This was such an intense read, I enjoyed exploring the family secrets and seeing Maya face the family mystery.

I was drawn by the premise and promised Succession/Saltburn vibes. Sadly, for me this did not live up to expectations and getting through this book was a bit of a drag. I did not enjoy the writing style, which was 3rd person present tense and I felt quite removed from the narration, therefore making it hard to connect with the characters. I eventally began skim reading the flashback chapters since they didn't seem to tell us anything we didn't already know, and quite often anything covered in them would then be covered again in Maya's chapters. I didn't like any of the characters as they seemed to have no redeeming qualities, and the twists were a little far fetched.
Not for me unfortunately.

As a huge fan of mystery shows containing rich and secretive families, I could not be more excited when I received this ARC! The main character definitely has her hands full with this over the top family and their shenanigans!
