I very much enjoyed reading this book! The meeting between the main characters was a little too coincidental, but it’s fiction so you gotta just go with it. I liked the dual perspective and how the relationship deepened as they spent time together. I would have liked to read more about the time right after the baby was born, but instead it jumped ahead three months. Throw in a mis-communication, a resolution, and then you’re at the happy ending.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read and review this book prior to publication.

This is a delightful romantic comedy by Camilla Isley that keeps the reader engaged and wanting more! I’ve never read anything by this author and believe me, I’m going to now! Such a cute story and a roller coaster of emotions!

What a wonderful way to start the new year! I couldn't put this book down and ended up reading it in one sitting.
The story just lured me in; Rowena and Adrian's first "blind" meeting, their flourishing relationship, their brutal honesty about their attraction towards each other and how Adrian supported Rowena pursue new career goals. Kudos to Camilla Isley for also writing about postpartum depression.
If the Ring Fits is the second book in the Funny Feelings series. It has snippets of the characters from the previous book, This is Not a Holiday Romance - but can be easily read as a standalone.

3.7 Stars
One Liner: Cute!
Investment banker Adrian is a high-profile CIO with a successful career and no personal life. He is confident in his abilities but finds out he needs to impress his CEO and comes up with a non-existent fiancée. Where can he find one now?
Rowena is a software engineer who finds out she is pregnant with her douchebag ex’s child and loses her job on the same day. When her path crosses with Adrain, he offers an agreement that could help her find her feet.
Will the fake engagement and marriage lead to true love?
The story comes in Rowena and Adrain’s first-person POVs.
My Thoughts:
The book is standalone. I didn’t read the previous book in the series but it didn’t affect my enjoyment.
The beginning is quite a hook. The first chapter starts at ‘present’ of sorts and has high tension ending with a cliffhanger. Then, we get the flashback from both POVs.
The book combines quite a few tropes – fake dating/ marriage, age gap (11 years), one bed, surprise pregnancy, women in STEM, etc. I like that the age gap is not emphasized much after the initial mention. It doesn’t as such have a vital role but kinda makes the MMC appear mature.
Though the FMC is in STEM, it plays a relatively moderate role in the plot. This one focuses on their fake relationship and her pregnancy most of the time.
The FMC is cute enough, though I’m not sure the nickname suits her. She doesn’t really come across as Sunshine. Makes sense considering she has enough concerns about her future. She is quirky but even that doesn’t exactly hit right. We are told her ex didn’t like her humor but it wasn’t that weird, IMO. However, I chuckled a few times so the banter was fun to read.
The side characters are interesting (one couple is from the previous book). Another couple from a different book (I read that one!) also made a guest appearance. It was a nice surprise. Of course, the ex was a huge jerk (pretty stereotypical and has a teeny part).
Despite the sexual tension, the book ended up being closed door. Strange! Those who want to read the ‘action’ can subscribe to her newsletter.
The pacing is decent, moderate to fast, and keeps the story moving. Despite being the archetype, the MMC displays good growth. I like that it is steady and aligns with who he appears to be. No immature drama either (from his side).
To summarize, If the Ring Fits is an entertaining and cute romance if you enjoy the said tropes. It has a few issues but is a satisfactory read overall.
Thank you, NetGalley and Boldwood Books, for eARC. This review is voluntary and contains my honest opinion about the book.

A super hot investment banker & a recently fired software engineer meet throwing up in a bathroom and make an agreement that solves both of the problems that ended them there in the first place, by getting fake married… obviously it’s not as cut and dry as they would like because they’re both sexy competent adults who turn out to be perfect for one another. What follows was entertaining, engaging, but not overly memorable. I feel like I never got a good sense of the characters, I knew their motivations and understood them but I didn’t feel it you know??
Camilla Isley is slick for this one, sneaking in one of my favourite tropes of all time without me knowing beforehand. I was gonna read it anyways but then it was an accidental pregnancy & a marriage of convenience? Yeah I’m obviously down.
All that being said, If the Ring Fits was a fun, fast paced read perfect for anyone who’s looking for a cute romcom that involves a FMC whose weakness is hot and competent men (amen), and adults who text awkwardly.
Thank you to NetGalley & Bollywood Books for providing me with this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts!

Had this as an ARC read as I liked the premise of the story and I was also drawn to the front cover.
When I first started this book I initially I didn't feel I was going to enjoy it, particularly with how the story first starts, but as I settled into it more and more, I realised I was going to be proved so wrong.
This story was heart-warming, caring and I so fell in love with the main characters Rowena and Adrian.
Both characters had their struggles at the beginning of the story and from their first meeting, it was obvious that they would look out for each other, particularly Adrian and the way he cared and catered to any of Rowena needs throughout was delightful.
I have never read any of Camilla's books before, but I will definitely be looking out for more in the future particularly 'It is not a Holiday Romance', the first in the Funny Feelings Series, which I have net yet read, but I will definitely be making sure I add this to my reading list in the new year.

This book had a great plot with intriguing characters. I’ll definitely be looking out for more from this author.

What a great book! I really enjoyed reading it. The slow burn was perfection and the chemistry was perfection. I loved the development of Rowena and Adrian's romance, how Adrian became protective over Rowena.
I also really enjoyed the character development of Rowena and what she went through and overcame.

I really enjoyed this as a romantic comedy element, it had that feel that I was looking for and was hooked from the first page. The characters were everything that I wanted and enjoyed the overall concept. Camilla Isley has a strong writing style and was engaged with the concept. I enjoyed the way this was written and used the marriage element that I wanted.

Just binged this book delightfully! I very much enjoyed escaping into the lives of Rowena and Adrian. I think my favorite part of the book is that the main character is pregnant. You'd think this would be viewed as a negative thing, given the context of Rowena's life, however Isley did an amazing job at allowing the readers to see that pregnancy can be beautiful and sexy. As a mom of four young kids, I really appreciated that reminder. Both Rowena and Aiden are delightful characters who we gradually get to peel the layers back of their depth. Also, when I say there was *tension* (wink wink), I mean there was TENSION that really forced you to keep page turning. This one was definitely a "tie it up with a pretty bow" ending which is what you want in a romcom, right?! I am a sucker for witty banter while falling in love, and this book fed my need for it. Lastly, I loved how both characters are SO intelligent and innovative in their careers. It was a nice juxtaposition to the hot mess of their personal life! So, if romcom is your thing, this is definitely worth the read. Did I mention I cried a lot towards the end? Because I did. There were many beautiful tears. Enjoy!
A big thanks to NetGalley and Bollywood Books for providing me this sweet romance's digital reviewer copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

4.5 ⭐️
couldn't wrap up the year with a better book!!
i just love how camila intertwines her story to one another creating this one big camila isley universe that i love sooo much (it was lovely seeing old characters like jonh, thomas and reese)
arian and rowena's story was delightful, full of heartfelt moments and self growth. ♥️
this is a perfect book for the lovers of marriage of convenience and pregnancy trope like me 🙃
thank you netgalley and camilla isley for an advanced copy.

If the Ring Fits is a good book, but not great, so four stars, not five. I finished this book several days ago and to tell you the truth, I had to go and look at the book on my kindle to see if I finished it! That screams to me it is not memorable. I do know that while reading it I felt the story was slow and didn't hold my interest at all times. Still it was a good story (after I refreshed my memory) and well written, so 4 stars. Thank you NetGalley and Camilla Isley for an advanced copy.

thank you netgalley and boldwood for the arc in exchange for an honest review !
in full transparency i wasn’t the biggest fan of the first book so i was hesitant reading this one but i actually really enjoyed it
while i think setup wise it was a little too predictable and perfect i still really enjoyed the build up to the relationship and getting to see the character development for both people which i think is something that’s not really fleshed out in most rom com books
especially with rowena and her postpartum depression, i think that in media it’s not something really talked about after birth and i really appreciate the author showing that it’s not always perfect after both especially for the new mother
and with adrian seeing him learn to open up and unlearn old habits and making room to love and to be more than just an employee who wants that promotion, even towards the end seeing the way that he dropped everything to be there for rowena really shows the growth he had in the time of this book
also side note i always eat up a billionaire romance like im in love with adrian for that reason as well HAHA
i also love the little found family aspect of it and getting to see crumbs of the other couples / soon to be couples and really gets me excited to see what the author has next
i’m so so so excited to see what the author has coming next and am glad i didn’t stop after the first book
mini playlist is they’re very daylight - taylor swift and unlearn - gracie abrams

Sometimes, the worst day of your life can lead to something unexpectedly wonderful, and that’s exactly what happens in If The Ring Fits by Camilla Isley. This delightful rom-com follows Adrian, a workaholic investment banker, and Rowena, a software engineer whose life has just imploded, as they stumble into an unconventional fake engagement that’s as chaotic as it is entertaining.
The story kicks off with a hilarious meet-cute in a women’s bathroom—a perfect setup for a book packed with humour and heart. Adrian invents the engagement to impress his CEO, while Rowena, grappling with unemployment and an unplanned pregnancy, agrees to go along. From there, we’re treated to a classic mix of tropes, including the always entertaining “only one bed” scenario, as their charade begins to blur the lines between fake and real.
While the premise may be a bit outlandish, it’s impossible not to root for these two as they navigate their way through misunderstandings, growing feelings, and personal growth. Adrian’s journey from a work-driven life to someone willing to take a chance on love is particularly satisfying to watch, while Rowena’s guarded mistrust adds just the right amount of tension.
Though the ending is predictable—as it should be in a feel-good romance—it’s the journey that makes this book so enjoyable. Isley’s humour shines throughout, and the story is full of heartwarming moments that will leave you smiling.
Final Thoughts:
This is the second book in the “Funny Feelings” series, but it can easily be read as a standalone. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to dive into more of Camilla Isley’s work. If you’re a fan of fake relationship stories and laugh-out-loud romantic comedies, this one’s a must-read!
Thank you to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for the ARC of this book. The thoughts and opinions expressed here are my own.

Having read the first book in this series, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect with this story. It had the potential to be a bit 'icky' but luckily it was not - Rowena and Adrian are both likeable characters who are easy to root for! It was a really fun read, but also quite thought provoking in places. Any long time fans of Camilla's books will be delighted to encounter characters from the 'Love Algorithm' and 'Baby, One More Time' once more.
This book is the second in the 'Funny Feelings' series, but could totally be read as a standalone.

This is a good book to read when in a reading slump or a palate cleanser between heavy books.
Since I wasn't in either state, I felt a little underwhelmed by the story.
Apart from being ridiculously unrealistic, even in rom-com standards, it was also kind of superficial. Both characters fell in love just because the author wanted them to. There were some cutesy and wholesome parts, hence the 3 stars, but they weren't enough to say they had chemistry.
I think they were better as friends. They cared about each other and both definitely helped the other with their problem, but I think them falling in love was an overstretch.
Some readers might disagree with me and end up liking it, it was definitely a me thing, so I wouldn't say I don't recommend it. It's worth the read.

This was a really cute book and I was really excited about it when NetGalley sent it to me. I love a good fake marriage trope and this one started off strong. This has just the right amount of spice for me where you have a really slow burn and then you know what’s happening without graphic detail. My only complaint is that the time jumps felt really inconsistent and towards the end kept getting longer and longer. It made the ending feel rushed and different from the first 3/4th of the book. I still recommend it and I look forward to reading more from Camilla Isley.

I adored this with every fibre of my being; it was the perfect blend of a marriage of convenience and an opposites-attract romance. It reminded me so much of Marriage for One, which I absolutely loved.
I can’t lie the opening chapter really had me, and I was wondering how this was going to go, and the their unusual meet sick (shall we say) was so uniquely done, I just loved how it set the stage for Rowena and Adrian. The way it all came together was so beautiful, it was easily a 5 star read for me. It’s one of those reads I can definitely see myself coming back to and reading again!!
It had me kicking my feet and grinning like a fool. Rowena and Adrian were everything they didn’t realise they needed in each other, and watching their connection bloom was pure joy.
I finished this in less than a day and it was so good, like so fucking good, omgg— the way I’m just smiling to myself, all emotional, too because it was so freaking sweet.
A quick note: while there’s no on-page spice, the tension and the little moments shared between Rowena and Adrian more than made up for it—they were just so perfect for each other. There is a spicy bonus scene at the end, which I absolutely loved too! All in all, this was everything I wanted and more.

4stars for this book!
From the moment I started it was hard to put down.
Rowena is having a bad day, she recently broke up with her boyfriend, has found out she's pregnant and has just heard the news she's been let go, this sends her racing to the bathroom to empty her insides.
Adrian is hoping for a promotion and has just found out he's not a great candidate because he's not a "family-guy". This, and probably the bad sushi he ate sends also sends him to the bathroom to evacuate his insides.
There, between the stalls he "meets" Rowena and they end up striking a deal. He'll help her out, if she pretends to be his fake girlfriend/fiance for a spell.
Same old faking/marriage of convenience type deal.. eye roll... nuh, uh,uh... now hold on....!
Rowen and Adrian strike a deal and forge a sweet friendship while living together.
Of course, close confines bring individuals together, exposing them and making them vulnerable.
As they carry on their ruse, they can't help but be attracted to one another. Adrian is a perfect gentleman and keeps his distance. Well, you just have to read it to enjoy the rest!
Closed door romance with a super wonderful surprise at the end!
Guys, honestly, don't skip the authors note at the end...ever!!! Haha loved it!
Many thanks to Netgalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to read and share my thoughts.

Oh how I love arranged marriages, especially those that turn out well although, honestly, our hero was a little too perfect to be true, but we did see a couple of old friends again and that's always good too. Now I'm waiting for Hunter and Dylan's story.
