This cozy romance kept me on my toes and I loved it. I love country western life so this definitely hit the spot. I loved the scene with Jack and Maddy, and definitely the bath scene. I already want to read more from this author!

I had not read anything by this author, but I will in the future as l loved everything about this story. Amber Dawson has returned to her hometown after the end of a disappointing love affair and although a trained chef, she has been cooking at the town diner. She also acts as a buffer between her sister and father who work on the family ranch. When she plans a special dinner event for her best friend, she receives help with the set up from a local man who works on her friend’s ranch. Benedict Harrison, former military, keeps to himself as he deals with family and PTSD issues on his own. Although he is attracted to Amber, he knows that she could never be interested in someone like him. While helping with the event, they end up trapped in the mountains due to a fierce storm. The shepherd’s cabin has saved their lives and the close quarters has given them time to get to know each other. He finds himself even more attracted to her, but when they return to town, will they be able to resume the closeness that had developed between them? When an incident at the diner threatens her life, will he lose the woman he has come to love? I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)

This is a sweet, easy read. The small town setting is so cute and there are some lovable side characters (as well as some not so lovable). It's also closed door. I loved the first book in this series and it was great getting to see more of Madison & Jack.

I adored both Benedict & Amber and they make such a cute couple. The snowed in shelter was the perfect cosy setting and I loved learning more about them both. It was a bit Insta love but the third act added some drama. Amber's house and her cooking both sounded incredible. The ending was so heartwarming.

I'm hoping we'll get a Ruby book as well because she's such a fun character.

Is a dual point of view heart-warming cozy small town mountain read. Benedict was wonderful, I loved seeing his thoughts and growth of how good a person he is. Amber is sweet and shy. With a mix of drama and romance written where you feel apart of it. At times I felt myself get at certain people's actions within the town as if it was really happening. A honest connection with Benedict and Amber and community that truly supports one another.

Brilliant writing CJ Hackland and thanks ARC provided by Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op.

Amber is a chef but after a breakup she is back in her home town cooking in a diner. Benedict’s military service left him with PTSD. He is hiding out from family in Rustler’s Ridge working as a ranch hand. When Amber’s friend Jack wants her to arrange the perfect proposal for him and his fiancé she enlists Benedict’s help. I really liked this story. Benedict was attracted to Amber when he first met her but does not feel he is good enough for her. Their proposal dinner for Jack ended perfectly until a snow storm hit and Benedict and Amber were sheltered in a cabin for a few days. I loved how clever and creative Amber and Benedict were as they waited out being rescued. I loved how they felt comfortable enough to let the other into the secrets of their lives. The love of the townspeople, friends, and a fire that threatened the town and lives make for a great story.

A quick sweet read that slightly missed the mark for me.

On paper it sounded like it had all the makings of a cute one bed snowed in romance but it just didn’t meet my expectations. Both Benedict and Amber’s characters are nice enough but together they lacked spark. Perhaps it’s due to the book having no spice at all with only a few kisses it didn’t allow for tension building and left the romance feeling lackluster.

The side plots could have been great given time but given than the book is so short they didn’t really play out. I would be interested to see a book for amber’s sister Ruby.

Thank you to CJ Hackland, Victory Editing and NetGalley for advanced copy.

Well, I couldn’t get into this one for some reason. The blurb sounds great, but I couldn’t connect with any of the main characters. I did not finish reading this one. I made it to 31% and then quit.

A really sweet snowy day read! I read this in one sitting. Both characters were complex with well-developed backstories. Amber is a trained chef stuck in her hometown diner, and Benedict's secretive past that led him to the same town, When the two get snowed in at a cabin during a massive blizzard, they have to quickly get over their initial tension. A slow-burn romance with a predictably happy, satisfying ending.

I absolutely loved a Snowed In Heart. A beautiful second chance love story. It had me feeling all the feels and swooning over each page. J will definitely be checking out more books from CJ in the future. Great characters as well! Very relatable.

Hallmark movie worthy! Benedict and Amber both had baggage that needed to be unpacked. You get bits and pieces throughout the story. I had a feeling how this story would end and I wasn’t disappointed. A little light on the spice level, but the storyline itself was awesome.
