This is my formal request to you - dear reader of this review - to read If The Ring Fits by the one and only Camilla Isley.
I usually like (or try) to be kinda mysterious about the plots on my reviews but I simply cannot not talk about this one. So I chose to give you a quick run down of the most unhinged (in the best way possible) meet cute I've ever read:
Adrian West is on the run to be CEO of a big finance company, but overhears that he's not going to get it because he doesn't have a life outside work nor a family. So he does what any sensible person would do. Lies to his boss, telling he not only has a fiancée, but that they are expecting. After throwing up all his lunch in a public restroom, he finds there is a lady - Rowena, which was also throwing up - in the next stall that just found out she's pregnant and fired. So of course, as any sensible person, Adrian proposes to her (YAYYYY) while they are still in the stalls (LOL).
GUYS I 👏 ATE 👏 THIS 👏 UP 👏
Tell me - how could I not be obsessed with this book after this scene? Do you guys need more convincing?
This is a marriage of convenience, grumpy-sunshine, age gap (is only mentioned once, so does it really counts?) romance. It is funny, has a lot of banter, chemistry and cameos of characters from her other books. Here we get to see Dr. John Raikes as the best OB in Manhattan, Thomas and Reese as entrepreneurs at MC toys and of course K-2P, funny and full of itself as ever.
If The Ring Fits is the perfect rom-com to get you out of a slump. It will instantly turn you into a Camilla Isley fan. As a bonus, it also gives us a little glimpse at our beloved characters after the end of the True Love series. On a second thought, I feel like this is the perfect book for fans of Lauren Asher's Dreamland Billionaires series.
Thank you so much to the publisher and Netgalley for the access to this ARC. I received a complimentary copy of this book and all the opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This book had me hooked from the first chapter. Adrian & Rowena meet in a chaotic bathroom moment. I love how the first chapter is current & then the book goes to the past.
It had the right amount of tension & spice. They also have a large age gap which I thought was fun. I do feel like the ending was a bit rushed & so that is why it wasn’t five stars for me.
If you need a quick, binge worthy romance this is it!
Thank you NetGalley, Camilla Isley, & Boldwood Books for the eARC.

The lastest book by Camila Isley is a good one.. two people make a marriage of convenience for the mmc Adrian needed a wife for a promotion that he wanted.rowena lost her job so she benefited by him taking care of her. Adrian is a cinnamon roll in the story. He change from a workaholic to e there for her.

If the Ring Fits was such a fun read! Once again, Camilla Isley delivers fabulous characters and storylines with plenty of humor and feelings mixed in. She’s one of my favorite authors and I’m already looking forward to the next in the series.
Software engineer Rowan’s situation can’t get much worse at the moment: pregnant with her horrible ex’s baby, jobless, and not knowing how she’ll pay the rent. Enter driven workaholic banker Adrian, who’s just learned his boss is going to pass him over for the CEO job because he ISN’T a family guy. The solution? A marriage of convenience where she’ll have a place to live, health insurance, and cash, and he’ll have a wife with a baby on the way. No feelings though.
Except there are ALL the feelings, not that either of them will admit it! The chemistry is there, and living in close quarters brings out buried emotions and more. Watching them love and support each other through the twists and turns, laughing at the clever banter, seeing their inner turmoil, feeling all the romcom warmth. This book was absolutely for me! Although most of it is pretty light, there are some heavier topics in here, so do check the trigger warnings.
As for spice, it’s mostly closed-door but there’s a steamy bonus chapter if you’re interested!
And finally, if you’ve read her other books, there are some fun cameos from Nina and Tristan (This Is not a Holiday Romance – book 1 in the series) and Dr. John Raikes (Baby, One More Time).

I do like Camilla Isley's rom-coms, so I sincerely appreciated the early look at "If the Ring Fits", which is described as an "age gap, marriage of convenience rom-com with a multi-millionaire MMC and a STEM FMC". Which it was, along with forced proximity, one bed and some other tropes on top. And maybe that was my main issue with it - it just kinda felt like too much, like checking boxes or something. And neither of the leads exactly wowed me either, though the guy was fine but I'm really kinda over the richy rich boys. My favorite part of this one was the call-back characters from "The Love Algorithm" including the very adorable robot K-2P! Also, this is a "clean romance" which I really do appreciate a lot! So, a mixed review from me. My thanks to the publisher & Net Galley for the advanced readers copy - I do appreciate it greatly.

The firts chapter of this book takes your heart by surprise and for the rest of the story you keep pushing for Adrian and Rowena's happy ending, even if it seems impossible. A fake relantionship that seems more real with every day they share. Will they be able to find their way back together? A beautiful love story full of feelings and emotions.

Thank you Boldwood and Netgalley for a chance to read this! 4.5/5 stars!
I RELALY enjoyed this one. The 'second' in a series (Nina/Tristan being the first), this follows Rowena and Adrian through a marriage of convenience/pregnancy trope. While all marriage of convenience tropes require a bit of a suspension of belief, I thought this one actually was relatively plausible. Rowena is recently pregnant and jobless, looking for some sort of stability while Adrian is a workaholic hopeful for a shot at CEO through establishing a family life.
While this is super slow burn and Isley's typical PG-13 style (with just a touch of spice in a separate chapter), it worked really well. You could really feel the attraction and romance grow between Adrian and Rowena and I loved watching them come into their feelings. I loved some of the smaller side plots about career (HELLO Reese/Thomas/K2P! LOVED seeing them again) and the friendship group we met in FF #1. I also really liked the few chapters on postpartum depression: as someone who personally struggled, the way Rowena spun out felt SO realistic.
All in all, I thought this was just so enjoyable, and just the right balance of chemistry and romance!

Holy hell! The slow burn of this book… *fans myself* I could not put this book down! I am not a fan of unexpected pregnancy stories, but this one was fantastic and made me rethink my stance on that. Also there is a surprise cameo from her previous series and a sexy bonus chapter which was the cherry on top of a sundae. Camilla Isley is quickly becoming a must-read author for me. I can’t wait to go and read the first book in this series now!

I love Camilla Isley books, so even though this book has the marriage of convenience trope, I took a chance on it, and I am so glad I did.
I love this book.
It has so much heart, so much warmth and the slow burn was a delight to read. A joy from start to finish.
Five stars!

This book offers a captivating blend of engaging storytelling and well-crafted characters. The plot moves at a steady pace, keeping the reader hooked from start to finish. The author’s writing style is both accessible and thought-provoking, with themes that resonate long after the final page. While the story may feel familiar at times, the depth of the characters and the emotional weight of their journeys make it a worthwhile read. Overall, this book is an enjoyable and memorable experience, perfect for fans of rom-coms Highly recommended!

If the Ring Fits is an enjoyable slow-burn romance that follows Rowena and Adrian as they navigate their marriage of convenience. I loved both characters and the relationship between them, as well as their transformations. I’m looking forward to Dylan and Hunter’s story!

"If the Ring Fits" by Camilla Isley is a romantic comedy gem that hooked me from the first page. The dynamic between Adrian and Rowena is electric, with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and swoon-worthy chemistry. The one-bed scenarios and their clumsy attempts to keep things "just business" add perfect tension and charm.
What truly sets this book apart is its humor and emotional depth. Isley masterfully balances comedic misunderstandings with poignant moments, and the story's modern twists on the marriage of convenience trope feel fresh and engaging, making it impossible not to root for these two. Whether you're a fan of witty banter, heartfelt romance, or the joy of watching two people realize they’re perfect for each other, "If the Ring Fits" is a must-read. I loved every second of this journey and can't wait to dive into more of Isley's work.

Camilla Isley serves up a delicious romantic comedy that hits all the right notes. Take one brilliant but down-on-her-luck software engineer, add an investment banker desperate enough to invent a fake fiancée, throw in an unexpected pregnancy, and watch the sparks fly. The result? A charming story that'll have you grinning from ear to ear.
Our heroine Rowena isn't just another romance protagonist – she's a wonderfully real character whose sharp wit helps her roll with life's punches. When she crosses paths with Adrian, a smooth-talking banker whose fictional fiancée scheme is about to blow up in his face, their "arrangement" sets up the perfect storm of awkward situations and undeniable attraction.
The joy of this book lies in watching these two dance around their growing feelings while trying to maintain their elaborate charade. Adrian's polished exterior starts cracking to reveal something much more interesting underneath, and their chemistry practically leaps off the page. Isley knows exactly when to make you laugh and when to make your heart skip a beat.
Sure, you'll find familiar romance tropes here – including the ever-reliable "oh no, there's only one bed!" – but they're handled with such warmth and humor that they feel fresh rather than formulaic. While the story occasionally takes some time jumps that leave you wanting more, the overall journey is thoroughly satisfying.
This is the kind of book that reminds you why romantic comedies are so much fun in the first place. It's sweet without being saccharine, sexy without trying too hard, and genuine enough to make you care about what happens to these characters long after you close the book.
A huge thanks to NetGalley and Bollywood Books for providing me this heartfelt romance's digital reviewer copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

Sure! Here's an improved version of your review, making it more engaging while retaining your key points:

*If the Ring Fits* delivers a delightful mix of humor and heart, setting the stage with an unforgettable meeting between its two protagonists, Adrian and Rowena, under quirky and amusing circumstances. Their chemistry is electric, and the transition from strangers to a marriage of convenience feels both fresh and exciting. The book expertly explores the tension between them, particularly as they find themselves in forced intimate situations, which adds layers of complexity to their relationship.
One of the key dynamics in the story is the power imbalance: Adrian, with his wealth and control, takes on the role of provider for Rowena, creating an intriguing push-and-pull in their evolving connection. The narrative also offers plenty of introspective moments, allowing the characters to reflect on their growing feelings, which deepens the emotional stakes.
While the story is undeniably fun and full of engaging twists, I did find myself hoping for more steamy scenes, as the chemistry between Adrian and Rowena certainly set the stage for them. Despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to exploring more works by this author in the future.

An easy, quick read, with all the aspects of a potential good romance book. The meet-cute was hilarious, and I loved the chemistry between the MMC and the FMC. However, the characters individual personality's felt very forced. I think the main thing for me was that the FMC was trying too hard to be "quirky" but ended up slightly whiny and entitled while the MMC seemed very dull. Very fast-paced, but I think that was a downfall at the same time because the story felt rushed at moments. Still, the plot was easy to follow and stayed on a consistent path which can be hard to find in a romance book. I also admired the character development, especially in the MMC.
Overall, this book had moments that I enjoyed, but unfortunately there were more misses than hits in my opinion. 2 stars as it was slightly below average to me.
*Tropes include:
-marriage of convenience
-age gap
-billionaire romance
-slow burn
-accidental pregnancy
-slow burn/closed door romance

Rating: ★★★★★
A must-read for rom-com lovers who believe love is worth the risk—even when it starts with a lie.

A very unlikely premise that makes for a cute, Hallmark-type story! Rowena finds herself in the unenviable position of tossing cookies in the bathroom after discovering she's pregnant, single, and unemployed. Adrian, too, finds himself in the unenviable position of tossing cookies in the bathroom after lying to his boss about having a pregnant fiance. A little too convenient, but so what -- it's a story, not real life! Camilla is fantastic about taking these completely unbelievable scenarios and making them work out perfectly, drawing the reader in and getting us to root for the characters to have their happily ever after. There were a few places where the time just suddently jumped and I felt like I missed something, but figured that was in the interest of keeping page count down. As someone who experienced it, I would have liked to seen the post-partum aspect addressed a bit more fully, if only because no one ever talks about it, and it felt like a missed opportunity to reach people in a non-confrontational manner.

This was a pretty good book, but it was too cheesy. I think the romance part is just not realistic. I think that it is overdone and it is too much and it took away from the writing in general
Thank you to NetGalley, to the author, and to the publisher for this complementary ARC in exchange for my honest review!!!

This book reminded me exactly why I love reading books by Camilla Isley. It had the perfect balance of sweet, corny, strangers to lovers, sexy, sensual and steamy scenes. I just loved this book!
On top of everything you’ll also get to read about past characters in other books.
Rowena is a very book-smart woman in a dead end job who suddenly finds herself fired and knocked up by her toxic ex boyfriend.
Adrian is a very smart and driven man with a very successful career in finance He has the world at his feet if not for the last point on his wish list, to be the CEO of the company he has worked for his whole life. The only problem here is he needs to find somebody exactly like Rowena to get the job.
This was a funny and at the same time endearing plot from the begging until the end.

Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the advanced reader copy.
I thought I would give Camilla Isley one more chance, but I can definitely say now, I'm not the reader for this author. The different pieces of this novel--fake dating, one bed, and an engagement pact trope--could've added up to something fun and frothy, but somehow the pieces just didn't come together for me. The book is fine but I won't return to this author.
