It's a second-chance romance, so it's already a plus in my book. I like how it's easy to read, but every word is chosen with a deep message. It's deep and light-hearted at the same time.

Have I Told You Lately by Beth Moran is an easy read story concerning some serious issues. It is a thank you to the author who wrote Emmie’s story with such grace, love and hope. Emmie’s story is one of reflection, new beginnings, uncovering secrets and finding love. The past may step on the heels of today, but it doesn’t have to control the future. Seeing Emmie through this story open her mind, her heart to have dreams, hopes and a better day was encouraging and inspiring. A wonderful story for the dark days of winter or for anytime that you need a lift.

A lovely read from Beth. I have read a couple of her books and this one didn’t disappoint. Emmie has decided to chang her life and goes looking to find out about her Mothers early life and also hopes to fall in love with the crush she has had for two years. Of course life is never easy.

This was a very easy read. I loved the theme of history repeating and second chances. I was a fan of of the how the letters were used in the story too,

Emmie Brown mother has died, she found papers that changed the way she saw things including her mom and herself. This book had a lot going on, I enjoyed seeing what was going to happen next. A really good read.

Another beautiful story from this wonderful author. I always enjoy a Beth Moran book, and I always know I’m going to finish it feeling satisfied and with a smile on my face (and occasionally a happy tear in my eye!)
I wasn’t expecting the twists and turns in this one, Emmie sure went through it, and I didn’t guess who was sabotaging things until it was revealed - so that was a great plot twist!
I think we’d all like a friend like Blessing too. Definite high recommendation for this book.

This was a cute story. I loved the supportive relationships between the females. Such a nice change from so many other stories. Pip was sweet. It was a bit slow in the beginning.

I stayed up late reading this! I just love Beth Moran's books, she gets complicated families, and real life and romance just right. Emmie finds some mysterious letters in her late mother's things, leading her on an adventure to discover the truth about her mum and herself. Set on the beautiful island of Siskin, in the summertime. It's so cold here, I was glad to imagine myself in some sunshine!

I fell in love with my first Beth Moran book, Let It Snow and she continues to write cozy reads that are more than just a romance. This author always ticks all the boxes for me.
Emmie is adopted and her mom, Nellie gave up everything so that she and Emmie could have a good life. When Emmie discovers a photo and bunch of love letters from someone called G her hunt for this mysterious man finds her on the Isle of Siskin and there she meets the Hawkins family. She tries to discover Gs true identity and when she does it’s very surprising

Beth Moran writes loveable characters that are realistic and are written with depth. Are they perfect? No, and I like that about them. I love Emmie’s friendship with Blessing. Blessing is someone I wish I had in my corner. Emmie and Pip had such a wonderful relationship and when she meets his family and got to know them I was I wishing I was one of them. This story has a wonderful community at its center and the Isle of Siskin was a character as well. I loved discovering it with Emmie. While she was discovering the island she was also learning about herself. This is also a story about women helping women and how easy your life can change.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the food from the book. Emmie took over a little kiosk in the airport when her mom died. They sell drinks and pasties. I love fiction books filled with food. The pasty ingredients, recipes and the making of them made my mouth water and my tummy rumble.

This book had a little bit of everything mystery, conflict, romance, travel and the discovering of oneself. Yet another heartwarming story by Beth Moran.

An uplifting story of Emmie; who dares to make changes, go off on her version of an adventure and discover more about herself than she ever dared dream.

Following the death of her Mum, Emmie tires of the routine, aching for more but unaware of how or what she needs to do. Discovering old family secrets, and having a slight crush on a certain hot farmer all lead to her breaking free of the past. Or is she?

Amusing, thoughtful and inspiring. Emmie follows her heart, even when she’s so used to doing the right thing. She takes chances, even if she goes the long way about it. The romance may be a slow burn but it isn’t the main part of her story, it’s the fact she discovers more about herself.

A lovely read, with humour, romance and some brilliantly funny characters.

Really lovely romance. I think i fell in love a bit too, but with the island described in the book. I also really appreciate the plot of the story focusing a lot on character development and really figuring out what suits you individually in life, thats so important and beaitiful to read about. Really recommend, such a nice and lovely and well written book.

If you enjoy a heartwarming romance with a bit of a mystery this is definitely the book for you.
Emmie has always known she was adopted by the woman she called Mum and has had no contact with her birth family,
whom her mother described as a bunch of criminals.
Both women work hard selling pasties at Nottingham airport but when Nelly dies, Emmy finds great difficulty coming to terms with it.
Her late mother had run Emmie’s life, leaving no room for fun or relaxation. When she oversleeps one morning and unexpectedly comes by some money she decides to investigate her mother’s earlier life. Inspired by some old letters from a mysterious man called G she heads for a remote island which also happens to be the home of one of her regular customers on whom she has a slight crush.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story, the on and off relationship between Emmie and Pip and the beautiful descriptions of the isle of Siskin- which seemed so real that I googled the place and was disappointed to find it didn’t actually exist.
The characters were well drawn and the mystery of why Nell separated from her husband, G, was beautifully explained and held my attention as the letters gradually revealed what had happened.
This was my first book by Beth Moran and after reading it I have decided that it certainly won’t be my last.

This was exactly the kind of book I expected: an emotion filled journey of our FMC, Emmie, working through her grief and finding herself while learning more about her mother's past.

I literally flew through the book after the first 20%. It was paced really well to me and had me really connected and emotional for our FMC. I was crying, angry and frustrated for her and I was cheering her on the whole way through for her to get her happy ending and heal. It was truly immersive and such an enjoyable read and gave me the good cry I wanted.

Have I Told You Lately is a heartwarming story about families, secrets, and finding yourself. Emmie makes a spur of the moment decision to follow Pip (Phillip) to the Isle of Siskin where she hopes to uncover some information about her mother’s past.

The story has a cast of wonderful characters and offers a great mix of drama, romance, and everyday life. It’s such a warm and enjoyable read - as are all of Beth’s books that I have read. My first 5⭐️ read of 2025

Another masterpiece from this author who always writes about real people and relatable issues and gets to the heart of human emotion.

This was a story about friendship, grief and families and secrets and was a heartwarming and uplifting read about strong women which contained a strong underlying message of it’s never too late to make a fresh start or to chase your dreams and that life is for living.

This book was a slow starter for me, I almost dnf’d it. But the positive reviews kept me moving forward, and I’m glad I did.

Emmie, adopted as a baby by a mother who was very stern, no-nonsense and laser focused on building and keeping her business running. There was no travel, very little time given to fun or laughter. When Nell died, Emmie is left with their home and the business, and she keeps moving in the same way she’s known.

When a morning spent oversleeping leads to some life-changing decisions, Emmie begins to grow and change. With help from her friend Blessing, Emmie takes a chance ona trip to Siskin to see if the feeling she has for Pip is real, and maybe discover the place that Nell was happy. Secrets are revealed, conflicts happen and somewhere along the way, Emmie comes into her own.

Another heartwarming story from Beth Moran.

Emmie runs her late mother's pasty business, day in and day out...until the day that she decides she needs to get out. Following a whim and her heart to the Isle of Siskin she discovers a lot about the woman she called mother and herself there too.

Moran's stories are always well developed and the characters believable; this one is no different. It wasn't entirely predictable and I was left questioning my predictions at many points - it's a good length read too. If you like Moran's other works, you'll enjoy this one. It's the right mix of the every day, the dreamy and the drama!

Another great story by Beth Moran. Have I Told You Lately is a heartwarming story about Emmie who wakes up one day and decides to change her life. I really enjoyed it.
