This is a cute series that explores common myths, and ideas about things. In this case, this volume is about remarkable women. This includes legends, geniuses, creatives, superstars, leaders and trailblazers. So we read about goddesses, as well as historical women, such as Hua Mulan, Pocahontas and Joan of Arc. and into the present day, with Taylor Swift and Amanda Gorman.

The pictures a fun. The little bios are quick and easy to read, and give you information you may or may not know. And because the theme of these books, is distilling misinformation, they often mention the misconception and follow it up with the truth.

I love how these books teach these facts gently, and give us a wide range of women, not all of whom are from the US.

Remarkable Women by Eric Huang is a wonderful book that explores how women have helped shape the remarkable world we live in. From leaders and activists, to athletes and artists, and even ancient goddesses, the book shows younger readers, in an informative and creative way, a diverse range of successful women and their impact in history and present time. I especially love the parts that clear up the common misconceptions about each woman (the “Oh no, they didn’t!” Parts”, and I adore all of the colorful illustrations made by Sam Caldwell throughout the book.

I can absolutely see young readers loving this book that makes learning about so many inspiring women interesting, and most importantly, fun!

A delightful and informative look at remarkable women throughout history — from those you've heard of like Amelia Earhart to more recent newcomers like Taylor Swift. Even though many of these women are ones who have graced our history class curricula for decades, the author does a wonderful job of including a wider array of women with diverse backgrounds and life stories. I love how the author addresses the preconceived notions about each woman, hence the "Oh no they didn't!" throughout. The illustrations are so bright and engaging, as well!

I especially love the back pages -- a visual timeline, a world map, and a helpful glossary all help to contextualize the women and their lifetimes.

Remarkable Women!, written by Eric Huang and illustrated by Sam Caldwell, is a nonfictional book written about different women in history who have made a difference.

I think that this is a great book for elementary aged students. I enjoyed that they featured women from different areas and times, and that they told the real stories behind a couple of different Disney princesses as well. I feel that this book was inclusive of individuals from different ages and backgrounds, which will help appeal to a variety of children reading this book. I also really appreciated the map and timeline in the back of the book, as well as the glossary so readers can remember what they learned about.
I definitely recommend this book! Thank you to NetGalley, and to the author, publisher, and illustrator of this book for an ARC in exchange for an unbiased review.

This is truly an amazing book to educate and inspire children, highlighting the achievements and lives of over 50 remarkable women! I adore how wide-ranging the chosen ladies are, spanning from goddesses and politicians to writers and pop stars, each chosen for excelling in their fields, often reckoning against adversity or prejudice. Any child reading this will find at least one role model aligned with their interests (even maths!) and learn tons of other facts along the way.

I am already planning to buy this to gift to my god-daughter. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

Phenomenal Women

This book covers a range of fantastic epic women from historical to more modern day artists. The facts about these women not only pulled me in but also made me keep page turning to see who was behind the next page. This would make a great gift, library book or addition to a classroom for strong female representation.

The illustrations grab your attention and do justice to the women referenced.
