Fast paced enjoyable read loved the references but the fmc did come across slightly pick me after a while.

The Fake Script by Marion de Re is a delightful second-chance romance filled with tension, humor, and heartfelt moments. When the heroine, still reeling from Auston Buckley’s abandonment years ago, finds herself consulting on a film he’s starring in, old feelings and unresolved issues come rushing back. What starts as a fake dating arrangement to defy public opinion soon turns into something much deeper. With witty banter, relatable characters, and a bookish twist, de Re captures the complexity of love, forgiveness, and healing. This charming, emotional read will keep you hooked until the very end. Perfect for fans of slow-burn romance and second chances!

This book and the whole series is brilliant! I loved it so much. Emma is the third of the bookshop owners to find her story!
I loved loved loved the story from start to finish. The shop name and the characters love of books! It is just such an amazing series.
I hate to see the series end, but it ended so well!!! I can't wait to see what Marion De Re' writes next! It will definately be on my To Be Read stack!!!
And by the way5 stars is just not enough!

Thank you to Netgalley & Marion De Ré for the e-ARC.
It was funny and sweet. Being a bookish girl myself, I appreciate all of the references to bookstagram, and the idea of living above a bookshop that is co-own with closest friends. Emma's mindset and all the references to her bookish lifestyle are amazing. The fake script was a lot of fun to read.

This was a strong concept in the romantic comedy novel, it had that element that I wanted and was hooked from the first page. The characters were everything that I was looking for and enjoyed how realistic it was. Marion De Ré wrote this perfectly and left me wanting to read more.

A fun second chance romance. Auston left Emma on the worst day of her life, and now he is determined to get her to forgive him. I liked the setting and that it was told from both points of view.

3.5 ⭐️
there's nothing i love more than books that talk about books and this one did not disappoint 💖
i loved how the characters kept referring the story to a book (which actually is) with its tropes and stuff... it's a perfect read for a cloudy cozy day!
thanks netgalley and the publisher for the arc i in exchange of my honest opinion!

Definitely a binge read well worth it! It was sweet and very funny. As a bookish girl myself I appreciate all the bookstagram references and the idea of living above a bookstore that I run with my best friends is going on my vision board. If you love bookstagram, you will love this book. The second chance trope def pulled on my heart strings and the past that haunts Emma made me shed a few tears. I am adding Auston to my top 10 list of book boyfriends! It’s a light-hearted, witty, comfort read.

ARC of this book provided by NetGalley for review purposes
(full disclaimer: I have NOT read the two former books in the series)
A romcom book with celebrity romance that features reverse grumpy x sunshine and second chance romance. This is the third and final book in the One More Chapter series. Emma rekindles with her high school crush, Auston, who left to follow his dreams ten years ago and broke her heart.
This book started well, but certain elements made me not enjoy it after a bit. The one main element was the FMC, Emma. Emma was cool at first. She's a book girlie that's been hurt in the past so she built a barrier to protect herself. I felt for her as I could understand her isolation as something familiar. However, as the story continues, Emma constantly refers to herself as "not like other girls." After a while, it got annoying and came off as attention-seeking (everyone knows about the whole pick-me-girl disagreement.) On top of this, while it had a cutesy and wholesome ending, the book was bland. Nothing major happens, nothing intriguing, nothing to grab my attention throughout the book.
Perhaps if I had been invested in the series and read the two previous books I might've been more into it. However, the book follows the last roommate, Emma, and her road to love. It's a connected book, but by all means, you should be able to read it as a standalone. Unfortunately, this book ultimately wasn't memorable to me.

You need to add this book to your list right now!
OMG Emma and Auston are such an incredible match. Two high school crushes who end up coming back together whilst on the set of a movie.
I love Emma’s personality and all of the references to her bookish lifestyle. Auston is the absolute sexiest man as he literally does everything Emma asks. They are the perfect black cat/golden retriever duo!
The fake script was such a fun and light read. I will
be recommending this to everyone I see
Thank you to Netgalley and Marion De Ré for the ARC of this book 🫶

Amazing second romance at his best.
This book was so good, fast paced and easy to read.
I loved the caracters so much.

I loved this book. Emma and Auston make the perfect couple and it was a long time in the making. I love that they both held each other close to their heart for the ten years in between seeing each other. Definitely recommend for those who like friends to lovers type tropes.

🎥 I love a black cat girly who’s all fuzzy on the inside even before the outer shell is broken
I love how both Emma and Auston both acted like they don’t know each other when they Auston first came on set. It was funny reading it in two different POVs. Marion did a good job making us think like they didn’t care about each other. Once you read the‘s POV you see that they’re both still smitten over each other
I know I keep saying that each book is my favorite, but the more I read newer books of hers the more I like them even more than the ones before
Honestly, if Emma were to have another love story with another guy I don’t think I would’ve liked the book. I really liked the fact that it was a second chance book, even though it’s not one of my favourite tropes, but I felt like it fit perfectly. She just needed that one person to bring her back, to ground her, to bring back all these memories, to remind her that she is worth loving, and to give her everything she ever wanted
It was such a great read because he just knew her like the back of his hand. She thought he doesn’t remember her, and she meant nothing to him in the past when in fact, she meant the whole world to him and he hasn’t gotten over her since
I’m really happy that history did not repeat itself even though the circumstances were different. He actually chose her first. He chose her before an opportunity that he had been waiting for, for so long. He just put her first and I actually respect that so much
He broke down her walls and she let him. I love that so much
There’s just something about Marion’s books that makes them all comfort reads. There’s something in her writing style that makes you want to keep reading and then before you know it, the book ended. I will honestly start a petition to have more chapters or make her books longer. I just can’t have enough of them

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Marion de Re’s The Fake Script is a delightful closed-door romance that will charm every booklover and hopeless romantic. I had the privilege of reading an ARC copy, and let me just say—it’s a must-read for anyone who likes a clever, bookish second chance romance.
The story follows the journey of a bookstore owner and bookstagrammer who knows all the romance tropes—and ironically tries to avoid becoming one herself. The book is a trope within a trope, making it clever, meta, and incredibly fun to read.
The writing is light, witty, and easy to read. It pulled me in immediately, and I couldn’t put it down until I’d reached the satisfying ending.
I absolutely loved how the author brought coffee culture and bookstores to life in the story. The protagonist’s deep knowledge of romance tropes adds a layer of humor and self-awareness, making her journey into her own romance all the more satisfying.
This book made me dream of having a book-themed birthday party with a coffee fountain-it’s just that inspiring for book lovers. Also can the Stardust Sensation be real?
Read if you like your closed door romance books:
-Second chance romance
-Reverse grumpy sunshine
-Fake dating
-Celebrity Romance
-He falls first and hard
Thank you Marion de Re for my ARC. This is my honest and voluntary review.

This was such a fun and engaging book!! The second chance romance was perfect and the fake dating was my absolute favorite! I loved watching the growth emma went through in this book and im so happy she finally found her happy ever after.

This was such an amazing read! I literally finished it within 24hours! Although the book starts sad with Emma's life changing so sudddenly this really was an enjoyable read🫶🏻 I really loved Emma and Auston! Auston was amazing doing everything he could for Emma🥰 I really loved how there relationship developed thoughout the story! And how they got through all the troubles thrown their way. I really enjoyed Emma's character and I loved how she has bookstagram! And is book obsessed😍. I will definitely be reading more of this author's work and if you love a good fake dating trope then give this book a read! Thank you to Marion and netgalley for this ARC.

Once again, the cute rom-com cover drew me. Even though the description says the book is funny, it’s not a rom-com. It opens with a tragedy. DNF.
Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC.

This book wasn’t my favorite read, but I enjoyed the plot. Emma and Auston relationship didn’t feel very real at times and they lacked tension and build up in the set up of their relationship. I did enjoy both characters outside of that.

"The Fake Script" was an absolute delight! I binged this within a 24-hour period, partly because the book is a little shorter than average, but also because I simply couldn't put it down. If you're a regular romance reader, and you appreciate it when tropes are skillfully acknowledged right in the text, you're going to love this as much as I did. I didn't realize this was the third in the series when I began reading, so there were a few side plots that I didn't quite follow, but I am most definitely going to go back and read the first two books now that I've finished this one. Author Marion De Ré's writing is fantastic, and I can't wait to dive into her other series as well.
Thanks so much to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This book was so good!! I couldn’t put it down. I’m not usually a romcom book girl but definitely makes me want to start!
