Okay, hear me out—I might sound harsh, but by the end of this book, I really couldn’t stand Reese. Like, girl, they WARNED you! Yet you still chose to stick around. This is one of those times when "we listen, don’t judge" just doesn’t apply.
The story centers on Reese, a hardworking bakery owner with dreams as sweet as her pastries. When Tucker, the charming and almost too-perfect man, walks into her life, it’s like a fairytale come true. But if there’s one thing thrillers have taught us, it’s that when something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
The pacing is strong, with every chapter ending on a note that makes it impossible to put the book down. The supporting characters add to the tension, each with their own motives that make you question their loyalty to Reese. Cupps excels at creating a claustrophobic sense of paranoia—by the end, you’re suspicious of everyone.
While the plot delivers on suspense, Sweet Little Lies is also a character study. Reese’s decisions, though maddening at times, feel grounded in her vulnerabilities and desires. Tucker’s polished charm hides layers of complexity, and even the shadow of Charlotte is written so vividly that she feels like a character in the room.
Every single character in this book was messed up in their own way, which made for an entertaining (if slightly frustrating) read. Honestly, the cover first caught my eye, but it was the suspense-filled plot that kept me hooked.
Now, let’s talk about the ending—without giving anything away, it’s the kind of conclusion that will leave you conflicted. Did Reese get what she deserved? Did Tucker? You’ll close the book with more questions than answers, which makes it a great pick for book club discussions or late-night debates.
The writing is sharp, the twists are satisfying, and the characters—no matter how flawed—are unforgettable. My only gripe is Reese’s persistence in ignoring every single warning sign, but hey, that’s part of what makes the story so frustratingly addictive.
Big thanks to Inkubator Books and NetGalley for the ARC. This is my honest review, and I’ll just say this: mark your calendar for January 12, 2025 and prepare to scream at Reese through the pages!
The cover of this book drew me in, but the plot made me keep reading. I kept thinking I knew exactly where this was going, but then another twist would come along. What's good for my reading time is bad for my sleep. I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this book.
Thank you to Inkubator Books and NetGalley for a digital ARC of this title in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

The book was filled with character development and plot development that I love. The book had elements of suspense that kept the story flowing and I enjoyed it from beginning to end.
4.5/5
okayyy, I was actually pleasantly surprised by the twists and ending. You sort of have ideas from the beginning of what's happened or going to happen, but then towards the end it takes a thrilling turn and it's really enjoyable.
The epilogue 😱!!
So quick, easy and fun to read. Enjoyable characters, writing and plot.

The first cut is the deepest. When the charming and wealthy Tucker walks into Reese’s bakery shop, it’s not long before their whirlwind romance leads to an engagement. It seems all her dreams are about to come true. Until the chilling threats begin!!

I definitely recommend reading this book! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
Sweet Little Lies was a perfect read for my first NetGalley review! This book was a quick, fast-paced thriller with twists that continue through the epilogue. Cupps keeps you guessing about each character's true intentions. and spins a web of intricate lies that threaten to unravel at any moment.
Reese, a bakery owner, meets her future husband Tucker while is he is cake tasting with his fiancé Charlotte. When Charlotte leaves Tucker at the alter, he falls into a quick romance with Reese. Now, as Reese and Tucker's wedding approaches, Reese begins receiving anonymous threats telling her she needs to call off her wedding to Tucker. As the threats become more frequent and serious, Reese questions everyone around her, wondering who truly is trying to stop her wedding....and why. Told between alternating narratives, Sweet Little Lies is a contemporary and domestic thriller that challenges familial relationships and exposes the tragic implications of a little white lie.
