I was so exited to find 15 minute Indian by anjula Devi!! Most recipe books I find tend to have meals that are not authentic.

Such an amazing cookbook for quick and easy Indian cuisine. The recipes are well written and easily understood. I will say some of the ingredients are only available at Indian grocery stores (at least in my area) so that makes it harder.

The look of this recipe book is beautiful. From images to fonts to colors, I absolutely love the thought that's gone into the design of this book, and I appreciate the work. As an Indian, I love all the spices used here, especially that fact that it isn't all chili and garam masala all the time, though those are pretty essential to traditional Indian cooking. All of the writing is very simple and short with all the dishes compartmentalized into different categories. Do recommend!

The pictures in this book made me hungry. I found several recipes that sounded good and they looked easy to follow. I am excited to try some of these.

As someone who owns other Indian cookbooks and has made very labor-intensive Indian dishes, I can attest that 15-Minute Indian is true to its word with clearly laid out recipes that aren't overly complicated. I appreciated attention to the layout of steps for each recipe that helps to demystify curries and other dishes for folks who may be less familiar with these ingredients, making it approachable and also fast.

Lots of interesting and accessible recipes in 15 Minute Indian. The photographs are bright and clear and show off the dishes perfectly!
There are recipes from sides to fabulous sounding curries which I am keen to make. I particularly like the look of the Easy Fish Molee which I think my whole family will enjoy.
The Eggy Masala Bread looks delicious as I too grew up eating eggy bread!

Thanks to NeyGalley and the publisher for providing an advanced copy for review.
While I'm pretty often considered a picky eater (I haven't eaten red meat in like 30 years! Bananas are gross!) I'm pretty down for trying new flavors. So while yes, my usual Indian order is butter paneer (sorry, it's ridiculously comforting) I can get pretty experimental left to my own devices with dal. And I've had fun messing around with a couple of the recipes in this book, though I haven't yet had the chance to dive too deep. While I totally appreciate that this is clearly a book for the British, I haven't been able to source ingredients for all of the recipes I want to try, especially while trying to avoid Amazon. A variety of tinned lentils would be a dream, but living in the states the book is a little less pantry staple and 15 minutes and a little more plan ahead.
That being said, I'm excited to borrow this book, and potentially pick up a copy, come summer. There were some fresh veg recipes that I would love to pick from my own garden.
I also loved the included photos. And that from what I can tell, there's not a single recipe written in a confusing way and I believe all of them fit on a single page.
TL;DR: If you live in the US, these recipes might not take 15 minutes due to lack of easily sourced tinned goods, but it's worth the effort otherwise.

Thank you Quatro / White Lion Publishing and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in return of my honest review.
Anjula Devi has presented a fabulous book on a much loved cuisine.
Anjula uses a one pot method to create “fresher, lighter meals in less time”.
The recipes are easy to follow and have beatitude accompanying photographs which really portrayed how delicious the food is.
A list of most widely / commonly used spices was provided, along with a short description of each one.
I am excited to try some of these recipes this month, particularly one of the potato dishes which will accompany our dinner perfectly this evening.
I highly recommend this book,

I cook Indian food quite regularly and I love the long process of preparing the spices and cooking a lovely Indian dinner. The idea of getting there in a shorter time was intriguing and that is what attracted me to this book.
And the book delivers on its promise!
The most challenging part of using this book – if you are not already into this type of dishes, – will probably be to make sure to have the ingredients. It is worth spending a bit of time getting a good collection of the spices that are used in the recipes to be able to enjoy this book fully.
Once this is done, there is a real wealth of recipes available to enjoy. Although there are no meat recipes in this book, there is plenty to be inspired with. I made a few dishes (my favourites were the easy fish molee and the coconut prawn and monkfish) and I found the recipes well explained, easy to follow and...they worked. It took me a little more than 15 minutes, but it is still a quick cooking time and perfectly suitable for a weekday dinner. I also liked the sections on pickles and chutneys, as well as the section on making masalas and spice mixes ahead of time.
The illustrations are nice and colourful, very appetising.
A nice little book to easily bring a bit of the Indian homecooking magic to your days.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for letting me review this book. There are some great recipes that I can’t wait to try and I enjoyed the bit of tidbits with each recipe.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an e ARC of this cookbook in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely love the design and the organization of this cookbook. The design is very clear but also exciting and helps me feel that the user experience is fun without sacrificing function.
As for the recipes, the directions are very clear and easy to follow.
One note for improvement would be that as someone who is less comfortable with Indian cooking, I do wish there would be a little more info about what spices or ingredients are optional or can be substituted. There are a few ingredients that I was not able to find in my local grocery and it is not clear from the recipe if it can be left out or substituted or if I really need to hunt down this ingredient in order to try this recipe.

What a great book to get into cooking Indian food that is tasty, aromatic and fun. So easy to follow the recipes and the results are very tasty. There are recipes I haven't seen in other Indian recipe books so that was good for me.
Love the photos and the ease of being able to get the ingredients and again the recipes are easy and quick making dinner less stressful. Loved it.
Thank you NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – White Lion for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

I got a digital galley copy of the book via NetGalley.
What I liked about the book:
- The recipes in the book are simple, easy to make and delicious.
- A lot of the dishes were unique. I have eaten Indian food all my life and I have not encountered some of the combinations that Anjula has used in the recipes.
What would have made the book better:
- More paneer dishes for sure
- Some of the other traditional Indian dishes would have been great, like Poha.
- More representations of the local delicacies like South Indian or East Indian dishes would have made this truly Indian recipe book.

Well put together recipe book with simple quick recipes.
I did find the constant instructions to “Fill and boil a kettle”:some what strange but I suppose that is to keep the time to under 15 mins per recipe.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. This was one of the few recipe books that worked well as an ebook.

Super fast healthy Indian food, this book is a miracle!
Loved reading through it and looking forward to trying quite a few recipes in there.
Very exciting!

15-Minute Indian is a useful cookbook full of quick, healthy, and mostly vegetarian Indian food recipes.
The photos in this cookbook are stunning. I loved that it is very informative when it comes to spices and how to blend them. There is a wide array of recipes in here so I'm sure everyone who looks through this book will find something to make. I was a little taken aback when I realized most of these recipes are vegetarian or pescatarian. I personally don't mind this, but it may come as a surprise to some. But in the end, this is one of the main reasons everything is so quick to cook!
This is a fantastic book for people who love Indian food or are interested in trying it. I love the concept of quick and easy Indian recipes as it takes out the daunting task of trying something new or different from your norm.
I look forward to trying some of these recipes ASAP!

Great book, lovely looking recipes, really looking forward to working my way through trying these.
Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
15 Minute Indian is a Indian cookbook containing over 90 different recipes to make, all of which take 15 minutes or less to achieve.
This is a game changer for me. I love Indian food and have made a few dishes over the years from scratch but find them often very time consuming to make and too many steps to do in making them, not to mention the long list of spices and ingredients that often get thrown away after little use as I don't make the dishes that often. This book makes each recipe quick and straightforward and much more achievable to make meals from as well as cheaper to purchase ingredients for too.
The book includes different sections for different types of meals, including vegetarian meals too. The photographs are mouthwatering, and the book is easy to navigate and use with fantastic instructions, too. I highly recommend this book for anyone like me who loves Indian food but lacks the time it usually takes to make it.

I was really looking forward to this book of recipes because I love Indian cuisine but have always been too intimidated to try making it myself.. Unfortunately, this book still makes it feel intimidating. The title says 15-minutes but gathering the ingredients and prepping the food would take longer than 15 minutes. I love the idea of this cookbook but the lack of simplicity and some hard to get ingredients has me giving it 3 stars. I will say the photos are fantastic and make everything look delicious. I would try all of the recipes, just not cook them myself.

Loved the recipes in here! It's hard to get actual recipes from my aunties with measurements and ingredients that I can actually use (they go by memory and measure by heart), so this was super helpful to have a base recipe that I can tweak to my tastes.
