and found some great new recipes to try!
One thing I do really wish this cookbook had descriptions for the recipes. There were quite a few recipes that I wasn't familiar with that didn't have a description of the recipe or a photo of the dish so I wasn't really sure what it was. However, I did love the art style for the chapter breaks. It was absolutely gorgeous and the photos that were in the book were also beautifully done.

I love Mediterranean food and have been trying recipes on my husband and kids and they’ve all been a hit!! Will keep making my way through these recipes and incorporating them into a regular routine!

The cookbook has some nice recipes however they are not very special or original. Some of the pictures also didn’t reflect the recipes and could’ve been taken with some more attention. Didn’t wow me

The book is visually stunning. Most of the instructions seem easy enough to follow, and the layout of the book is very appealing. Some of the ingredients are difficult to source, particularly as a person living in a smaller community. This would make it hard for the average person to follow the recipes without looking for substitutions.

The Blue Kitchen: 100+ Recipes from the Happiest Corners of the World by Cider Mill Press is a delightful cookbook that whisks you away on a global culinary adventure, bringing together vibrant recipes inspired by some of the world’s happiest food traditions. While the concept of using food to promote health and happiness isn’t new, this book stands out by focusing on simple, fresh, and often raw ingredients that make healthy eating easy and accessible—even for the busiest of schedules. One of my favorite aspects of the book is that the recipes are straightforward without a long write-up as a preamble. Sometimes I just want recipes; I do not always need to know an anecdote about it.
Much like the Malibu Farm Cookbook and even a bit like Pamela Anderson’s I Love You: Recipes from the Heart, The Blue Kitchen offers a similar vibe: wholesome, flavorful dishes with minimal prep work that focus on the beauty of fresh, nourishing ingredients. Whether you’re tossing together a colorful salad or throwing together a hearty grain bowl, these recipes are quick to make, perfect for anyone who wants to eat healthy without spending all day in the kitchen. If you love healthy, vibrant, and quick meals like those from Malibu Farm or I Love You, this book is a great addition to your cookbook collection.
