If the Ring Fits starts as a marriage of convenience between Rowena, newly pregnant and recently fired, and Adrian, cutthroat worker up for the CEO position in his company. Adrian needs to make his image more family oriented and tells his boss about his fiancee and the child they are expecting (which don't exist). As fate would have it Adrian and Rowena meet by chance and strike up a rapport and enter into a marriage of convenience. But as they start putting on a show for others, they both realize the attraction between each other and begin to wonder if this is real.
Camilla Isley never disappoints with her romance books. She writes great characters and wonderful yearning romance. I enjoyed Rowena's character as she was a softer FM. She had an underlying strength, but was not afraid to be vulnerable and acceot help. I did enjoy her coming into herself as the story went on and going after what she wanted.
Adrian was a huge cinnamon roll. Initially, he seems like he will be a tough guy but immediately shows a soft side whenever he is with Rowena. I loved how you could slowly feel him falling in love with Rowena. He was so caring of her and doing whatever he could t9 make her feel at ease
Their romance was sweet and full of them pining for each other most of the book. Everytime you thought they were going to give into their feelings, one of them pulled back. While I am not a fan of a pregnancy trope, I enjoyed how the author worked it into the story. Also, her portrayal of Rowena's difficulties as a new mother were very real and relatable. Readers could definitely feel her struggles. Another wonderful romance.

Did i enjoy it? So-so, premise was good, it took me almost a month to finish this, i struggled with the story.

This was definitely an easy read, cute and kinda funny. Not really for me, it seemed a little unbelievable (and I know there’s always a level of predictability in romance books). The meet cute was hilarious but even as far as marriage of convenience/fake engagement it was an oddly executed plot.
I did like the idea that it was focused on a women in STEM. Typically my bread and butter.

Thanks to NetGalley, Boldwood Books, and the author for the chance to read this book.
I am a sucker for Camilla Isley's rom-coms, they're super easy to read and keep my attention easily. The meet cute was so out there, but I loved the characters. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

“When life gives you lemons, fake an engagement” – truly a great summary of this whole book. A strike of unluckiness just hit Rowena and the biggest hit of ‘em all is to be fired by her nasty boss when she found out that she was pregnant by her toxic ex-boyfriend. Not cool at all! Not cool that suddenly her morning sickness came and led her to spend such a devastating few minutes in a bathroom stall… until she met a new friend in the stall next door, the mysterious hot-voiced man who is offering her a fake engagement!
Adrian, an investment banker who had his promotion at risk as his boss thinks he’s too workaholic. He seriously needs a fake fiancee to impress his boss and coincidentally met a stunning software engineer next door (stall 👀) He didn’t take a long time before kneeling in front of her and said: “(fake) marry me, Rowena!”
But their close proximity blurs the line, what once fake starts to feel real. Could they finally define their own feelings?
For me, this book has its own charm in bringing the humour and sweet fluff of romance to the readers–and I love it! Despite the rushed development of the leads’ relationship, I think I enjoyed their fun banter and *secretly* wished for more depth in their love relationship. Overall, it was such a fun experience reading this book!
Fake marriage lovers-girlies, out there! Here’s the perfect next read for you! ✨

Another banger from Camilla Isley! I didn't think I could more invested in any other characters than I was with Nina and Tristan (book 1) but I was completely head over heels in love with Rowena and Adrian! I loved their chemistry (and the bonus chapter of their first night!), it was everything and I am just in love with the style of writing! It was so perfect starting off with the end, especially after the end of book one saying Rowena moving out pregnant and married to a random!) to start off with her getting a divorce but wildly in love had me immediately invested thinking omg wtf happened!!! I loved it all!

3.75★ “I might be old-fashioned, but shouldn’t you at least ask my name before you propose?”
The concept has already griped me from the first chapter in itself. I liked how it was different from those stereotypical grumpy billionaire romances. The vibrant prose of the author was magical, i found myself hooked from the start, that too and the short chapters and spot-on pacing made following along much easier.
๑˙❥˙๑ “If some asshole middle manager at a fintech start-up fired my girlfriend for any reason, I would buy the whole damn company and clean house. Every last one of their management team would be out on the street faster than they could blink.”๑˙❥˙๑
Rowana and Adrian together were heart-touching and impactful, flawed but relatable with swoon worthy and delicious chemistry. Their first “meet-puke” was the most hilarious and unique first interaction i’ve read in a while. And this simultaneous puking their guts out leads to him proposing to her for marriage. And they say romance is dead.
The way they danced around their feelings for each other while trying to act *detached* made me giggle & swoon. I loved Rowana’s comic timing. The development of Adrian from career-oriented emotionally unavailable ruthless businessman with a softie supportive heart to a well communicated attentive family man was a sight to behold(read).
๑˙❥˙๑ She could be sitting in a pigsty, and she’d still transform it into a paradise.๑˙❥˙๑
Tho i found the ending a bit rushed. I’d have liked to read more 50 pages of how they fell apart instead of those summarised paragraphs, it kinda made me disconnected with their situation and experiences. A detailed narration instead of just informing the reader of those miscommunications would have been worked better with me. Nonetheless I loved this emotional journey of pretend engagement gone wrong with a must needed touch of hilarious banter.
๑˙❥˙๑ “You’d sacrifice everything you’ve worked for your entire life just for me.”
“Yes, gladly.” He cups my face. “ And there should be no ‘just’ when you refer to yourself. Because you’re everything.”๑˙❥˙๑

I can honestly say that I've never read a meet-cute quite like the one in this book.
While parts of the story might make your eyes roll, or cringe, it was a light-hearted, and fun read.
Rowena & Adrian are an unlikely couple, but man, they were so easy to root for!
I would recommend this book.

In this funny and charming tropey new romance novel, readers follow investment banker Adrian and software engineer Rowena on a regular day that turns dramatic at work and even more dramatic when they wind up engaged to a total stranger they just met -- though it’s totally a business arrangement, of course. Claiming to have a fiancée to impress the CEO, Adrian needs Rowena -- newly jobless and pregnant -- to help him get to the top of the company, and Rowena might just have found her chance to work on a project she cares deeply about. As the novel unfolds, readers discover what Rowena and Adrian think about each other and their arrangement and if they can hold to their rules long enough so no one gets hurt (or catches feelings). The characters are the absolute star of the novel and alternate narration, which really brings them to life and gives them the chance to develop as individuals and in their relationship. The tropes are well-chosen and really add to the atmosphere of the novel, bringing this funny and charming romantic plot to life. Romance readers will love Isley’s new release for its brilliant characters and funny tropes which make this escapist new romance novel shine.

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Publishing for advanced reader copy.
This was one of the book I knew from the very first pages that this was going to be a 5 ⭐️. I loved both characters so much. Rowena who is a software engineer who finds herself pregnant with her horrible’s ex baby. Adriana, who is a billionaire finance bro. Both characters were so lovable. Honestly this book should be labeled as a fantasy because this billionaire finance bro who supposedly was cut throat turned out to be the just the sweetest. The build-up was soo good the chemistry was sizzling off the pages.

She puked, he puked... and then they got fake married.....
Listen, I love a good rom-com, and I ''really'' love a good marriage-of-convenience trope, but this one? It had me side-eyeing hard.
Rowena, a software engineer, is having the worst day of her life - pregnant with her garbage ex’s baby, fired from her job, and basically about to be homeless. Enter Adrian, a rich, broody banker who ''needs'' a wife to impress his boss (because apparently, being a family man is a job requirement now?). So, naturally, they meet while throwing up in a bathroom, and he offers her a marriage deal right then and there. Romance is alive, folks!
I won’t lie - this had potential. The setup? Fun. The tropes? Chef’s kiss. But the execution? Meh. The chemistry between Rowena and Adrian was flatter than week-old soda. Rowena felt more desperate than endearing, Adrian had the personality of a tax return, and their reasons for liking each other were... questionable at best. The pacing was weird—dragged-out beginning, rushed ending; and the third-act breakup? Let’s just say postpartum depression as a plot device in a ''romantic comedy'' was a choice.
That said, the writing itself was solid, and I can see why some readers would love it. If you’re into billionaire romances with some classic rom-com chaos, you might have a better time than I did. But if you need your characters to actually 'make sense together'? Maybe skip this one.

Camilla Isley's fans will enjoy this one, which is another example of the clever way she weaves popular romance tropes together. I'd have enjoyed a but more character depth, as I found Rowena and Adrian rather forgettable, but, all in all, readers will enjoy this.

I've fallen in love with Camilla Isley's earlier writings but her latest reads aren't bringing the quality, creativity or romance her earlier works have brought.
In fact, I started this and the writing put me in such a depression that I had to put it aside. I couldn't fathom how a convincing love story could be crafted out of this. Eventually the author painted their love story, with our male hero being perfection, and it got better.
Nevertheless, the tone of the opening was such a downer, it was hard for me to muster the excitement to finish the book.

Adrian is a high flying CIO with no personal life who has managed to tell his boss that he would bring his fiancé to a weekend away at his house. The only problem: he doesn’t have a fiancé.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
However when his path crosses with Rowena, he realises an arrangement between them could be mutually beneficial. I mean, how could a fake engagement ever go wrong?
So, although this one was totally crazy and predictable, I still loved it. There’s just something that has you rooting for the two of them to get together for real the whole way through the book. The only thing I didn’t like was how Rowena jumps to conclusions so quickly without actually talking to Adrian.
Other than that, this was a great romance read and I would definitely recommend!
Thank you Camilla Isley, Netgalley and Boldwood Books for this advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review. If the Ring Fits is out now and I would definitely recommend it to any romance fans.

Camilla Isley has turned into my new auto buy author. Camilla mixed all my favorite tropes into one! Cannot wait to continue this series- if there is more!

If the Ring Fits was a cute and easy read with its enjoyable moments. Perhaps I wish that they would have made the FMC, a woman in STEM, more of a bad ass. But I struggled with some aspects of her personality and with some of her choices. If you enjoy meet cutes with a billionaire, fake engagements and marriages of convenience, then this one is probably right up your alley.

I ENJOYED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!
I had a great time reading this story. Both characters are just adorable. They seemed so real to me! The beginning was a great one. I was hooked right then and there. And the toilet scene it’s absurd but so much fun! I really enjoyed the dynamics between them and how they work as a team.
I missed having sexy times on the page because the chemistry was amazing (thanks for that bonus scene) and the ending felt a bit messy and rushed, but I read this book in one day so totally addictive!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I had previously read "It Started with a Book" by this same author, and loved it, so immediately jumped at the chance of reading this one.
If marriage of convenience is one of your favourite tropes, then this book is for you! We follow Adrian - CIO on the verge of an important promotion - and Rowena - software engineer who was fired and found out she was pregnant - as they navigate their marriage. I loved the part about Rowena's career and how she finds her true passion. And I loved their romance and how they learned to rely on each other.
There was a bit too much miscommunication at times (forcing the third act breakup), which I was not fond of.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with this ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was quite the meet-cute—if you can call it that! Bonding over being ill in adjacent bathroom stalls, Adrian and the heroine strike up an unusual conversation. Adrian, a high-stakes stock trader, is feeling nauseous over a lie he told his boss to secure a promotion—claiming he has a pregnant fiancée when, in reality, his personal life is nonexistent. Meanwhile, she has just discovered she’s pregnant with her emotionally abusive ex’s child and, to make matters worse, has lost her job.
Through their conversation, Adrian proposes a mutually beneficial arrangement: she pretends to be his fiancée for work events, and in return, she gets to live rent-free as she prepares for her baby’s arrival. Despite their ten-year age gap, she holds her own in his fast-paced world, her programming skills giving her a unique edge in a room full of stock traders. As they spend more time together, their attraction grows, and she’s ready to turn their fake relationship into something real. However, Adrian hesitates, believing his workaholic nature will prevent him from giving her the love and stability she deserves. As the reality of losing her sets in, he realizes he’s willing to do whatever it takes to make their unconventional marriage work.
The marriage-of-convenience trope is always entertaining, and this one was executed well. The chemistry between the characters felt natural, and their emotional struggles added depth to their relationship. Overall, an engaging and heartfelt read!

I really enjoyed reading Adrian and Rowena's story. For me, their "Meet-Puke" moment was the highlight of the book—it was both unexpected and memorable. I also loved the slow burn romance and the gradual build-up of their relationship, which made every moment feel even more rewarding. The fairy tale elements woven into the story added a charming touch that I truly appreciated.
Although I’m not usually a fan of miscommunication tropes or third-act breakups, I have to admit that everything came together beautifully in the end, making it all feel worthwhile.
I was happy to see K-2P the droid, especially since he’s one of my favorite characters, along with Reese and Thomas from The Love Algorithm. While their appearances were brief, it was nice to see them included in the story.
I’m excited to explore more books by the author and see what other stories await!
