I did not finish this book. I found it rather tedious and dis-jointed. Although the initial premise was interesting it focused too much on the introspective washed-out journalist and his quest to find the background and family history of the heroine (Gaby / Angel). Perhaps I'd have enjoyed it more if I was familiar with Australian politics, history, geography, slang and culture, and the references had meant something. Hopefully Australians will enjoy it.
