How far would you go to keep your perfect family from imploding?
Now I’m beginning to get used to the world of book socials, I thought I’d have a nosey at @Netgalley and see what it’s about. I love it! found it really quick and easy to set up and I’m glad I did. A massive thank you to @bookouture too; I requested to read this book and was approved for my first ever ARC🫶🏽.
I decided from the moment I read the blurb that this would be my kind of book; lots of twists and drama promised. A scorned wife and a killer husband. It was easy to devour this fast paced thriller. There was a second where I thought Jo might be a bit whiney, but I was rooting for her before I even got to the end. She was made to be a mother and it’s so clear throughout with how fierce her character is regarding her kids. The twists worked their magic. As soon as I hit the first one I was determined to finish and find out how it ended. I thought I feel like ending is perfect too and that I got enough closure for the story. Made me interested to look at Danielle Stewart’s other books.

Jo has the perfect life. A nice house in the suburbs, a loving husband, and two beautiful children. That’s all on the surface though. Her relationship with her preteen daughter is on thin ice, her husband always traveling and never around, and her son has life threatening allergies that could kill him any moment. When the opportunity to host an exchange student from England, Eden, falls into her lap, Jo jumps at the opportunity to restore some normalcy to her live. But when Eden goes missing and the police set their sights on Jo and her husband, her “perfect” life begins to crumble.
“Three Little Lies” picks up quickly and never slows down. A fun missing person mystery where readers will be shocked by the twist near the end. Well executed suspense and a well paced plot gives this novel 3/5 stars.

Wow! I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I got into right from the start and love that it has short chapters that keep you wanting to read chapter after chapter. I figured I knew how this one would go with the family and what the wife's secret was, boy was I wrong. Highly recommend.

This thriller was a WILD ride from start to finish, with a slow build in the beginning and some astonishing twists in the end. I thought I had it all figured out and was definitely shocked by the twist (LOVE when that happens)!
On top of an already strained marriage between an anxious, overprotective mother and a father with his own secrets—the family chooses to welcome into their home a foreign exchange student. Will this be the decision that brings them together….or will it lead to some irreparable changes? What would you do for your family, for your children? How well do you really know those around you?

Eden lands on Jo’s doorstep on a school exchange - no one could predict what was about to happen. There are surprises throughout the book that certainly kept me guessing. Is love enough to keep this family together or what will the family unit look like at the end. So many secrets. A really good read

I really liked this book! It was a great thriller and made me feel tense and anxious while reading. It was entertaining and interesting and it did have me hooked! i wanted to keep reading on until the end to see what was going to happen!!
Thank you to NetGalley, to the author, and to the publisher for this complimentary ARC in exchange for my honest review!!!

This is a great book. It definitely kept me turning the pages. I can always say I know a character is well written when I dislike them from the start. Jo is an overbearing, over protective mom with an absent husband and two wonderful kids. Throw an exchange student in the mix with a mysterious past, someone goes missing, husband gets locked up and that’s not even where it gets good! Read this. It’s great.

I felt this book really kept you on the edge of your seat. There is a shocking twist at the end of the story but it doesn’t feel like it drags on. I feel like this is a fast paced book with a good ending.

Three Little Lies by Danielle Stewart is an absolute page-turner that kept me hooked from start to finish! With its gripping twists and unexpected turns, this thriller masterfully weaves suspense and emotion, making it nearly impossible to put down.
If you’re a fan of psychological thrillers packed with surprises and layered storytelling, this book is an absolute must-read. Be prepared for a thrilling ride that will leave you thinking about it long after you’ve turned the final page!

- ARC Review -
Thank you to the author Danielle Stewart and publisher Bookouture for providing me with a free ARC copy of this book in return for my honest review.
It’s been a while since I have read a psychological thriller, and I forgot how truly gripping they can be! 👏🏼
Whilst this book started off a bit slower than most, by about 30% of the way in, the pace picked up exponentially!
I go into psychological thrillers with bad vibes about EVERYONE, and this book is no different, but I think that is what the author wanted!
Jo, a stay at home mum, and Everett, a Chief Technical Officer for a tech company, are happily married, rich and successful, so of course not everything is as it seems 👀
Helicopter mum Jo is frantic about her son’s allergies, and also desperately trying to hold onto the remnants of her mother daughter relationship with pre-teen Megan.
When given the opportunity to host an exchange student with severe allergies, under the illusion it could help heal her relationship with Megan, Jo jumps at the chance and doesn’t give Everett a choice in the matter.
Enter Eden, stage right. Eden has come from a small seaside town in England, desperate to absorb herself in American life and also learn more about the tech business from Everett.
On a romantic date night, that is supposed to be to fix some issues within their relationship, they receive a call from Megan, begging them to come home immediately, and so the turmoil begins!
This book is filled with twists and turns, and whilst I did anticipate the first big plot twist, I did not see the rest of them coming! It had me hooked right until the very end! At least I know that some of my bad vibes were warranted 😂
If you’re looking for a book to absolutely binge in one sitting, this would be one I wholly recommend!

The book is a slow burn in the beginning but once the story kicks off it results in a very good psychological thriller. It is funny how you can think that you are living the perfect life, but dreams can be shattered, and this book portrays how far one woman will go to try to protect her husband and keep their idyllic life together. The title of ‘Three Little Lies’ really sums up this story, how lies can in the end destroy us all and ruin our very existence. Will definitely look out for more books from this author.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of the book, all opinions expressed are my own

This book was SO. GOOD. Sadly I have high expectations for thrillers, but this one did not disappoint. I wasn’t even halfway through the book and my jaw was ON. THE. FLOOR!!!! Everything unraveled at the perfect pace through the entire book & I was never bored. This book has twist after twist after twist!!! 5 star read, highly recommend!!

This book was a fast, suspenseful read. I read it in one day. The twists were unexpected and the story gripped you from the start. I was enjoying this book so much by just 25% finished, and I was already looking for other books by Danielle Stewart. I hope she releases more of her incredible writing.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the advanced copy.

Great mystery/thriller to start off the new year!
While I'll admit, this book was a little slow to start, after about a quarter in it really took off!
The author shares small lies throughout the book, which keeps you guessing which one is leading to the "main event". The multiple story lines really keep the twists & turns going through this book, keeping you hooked until the very end! Days later, I'm still thinking about the main characters and the web of lies told.
Thanks Netgalley for the early read on this book!

oooo this book was very intriguing. the start was quite slow but once it picked up, I couldn’t stop.
The story follows the drama and shocking revelations that the Hargrove family faces as the story unfolds. It’s primarily told from Jo’s perspective, a mother who has spent years managing her anxieties while trying to meet the needs of her family. Her husband, Everrett, is constantly working and often absent from their lives. Despite this, they live a relatively comfortable life. However, everything begins to absolutely change when Jo and Everrett welcome an exchange student into their home.
Jo's anxiety gave me anxiety. It was so well portrayed. Her internal struggle to balance her fears with her parental duties was depicted clearly. I feel a bit conflicted about her due to her helicopter-parenting style, but I can't help but admire her deep love for her children.
There are lies upon lies throughout the story, and I honestly had no idea where it would lead or how it would end. It kept me guessing, which is why it was such an excellent and quick read.
Thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for allowing me to get this e-arc.

This book was gripping! Mother Jo is a stay at home mom to her son Ashton who has severe allergies and her daughter Megan who is in the thick of puberty. She’s petrified that something bad will happen to her children one day which is exacerbated by the fact that her husband spends most of his time away from home. The tension builds when she begins to receive threatening letters in the mail and the reader doesn’t know why. After welcoming an exchange student into their home, things begin to spiral out of control and no one is prepared for what happens next! The second half of this was so twisty and unpredictable.
I could never have guessed where this book was going to go….I absolutely loved it. I had my suspicions about certain characters I thought were lying but I don’t think my imagination could have come up with what actually happened in this book. It was so clever, there was suspense, drama and also heartwarming family moments after plenty of conflict.
I could not put this down. This book kept surprising me when I thought I had it figured out. This was a brilliant and captivating read and I loved the resolution in the end. Megan and Eden’s relationship really takes a journey throughout the book and I love where they ended up. I enjoyed all the crazy theories the police drum up during the investigation. I would highly recommend this book. I went in blind and I enjoyed this so very much.
Thank you so much to @bookoutore @dstewartauthor and @netgalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review

This was effortlessly one of my best reads in 2025. Being an avid thriller reader, this book questioned my second-guessing ability. This was my first story where I couldn't trust anyone ,even the narration.
The storyline had a depth which I could feel within my soul. The extend to which a mother would go when it concerns her children was portrayed in an passionate psychopathic questionable way. Looking for fairness and perfectness in a thriller book is a foolish thought because without a confused and stupid protagonist or deranged disintegrated antagonist or grey and selfish deuteragonist there would no spice. This book had all the three which I think added to the drama.
It seems like a short book of 278 pages but it is a slow burn. Betrayal hits harder when the betrayer is an excellent actor and believer is a delusional nurturer. Half way into the book and I already wished I could whack the protagonist for her stupidity, but that's the sign of good writing.
Each twist hit me harder than I imagined since the author was so convincing about the narration. The book highlights the importance of good parenting and the impacts of bad upbringing.
Overall, it's a dramatic thriller best sided with a coffee☕️

that was WILD!!! I had no idea what direction the book was going, and boy did Danielle keep it interesting and engaging. This is a must read!!! Just when you think you know what’s happening, here comes another twist.

4.25⭐️
This book is definitely a well written page turner! There were so many twists, different storylines, and unexpected details that kept you hooked from the beginning until the end, trying to figure out what was happening and what was actually the truth. I also felt like the main character was relatable in her anxieties about motherhood and stressing about her children’s safety. Overall, this was very creative and original and I really enjoyed it. Thank you to Danielle Stewart, Bookouture, and NetGalley for the ARC in return for my honest review.

Dark thriller with many twists and turns. Secrets and lies torment and turn upside down a traditional family.
