On the eve of her stem cell transplant, Elliott meets a man and they have a magical night together. A year later, Elliott is in remission and goes to meet her donor, Carly. She also meets Carly's boyfriend, Jamie... The man from a year ago that she's never stopped thinking about.

This was a sweet, emotional read. I listened to the audio version on a plane and almost teared up a few times, so beware. I loved the first night magic between Elliot and Jamie, and that we got both perspectives on their feelings during their time apart. I appreciated the maturity of all the characters despite the complexity of their situations. Elliott's strength and resilience were inspirational. I really loved Carly's character as well and would have loved to hear more from her. I'd recommend this one!

3.5 rounded up💫 a book that started off *strong* (like with the best first kiss ever) but then lost its steam…🤷🏻‍♀️

✨second chance
✨the one that got away
✨emotional romance
✨love triangle (ish)
✨dual POV (but one audiobook narrator)

While I was immediately hooked it ultimately went *exactly* like I thought it would and I wanted it to dig a little deeper into the emotion of it all! It still had some stand out moments and a precious doggo🥹 but I just wanted to feel more!

2.5 Stars – A Promising Start That Lost Steam
If Tomorrow Never Comes by Allison Ashley kicks off with a heartfelt premise and two lovable characters that are easy to root for. The first half had all the makings of a memorable romance, but the pacing began to lag, and the storyline became a bit too predictable. While it didn’t fully deliver for me, fans of sweet, meet-cute romances may still find it an enjoyable read.

This book had me in all my feelings…. Elliot and Jamie’s story was so sweet and adorable.
The communication between the couple was excellent.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I would definitely be reading more in the future.
Thank you to NetGalley and Brilliance audio for sending me an advance audio copy of this book for my honest review.

If Tomorrow Never Comes is a romance at its core, but also so much more. It was emotional - the FMC, Elliot, has leukimea.
Elliot and Jamie were so sweet together. I loved their first meet, and then their unexpected reunion and the beginning of their friendship/relationship a year later. I also really enjoyed the friend group, especially Jamie's sister Blythe.

I know when I want a good romance that typically has a setting in the healthcare world, I can count on Allison Ashley to deliver an accurate and compelling story. While this book isn’t entirely in the healthcare world, the FMC is show both pre- and post- cancer treatment and it makes up a huge part of her life. I loved the start of this book and the dessert-centered meet-cute. This book certainly makes you want to believe that love at first sight is true! However, plot twist when the couple only gets one night/date before they say goodbye. Flash forward a year later and cue the plot twist! This book was so engaging and I loved the depth that was built throughout the novel. I could’ve enjoyed a slightly different last 1/8 of the novel, but I was still happy with the ending. The narrator was great and I was listening to this whenever I had time! Another amazing Allison Ashley read! 4.25⭐️, 1.75🌶

I loved Allison Ashley’s last book and I’ve been chomping at the bit for this audio. It was just as good as I’d hoped it would be!

Expect 👉🏼 Second Chance, Cancer, Soulmates, Slow Burn

One night. Elliot only had one night to let loose before her treatment. She never expected to meet someone unforgettable. A year later, she is finally ready to start her life and maybe, possibly find THE GUY who she has never stopping thinking about. She also gets to meet the donor of the stem cells that changed her life. In a twist of fate, her donor is dating Jamie, THE GUY that has never left Elliot’s thoughts.

I really really love Allison Ashley’s stories. I enjoyed Elliot’s journey of acceptance and healing. The insight into the constant anxiety and fear of being in remission was eye opening. That paired with the sweet and spicy slow burn romance that unfolded between her and Jamie made for a wonderful read. They both made mistakes but they were so good together!

Narrated beautifully by Ann Marie. I turned this one on and didn’t turn it off until I finished 😍

Thank you Brilliance Publishing for the gifted alc.

First off, this was a great audio! The narrator did a great job at making each pov (Jamie's and Elliott's) distinct.

This was such a sweet story and I really enjoyed the hopeful romance this was and how the characters seemed really realistic. The story follows Elliott who spends one impromptu date with Jamie, who she quickly falls for. Elliott, in a cinderella moment disappears after the date, leaving Jamie wondering who this mystery girl is........

Turns out Ellitott has leukemia and is getting a stem cell transplant that next day and uncertain of her future doesn't give into hope ever seeing Jamie again. A year later, Elliott is leukemia free and decides to meet the woman who donated her stem cells, saving Elliott's life. Turns out the woman who saved her is dating, yep, you guessed it, JAMIE. Can the two live in close proximity and remain as friends or are the memories from that one night a year ago going to bring them together? I loved how this story was a smidge instant love but in a very tasteful realistic way. I liked that the timeline in this one and that they made healthy friendships along the way.

Cue One Day in December and The Last Love Note mixed with the writing style of Sarah Adams- and you get this book!

I really enjoyed listening to it and the dual pov. I am VERY excited for the next book Falling Into Place which comes out later this summer! I am excited to see where Allison Ashley takes the story!

Thank you Brilliance audio for the ALC!

This maaaay be my new favorite Allison Ashley book 😍 Would You Rather made SUCH an impression that it’s hard to compare to that one, but this may be tied for my fav!

This story was packed with all kinds of feelings, it was everything that I love about contemporary romance books. I laughed, my heart squeezed, I swooned. It was just so lovely. A major win for me!

The narrator, Ann Marie Gideon, did a great job on this one. Of course, I would prefer having dual narration, but overall she did a good job for all the characters.

Thank you to Brilliance Audio and NetGalley for the advance listener copy of If Tomorrow Never Comes by Allison Ashley.

Elliot meets Jamie the evening before her stem cell transplant for leukemia. Their meeting starts and ends with that one night but leaves the question as to whether they’ve met their soulmate. The following year, Elliot is in remission and gets to meet her donor, Carly. After meeting Carly she is reunited with Jamie, only to discover that Jamie is Carly’s boyfriend.

Ashley Allison crafts incredible stories. I can always feel the longing of the characters. The first time I read this story it kept me hooked and that was the same with the audiobook. I love Ann Marie Gideon, but for me, I didn’t think this was quite a fit. I was glad that I kept with it but the narration didn’t quite replicate the same emotions from my initial read.

*I received a copy of this book on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for this opportunity*

The night before her life-altering stem cell transplant wasn't supposed to be anything memorable. Elliot Holland promised her best friend, and more adventurous half, that she would explore the scene of Omaha, NE, but, to be quite honest, Elliot had expected to have a subpar drink at a bar, and then make her way back to the hotel where she would spend her last night of freedom (for a while at least) alone. What she didn't expect was to meet Jamie Sullivan.

They didn't promise each other more than that night, and when Elliot left him sleeping outside, she never expected to see the surprisingly charming and funny man again. But neither forgot the other, and both hoped to find each other again some day.

One year later, and Elliot has officially moved to Omaha; her cancer is in remission, and she is ready to start living her life again. However, after meeting her stem cell donor and integrating herself into her friend group, the last persons she expected to see was Jamie-- this time, as her new friend's boyfriend.

Warm and heartening, IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES is a surprisingly touching story about two people and their second-chance at love. Perfect for readers looking for their next emotional rom-com, especially if you love a hefty dose of pining with your happily ever after.

This audiobook approval came after I had just finished reading the e-book on my Kindle so I don't have any specific feedback for the audiobook/narrator, just the story.

I loved this! Allison Ashely takes her career experience and ties it into interesting stories that aren't necessarily sad, but are grounded in reality and living life post cancer treatment. I really enjoyed this romance and felt the chemistry she created right off the bat. The story was fast paced and I really enjoyed the characters and their dialogues throughout the book. Wonderful story!

This one starts with an absolutely adorable meet-cute that had me hooked—until Elliot left that man sleeping on a bench without any way to contact her. (WHY?!) Naturally, fate steps in, and they meet again... in the most awkward, heartbreaking way possible.

Despite not loving the narrator, I was totally pulled into this story. It’s emotional, funny, and full of heart. Elliot (Elli) is such a strong, lovable character—she deserves the entire world, and I was rooting for her the whole time. Jamie (the dude) didn't handle things perfectly but damn near perfect for the situation.

A tender, feel-good read with just enough angst to keep things interesting. Great for fans of emotional slow burns and second chances (with a side of fate messing with your plans).

Possible trigger warnings: cancer
This was a true second chance romance. I don’t normally like those, but I really enjoyed this one. I think the only thing that could’ve improved it was if it was in first person.

This is my first book by Allison Ashley, and I found it beautifully written. It's a softer, character-driven romance that blends emotional depth with humor. I loved the characters Elliot and Jaime. They form an instant connection, but it’s a case of the right connection at the wrong time. When they "meet" again, their romance evolves more slowly, feeling like soulmates rather than instant love.

Perfect pick if you love:
✨Romance tropes: Friends to lovers, Second chances, soulmates.
✨Medical slant - Cancer rep
✨Great support systems - friends, sister, parents
✨And, of course, dogs

I paired the audio and physical versions, spending equal time with both. I enjoyed Ann Marie Giddeon’s narration; she perfectly balances warmth and sincerity in their journey. It’s a sweet romance, whether you listen to the audiobook or read the physical copy—it’s a can't-miss!

I just finished If Tomorrow Never Comes and we have to chat about!

Fate connects two people in life-changing ways in a deeply romantic and emotional novel about hope and second chances by the author of Would You Rather and The Roommate Pact @authorallisonashley

Omg y’all you’re going to want to pick up this semi second chance chance romance. Y’all Jamie is a hunky 6 ft 3 arborist who takes cinnamon roll hero to another level. I just adore the way he cares for Elliot even in the most sticky of situations. This was definitely an emotional read that you should pick up.

4 out of 5 stars.

I know this book was goint to wreck me, and it did. Both in best and worst ways possible.

Allison Ashley remains to be one of my most beloved romance authors ever!

I loved listening to the audiobook, the narrator made her listeners really engage to the story and not wanting to stop till the very end of the book.

I really like Allison Ashley books that she has written. When I saw this one available, I wondered why I hadn't read it already. I liked the story and really like the main characters together. It definitely reads like a romance novel and does not disappoint. Allison writes good stories and I will continue to read it, if she writes it.

Oh my gosh, this book broke my heart but pieced it back together beautifully. Wow. I literally finished this one in A DAY because I couldn’t put it down. Elliot and Jamie were just beautiful together, and I loved everything about the story.

Elliott and Jamie have one magical day together on the eve of Elliott's stem cell transplant only to spend the next year pining for each other without a way to find one another. Then on pure happenstance, Elliott moves to the town where they meet again but this time Jamie is seeing someone. This was a lighthearted romance with great emotional depth (Elliott is a leukemia survivor with anxiety) and a cute dog sidekick. I thought it was good on audio and a sweet story that I would recommend to fans of authors like Ivy Fairbanks. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review.
