To Brooke image is everything perfect grades, perfect life getting a place at her dream university even after the incident she still has her life planned out perfectly. Brooke agrees to a party with her friends to celebrate which ends with her hanging out with her crush by the bonfire perfect end to the night so she thinks until the drive home turns into her worst nightmare.
This book was faced paced and tense I found some of the book predictable but still there was plenty there I didn't work out that kept me guessing. A perfect quick read YA thriller.
Thank you to Netgalley, Sourcebooks and Megan Lally for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

this was such a good thriller/mystery. I loved Megans first book and though this didn’t hit the same as that book this was still really good. The pacing was really well done and I felt as though the story was convoluted which I think can happen when there’s multiple characters throughout the story but this all flowed together perfectly.
I don’t want to go into the plot as I went on relatively blind and think that’s how you should go in with this one. But the twist in the plot were good i did guess a lot of it but it didn’t take away from the story. I would definitley recommend it for a fast paced thriller

No Place Left to Hide is an explosive YA thriller. Our main character is Brooke, ultimate Queen Bee, and the focus is on events surrounding the death of a former classmate.
From early on we are given a clear picture of how driven Brooke is. Determined to get into Yale she’s on every committee and part of every activity possible. Her mother is the school principal and her father is in the running for the role of a district judge. The whole family are high fliers, but we’re also privy to the harassment Brooke is receiving.
Much of our focus is on the party Brooke is persuaded to attend by her best friend Jena. A beach-side farewell to high school, where Brooke thinks she may finally get a chance with the boy she’s liked from afar. Similar to the party they all attended where Brooke’s ex-best friend Claire ended up dead. As this draws to a close Brooke feels positive about her future…until she’s tailed on the way home.
While the behaviour of the characters makes little sense, it’s the kind of crazy scenario that makes for dramatic reading. Naturally, Brooke hasn’t been entirely honest about events and someone wants her to pay.
Thanks to NetGalley for giving me the chance to read and review this before publication.

The secrets, lies and danger were very intense and exhilarating, it kept the pace moving and made it such an exciting read overall.

Thanks for the advance copy!
Unfortunately i've only rated it 3stars as I found it quite predictable & not very gripping.

No Where Left to Hide was my first Megan Lally book but it will not be my last! Books such as this are the reason I love young adult mystery/thrillers and I enjoyed it so, so much!
Image is everything to Brooke and her family. She's striving for the Ivy League, involved in multiple extra curricular activities and helps with various charity drives; anything and everything to move on from the events of last year. But Brooke has a secret. For weeks, she has been harassed by an Unkown Caller, someone taunting and threatening her. A celebratory party with all her friends quickly turns into a nightmare when Unknown Caller makes their threats a reality. Will Brooke survive the night and what are Unkon Callers motives?
I loved how this book played out! It was fast paced, full of suspense and there was such a mixed bag of characters! The plot unraveled in a way that had me hooked and I couldn't put it down. I had a feeling where I was being led but I was not prepared for how crazy this book was going to get; it was just so much fun! I don't want to give too much away so I'm going to leave it there. If I were you, I'd go in a little bit blind, I did and it was definitely a treat!
Thank you @NetGalley @Sourcefire Books & Megan Lally for this digital review copy!

I love YA thrillers that feature the downfall of a seemingly perfect character, so I was excited by the premise of this. However, I can’t say that I loved it sadly.
Brooke works hard to make sure her life seems perfect and recently, she’s been focused on getting into Yale University and keeping a low profile since ‘the incident’. So when she’s accepted into Yale, of course she wants to celebrate with her friends. But when a truck starts following her car on the way home from the party, Brooke knows that someone thinks they know what really happened on the night of 'the incident’. Is the truth going to come out and will Brooke survive long enough to see it?
Dylan is Brooke’s crush and I definitely had a crush on him too. He seems super cute, kind and interesting, so I got where her obsession with him came from. I did suspect that he might have something to do with what was going on, which worried me a little. However, Brooke wasn’t particularly likeable, so I was somewhat behind the mission to reveal the truth whether it implicated her or not.
I was a bit confused that Brooke had somehow got into Yale without picking a major. I’m not fully aware of how college applications work in the US but it seems really odd to me that a student would apply to a university without applying for a specific course. She doesn’t even seem to have a clue as to what kind of career she wants, which just doesn’t compute for me.
The teen girl drama was depicted very authentically. It was far more complex than it probably needed to be. Everyone had previously been friends and had a long history together. Emotions were all very intense and grudges were clearly not budging an inch. It was all very real and almost every female reader will recognise something similar from their own high school years.
No Place Left To Hide unfortunately lost its way a bit towards the end. I really loved the frenemy thing and I was very on board with the love interest. However, I didn’t love Brooke as a heroine and the chase scenes in the final third of the book went on too long, so I lost interest. I’d be interested in trying another Megan Lally book though, so please let me know if you have any recommendations.

There is something I quite enjoy about a villain being a villain for the sake of it. They have no redemption arc and are only in it for themselves. Never in a million years did I expect this book to play out and end like it did. I was genuinely shocked with how this one came to be, and I loved it!

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC.
Well this book took me on a ride (pun intended)! I thought I knew what I was getting into from the description of the book, but it surprised me in the best ways. I liked the double timeline and plot twists, but my favourite part was Brooke, the main character. I felt sorry for her terror, but at the same time appaled by het attitude and terror. Perfect when you want a fast paced thriller!
4.5 stars

This is hands down the best thriller I have read in SO LONG. the dual timeline of before and now and watching the tension build was amazing. I started reading this on the treadmill to up my steps…I finished the book on the treadmill… I am both physically knackered and mentally BUZZED! 🤣 I just couldn’t stop!

This took me on a ride!
The dual timeline had me on the edge of my seat. The suspense was so real in this story. One thing I like in a thriller is when they get to the point and this one did just that. It was super fast paced!
I went into this without thinking too deeply about the plot holes, like please take me on this ridiculous journey. The last 20% of the book was so unhinged! I just love a psychotic character.

Brooke is determined to put the past behind her and focus on getting into Yale, snagging the boy of her dreams, and not letting down her family. After the death of one of her classmates at a lake house party she threw last year, she's been haunted by an unknown caller who claims she was responsible for what happened. Now, as she finishes out her senior year, her stalker is taking it to the next level, and as Brooke is tailed by a van on a remote country road, she starts to wonder if they actually want to see her dead. Megan Lally's second novel, No Place Left To Hide, is a superior YA thriller with a fun atmosphere and good plotting. One solid twist occurs long enough before the end of the book that Lally has time to deal with the fallout (I struggle with thrillers that throw in too many twists for the sake of it, and especially those that want to deliver a 'shocking' ending that ends up being silly). I finished it, however, feeling a bit frustrated, because I was still rooting for characters I was obviously not supposed to like. Nobody really comes off well in this book, but some characters get punished far more than others. I guess another way of putting this is that I didn't find the twist completely believable. I wonder if Lally should have turned it up a notch and made everybody really hateable, avoiding that hint of moral judgment. Nevertheless, I think this will appeal to both YA and thriller fans.
