How many lies can one person tell ? They just keep on coming. A good story with an ending I didnt expect
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC in return for an honest review

Lisa Hall never disappoints. The blurb was enough to make me interested and Lisa did a fabulous job unwinding the story. It was insane from the first chapter with cliffhangers throughout the whole book which made it very hard to put down.

Eight Years Of Lies by Lisa Hall was an excellent Psychological Thriller and a shocker! This book was so addictive, especially as it was full of lies and it will shock you, that someone could do this to someone else! and someone so close! .
So, How would you feel, when you find out that the man you married, eight years ago isn’t who I thought he was at all. Your husband has been lying to you . . . about everything. WoW. . . . . . and she thought she knew everything about her husband!
I would be in bits!
Claire has been married to Tom and they have have been married for eight years and have a seven year old daughter, called Isla. Claire always thought they had a happy marriage and nothing was wrong, until one day Claire get a call from the school, to be informed that her husband hasn’t picked up their daughter.
Claire then finds out Tom has disappeared and she has no clue where he's gone and why.
On the very same day, she sees a sponsored advert on Facebook from a Lydia French asking if anyone has seen her husband and daughter, but the photo is of Tom and Isla,
WoW! Who is this woman and why is she looking for them?
Claire turns to Adam, who is her ex and is a police officer, Claire begins to dig into Tom's past to try and find out what has happened to him and where he could have gone but she discovers a lot more than she bargained for!
Who was she married too?
WoW this book was a rollercoaster ride and I loved it
I highly recommend this book Great holiday read. But do you know everything about your Husband? I wonder!
Big Thank you to NetGalley and Joffe Books for my ARC.

A marriage based on lies.
Claire’s day starts with her feeling contented. She and Tom had been experiencing a tough time; however, he seemed to have cheered up the previous night and she feels as though things are once again running smoothly. That is until their daughter, Isla’s school calls because Tom failed to collect her. Claire tries calling him – with no response. She contacts the police, who suggest she wait for at least forty-eight hours before reporting him missing.
In that period, Claire finds his telephone hidden under their bed. She decides that she can’t wait any longer and once again contacts the police. She is shocked to find that Adam, her ex-boyfriend, interviews her about his disappearance and decides to help personally. After searching through his things, she decides to travel to Cornwall where he was born to see if she can trace any family or friends.
The plot was intricate, and the storyline developed by Lisa Hall is noteworthy. It made me wonder for days about how much we truly know about the person with whom we share our marriage vows.

Elite Reviewing Group received a copy of the book from NetGalley to review.

This is the second book I have read by Lisa Hall, having been previously been introduced to her writing by a Book Club Choice. I was apprehensive about doing so as I found the previous novel repetitive, unfortunately so was this one at times, but it did not spoil my enjoyment.
Claire has been happily married or so she thought to Tom for eight years. Then suddenly he just disappears without trace leaving her alone with their daughter wondering why. Her search for him is told by her but interspersed with chapters from an unknown person, which certainly adds to the intrigue. Claire soon discovers she does not know her husband at all, as shocking discoveries unfold throughout the novel.
A very quick read for me, a contemporary psychological thriller full of lies and surprising twists. Far fetched maybe at times but then I read for escapism so went with the flow.
With thanks to NetGalley, Joffe Books and the author for the opportunity to read and review.

Thank you to NetGalley, Lisa Hall, and Joffe Books for the opportunity to read this ebook. This was a gripping thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat. Packed with unexpected twists, it kept me guessing until the very end—I never saw that ending coming!

Loved the opening chapters but it soon ended up quite dull and not a thriller at all. I skim read to the end as thet3 was nothing grabbing my attention.

Thanks to #NetGalley and #JoffeBooks for the book #EightYearsOfLies by #LisaHall. Do you really know your husband? This book is full of lies, deceit and a twist ending I didn’t see coming. Claire’s husband, Tom, has disappeared and cannot be found. Claire is desperate to locate him after finding his phone. It took her to places of his past and what she finds out is numbing.

Eight Years of Lies by Lisa Hall.
This was a really good twisty read. I do love this author. This is the 6th book ive read from her. I couldn't put it down. I read this in two sittings. I had to find out what happened. I wasn't sure how I felt about the characters. I did like the cover. I liked the writing style and the story.
Blurb.
I get a call from the school. My husband hasn’t picked up our 7-year-old daughter.
This is the day my life changes for ever.
Earlier, I was scrolling through Facebook when something caught my eye. A photograph. The caption PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP ME? HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN?
It's my husband and our daughter.
The man I married eight years ago isn’t who I thought he was at all. My husband has been lying to me . . . about everything.

I could not wait to read this i was very intrigued how it was going to work and wow it was done brilliantly it was such a unique story with such wel developed characters. It was a fast paced thriller which had me on edge throughout I did not see many of the twists and turns coming which I love in a book. I found it difficult to put my kindle down I wanted to know how it was going to end and wow what a shock ending I loved it and everything about this book. It was my first book by this author that I had read and it definitely won’t be my last. I will definitely be recommending this amazing book to everyone thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this.

Wow. This compelling book had me reading long into the night. The tension was high and no sooner had I recovered from one twist than another knocked me sideways. I had no idea who I could trust so it was no surprise that Claire felt she had no one to turn to. Although, having said that, I felt that her actions were reckless in the extreme . She repeatedly chose finding her husband and the danger involved.over looking after her confused, frightened daughter and I found this extremely frustrating. This is why I knocked off a star, because I think that part of the story was a bit far-fetched. I loved the tantalising glimpses into the mind of the prisoner and the fact that we had no idea whether it was happening past, present or future. The identity of this person shocked me to the core. This is a standalone read and one which had me searching for the author to find out what else she had written.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book.

Eight Years of Lies is the new fast paced thriller by this author which I devoured in a couple of days. It's a gripping read, told from the perspective of Claire and regular snippets from an unknown person, which kept me on the edge of my seat throughout, with Claire experiencing numerous pitfalls in her journey to try and find Tom, determined he would come home if he could, which makes the truths she discovers all the harder to deal with. This is a tense and intriguing read, with some very unreliable characters, great twists along the way and what an unexpected ending!
I’d like to thank Joffe Books and NetGalley for the approval, I will post my review on Amazon and Goodreads

Imagine you are scrolling through social media and you come across a targeted post with a picture, the caption asking for help finding a missing man. Seems interesting enough, intriguing maybe... But now imagine that the picture was of your husband and your daughter. The poster someone unknown to you. What the heck would you do... Call him, I guess. But there's no answer...
And then, later, the school calls cos your husband has failed to collect your daughter. It appears he has vanished... This is what is happening to Claire and Tom... Together for 8 years, Tom has always been a bit camera shy and shunned social media. But Claire just thought he was being private so when she entered that photo into a competition, she didn't realise what she was starting. Cos it appears that Tom has secrets... and they are big ones...
Obviously the police won't help as there is no sign of foul play and he is a consenting adult. Claire is therefore forced to investigate herself, to get the answers she needs. Luckily, help comes from an unlikely source...
I a a big fan of this author having read and loved pretty much all her books. I especially love her Hotel Hollywood series which you should really check out too if you haven't already!
This book was no exception to that. I really felt for Claire, all the confusion and betrayal she was feeling around husband Tom. I was also impressed with her detecting skills as she followed all the clues to try and find out the truth. Yes she made a few weird decisions but there is no handbook to how someone should act in the same situation! And yes, ok, some was a wee bit predictable, but I read so many books of this genre a year that it's rare for me not to second guess... That said, the majority of the twists and turns, the secrets and lies, were all delivered with expertise and came at exactly the right moments for maximum impact. And the ending, when we eventually got there, was both credible and satisfying. All in all, a cracking addition to an already well impressive back catalogue. Roll on next time. My thanks go to the Publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book.

Eight Years of Lies by Lisa Hall is a compelling domestic thriller that explores family and the secrets we keep.
Claire is (somewhat) happily married to Tom and they have a young daughter named Isla. Claire becomes concerned one day when Tom fails to pick up their daughter from school. She becomes even more alarmed and confused when a picture of Tom and Isla appears online. But she was not the one to post it. Another woman has posted the photo claiming that they are her family not Claire's. As time passes and Tom still does not come home, Claire sets out on a mission to find him. But as she searches, more and more secrets about Tom come to light making Claire wonder if the last eight years of their life were all a lie.
This novel is a great domestic / psychological thriller that drew me right in. Filled with twists, lies, and secrets, I was fully engaged. The characters felt pretty well thought out and the pace, well a bit on the slow side, was still engaging enough to keep me reading.
Thank you to NetGalley, Lisa Hall, and Joffe Books for this ARC. Expected publication date is February 19th 2025.

After waving her husband Tom and young daughter Isla off to school and work, Claire is relaxing with a coffee when she stumbles across a post on Facebook. The post claims another woman is looking for her missing husband and daughter, only problem is the photo is of Tom and Isla, a photo Claire knows that she took on a cruise last year. Desperate for answers Claire tries to get hold of Tom to no avail and when he doesn’t return home from work Claire begins to panic. She begins her own investigation and finds she didn’t really know her husband at all and the last eight years were built on lies.
This was a steady read that keeps you reading as you want to find out why and what Tom is hiding, definitely worth a read if you like domestic thrillers. I did however find it somewhat repetitive and could have done with being about 100 pages less than it is.
Many thanks to NetGalley, publisher and author for my eARC in exchange for my honest review.

I was hooked by the premise and hoped the title wasn’t going to have given everything away.
Unfortunately this book doesn’t live up to the premise, it’s quite slow, not written with enough atmosphere and struggles to keep you gripped to the ending.
I felt bored in places which is not what I’m used to with a thriller.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are mine.
What would one do when they find a have you seen this man poster of their husband? I would probably lose it. It was a roller coast read and quite interesting and nothing was what it seemed.

Lisa Hall delivers another gripping psychological thriller in Eight Years of Lies, a novel packed with tension, deception, and shocking revelations. From the very start, the reader is thrown into a whirlwind of mystery as a husband vanishes without a trace, leaving behind a web of unanswered questions. While the authorities dismiss his disappearance, branding him as just another adult making his own choices, his wife embarks on a relentless quest for the truth—one that takes a dark turn as her ex steps in to help.
As the story unfolds, layers of Tom’s past begin to unravel, exposing long-buried secrets and lies that redefine everything his wife thought she knew. The alternating perspectives, particularly the insight into Tom’s mind, are masterfully executed, adding depth to the suspense. Hall’s storytelling is immersive, keeping readers engaged and constantly second-guessing what’s real and what’s a cleverly disguised lie.
Published by Joffe Books, Eight Years of Lies is an expertly crafted thriller that keeps the tension high until the very last page. With its well-paced twists and a storyline that keeps you on edge, it’s a must-read for fans of domestic thrillers and psychological suspense.

I really enjoyed this fast paced story, it was full of surprises. I liked the multiple points of view as it kept me engaged. I would recommend this to thriller fans.
Many thanks for my gifted copy. My review will be shared to my Instagram account shortly.

This was such an intense and fast paced read, it kept me hooked and had me just needing to find out the truth.
