This book this is the third book in the One More Chapter series. The readers are taken on a journey on a second chance, fake dating romance with Emma when her high school crush, Auston turned movie star is filming a romcom at the bookstore she owns. Emma is forced to face her passed and is forced into close proximity to Auston when she openly critiques the adaptation of the romance book.
Can Emma find a way to let her guard down and find forgiveness for Auston after he left her on the hardest day of her life? Can she start to believe in love and allow herself to be vulnerable? Throughout the book, Emma tries to keep distance and her guard up. Auston finds himself trying to earn her trust and forgiveness while trying to keep her safe from his world. There are some twists in the book and honestly, it was refreshing to find the way the handle it. There is easy read that has banter, instant chemistry, and the growth that happens.
I didn't read the first two books in the series and will be going back to read them now! I am sure I read through spoilers but looking forward to seeing how these friendships are formed.

The romance book term ‘trope’ comes up a lot in this enjoyable second chance romance! Emma knows all the ‘tropes’ for romances. And, who wouldn’t when you share ownership in a bookstore.
Enter your almost high school boy friend who has become a famous movie star and does not even remember you! Emma’s life cannot get any worse, but yes it can! Said boyfriend is filming a movie in your bookstore. I loved it. Emma and Austin are adorable together. Both have grown and changed through the years, but in many ways they are still the same and have the same great connection. Emma remains true to her character of being all about books and not being able to ‘shelf’ herself – adorable.
Austin, too, is adorable as a real person and, apparently, quite a hunk as a movie star. I loved how he listened to Emma and what she had to say about his movie character. I loved that he accepted personal responsibility for possibly being part of the reason Emma has changed and grown a protective outer shell, how he is forthcoming for his part in mistaken situations, how he connects with his mother/manager and how he tries to be as upfront about going along with publicity in the past because it was easy.
Although a stand-alone, The Fake Script is the perfect ending to the One More Chapter series of the three women who met on line and decided to open a book store together.

A very cute second chance/celebrity romance. It's also a bit emotional as her life changed drastically in just a day and she's been heartbroken since. Auston is an absolute dream boy who does everything for Emma to win her back. As a book lover is so fun to read how she helps with getting the movie better and how everyone knows she's a book lover and absolutely love her for it.
It's definitely a book I would read again.
4,5 stars no doubt about it

The Fake Script by Marion de Re is a charming fake dating romance with a fun, engaging premise. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, and the plot offers plenty of heartwarming moments. While the storyline is predictable at times, it's a quick, enjoyable read that delivers on the feel-good romance front. Perfect for fans of lighthearted, trope-filled romance novels.

Oh my heart!!! Can I just tell you how much I loved and adored this book. And how much it brought on all of the emotions. Like a roller coaster of emotions. But it was so worth feeling them! I have been so excited to read Emma's story since we first started to get to know her back in book one. And let me tell you that I was not disappointed at all!!! It more than exceed my expectations and left me wishing that there were more books to come in this trilogy, but alas, this is the end. But what an ending! And what a series!!! I loved these three friends who took a leap and trusted each other and created a business together. And not just any business, but one that followed their hearts and dreams!
And Emma's story! Oh my heart!!! Let's just say that I shed some tears in that first chapter, and in other chapters as well! I just couldn't help myself. My heart ached for her and all that happened. But I loved watching her find healing and joy in her life again, in this book but also throughout the other two books.
Emma is a wonderful character! Auston as well! I loved their friendship to "not knowing" each other, to friends, to more! I was honestly just so, so happy!!! You're going to love this sweet HEA and the journey that is gone on to get there! *Happy Sigh*
I think this one is my favorite in the trilogy so far. Partially due to Emma and Auston's story, but also due to the fact that we still get to see these three friends and where they are at now. I wouldn't complain if Marion De Re ever decides to add more to this story! *Hint, Hint*
Content: Clean. Some sweet kisses but nothing further.
I received a copy from the author through Victory Editing NetGalley coop, via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions the book are my own.
Happy Reading!!!

What a lovely end to the series! I’ve yet to read the first one but so far I’ve loved them all!!
Auston and Emma finding each other after 10 years is soo sweet! This was a slow burn and I loved it. And the reverse grumpy sunshine was fun!
I received an advanced copy via NetGalley for my honest review

Auston is back in town filming an adaptation Emma's favorite book. She becomes a consultant on the movie... Their history collides...
I like Emma a lot. Auston is great and swoony. I love their banter and how their relationship works out in the end. The ending is terrific.
Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

This closed door romance is the third and final edition to the One More Chapter series. As sad as it is to see this series end, there was no better ending then Emma and Auston's story. This book perfectly combines reverse grumpy x sunshine and fake dating.
Emma's character develops so much from what we've seen of her in both The Tenacious Act and The Enemy Plot. I love that we finally learn about the cause of her aversion to love. Auston is probably one of the sweetest book boyfriends.
The Fake Script was such a fun and swoony quick read. Although the plot progresses quickly it never feels rushed. As always this was another great book from Marion De Ré and I can't wait for the next series.
