I really enjoyed this anthology, all the stories kept me engaged and wanting more. I would really enjoy all of these as novellas or full length novels which I think is a good sign of any book, anthology or not.

Stupid Cupid 4/5 stars

“You’re not wrong, this is too good to be anything other than fate”

First Cupid sounds hot AF so I was already here for this story from the beginning. I enjoy that it was a random meeting of fated mates. I am obsessed with the idea of glowing tattoos. They definitely didn’t waste anytime getting to know each other physically and I’m not mad about it. (The only thing that put me off is the name Alma, it feels like an old lady name because it was the name of my old lady babysitter when I was a kid)

The hand-off 5/5 stars

“Those sounds are mine, Pip. Every noise you make belongs to me”

Whoa! So Maisie is living the dream, in the UK, surrounded by big, fit and powerful rugby men and she has not one but two of them drooling over her! I would love more on Noah and Maisie but omg the way Griffin just takes her how he wants her had me absolutely sweating I was fanning myself vigorously reading this one. All I know is I need more of all three of these gorgeous characters wether they’re paired off or even better if all three are together *fanning myself again”

Love ink 4.5/5 stars

“His face is pure reverence, like he just found a new god to pray to, and I’m ready and willing to be his altar”

This one had me pretty giddy, as soon as Lucas asked Jade to lunch I was like “omg everyone shut up it’s happening!” Then to my surprise the supply closet happens after lunch and I almost fell off my chair. Also the flashback and his tattoo made me say “awe” out loud cause it was so cute! Also Maddy is such a good sister lol.

All my love 5/5 stars

“Oh boy, Clearly, dessert made him horny too. Or maybe it was that searing kiss they had just shared”

Okay so Julia and Harry are one of my favourite couples in the book. They are both little cinnamon rolls that need to be protected at all costs and I love them so much. Even though I know he said he was paid to help I feel like he probably didn’t take much from grammie and besides he didn’t have to go above and beyond like he did. Their love was so contagious it made me want to dance around my living room like the scene in the forest from sleeping beauty.

Skeleton MDS4A 4.5/5 stars

“If you cared anything for me , you’d let me unite them”

Okay this one was wild! First off it’s bonkers bananas that there was so much tension between Amelia and Ian, like you could cut it with a knife and I was here for it every step of the way, I will say this was the most frustrating story because I kept yelling at the book and telling them both to stop touching things, even if it is their job, and to put things back. Also this one ends on such a cliffhanger I simply must have the whole story or at least the next part or I might go mad.

Be Mine 4/5 stars

“Maybe he’ll pound his chest next time I see him. We can role play Encino Man”

I love Charlie because I am obsessed with basset hounds and he was clearly the little mastermind behind this whole set-up. I love Rick because of his name and how Samantha describes him as being scary but he’s a giant softy baby. I adore Frank because even though he’s an absolute cinnamon roll he also knows how to command intimate situations in a way that would make you drool as your eyes roll back in your head and then praise you and cuddle you and make you a tea afterwards. Samantha on the other hand I could easily live without she was a little too rude for my liking. In the end though she seems better clearly she just needed her reset button hit and Frank was able to do that.

I thought that this was really good! I’m not usually a big reader of short stories or anthologies but I think that all of the shorts included in this one were just right. The pacing didn’t seem too quick, the plots were really interesting, and I actually really liked all of the different characters.
I think the thing I liked the most about this was that each of the shorts were so completely different from each other, had a lot of different tropes and sub genres that there wasn’t a single second that I thought any of them sounded similar. Honestly I think that’s really important with an anthology because you want each of the shorts to stand out from each other and offer something different overall!

All of these were really quick and fun to read, with lots of spice, romance and smut thrown in mid way that each of them really felt like insta love meet cutes ( which is one of my favourite sub genres )

Really worth a read especially if you need something short and sweet to read in between other books, and even more so if you really love the romance genre!

Love Between the Lines is a cute short story compilation all set in the romance genre told through different tropes. I stumbled across this book cause of my love for Ivy Dawes' writing in StarStruck & I'm so glad I had the opportunity to read an ARC through #NetGalley.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own, but do yourself a favor & read this compilation of lovely stories. A few I liked & some I definitely would have kept reading an entire novel of that story. All different levels of spiciness are found in these stories, but overall, a fun, entertaining book I will definitely recommend to others RomCom readers.

🌶️🌶️-🌶️🌶️🌶️ (depending on which story you read)

The perfect quick spicy read to get you ready for Valentine’s Day. All the stories are completely different with one central theme of spice 😊.

It’s a fun anthology with a story for everyone depending on your likes and dislikes. They range from to enemies to lovers to Greek mythology so there really is something for everyone.

As they are short stories, you don’t get the huge character development you would with a novel but that’s not what this book is about. This books purpose i think is to take you on quick and smutty adventures and it does that brilliantly. The perfect smutty palette cleanser.

As always i went in fully blind. The first story was fantastic! The second one has me begging for more. The third one has me in a hold and refusing to let me go. Fifth book has me cackling. Love The mummy. There was only one story in here i could have lived without which honestly is amazing!

I love short stories anthologies and this book was a great one! AND it's all Canadian romance authors so huge plus!

I really liked the spice level index at the beginning so you could choose whatever you were in the mood for. I also enjoyed the fact that there was a mix of genres, ranging from paranormal romance to your modern contemporary romance.
There's really something for everyone in there, whether you enjoy scorching paranormal romance or you're more into sugary sweet small-town romance. It's a great way to sample some new authors writing, and I've definitely added a couple to my list!

Thank you to Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op and the authors for the opportunity to read and review this book. I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

Insta love, Friends/coworkers to lovers, fated love, Guy next door...
More spice then plot (erotica) not much character build; just a fun read.

I’ve started to really enjoy short stories, and especially when they’re all piled into a little novella like this. Each and every author managed to hold their story together so well! They’re all written in a way that makes me feel like I jumped straight into a book I’d been reading for a while, it felt as if I knew the characters and got the right feelings to go along with the plots. Which usually takes me a while so I am amazed at how easy it was to do with these.

Stupid Cupid by Luna Day 💘
I’ll read anything Luna writes, it’s always perfection and makes me in such a good mood. This was no different! It was so different, and so perfect. The insta lust and fated mates! And the magic at the end 😮‍💨

The hand-off by Ellory Douglas 🏉
I adored the three different povs in this story. I was at some point anticipating Noah to maybe be a part, but that changing room scene was chef’s kiss!!

Love Ink by Marlee Ryan 🖊️
This started of a bit more shy, but ended in the best way. I loved the little nudge of her best friend to get them in that room together as well. Pure genius and loved the humour!

All my love by Mimi Gunn 🏠
This was a more emotional one, it felt so warm and wholesome. I can’t believe he made that cake for her. It’s like her nan knew they were meant for each other, it was so so sweet!

Skeleton mds4a by Ivy Dawes 🔐
My head struggled a little bit at first to jump to a paranormal romance, but once it caught up I was invested. I loved the rivalry and the way they talked to each other, the ending actually had me wanting more!

Be mine by Violet Pearce 🌳
This one felt so cosy. Dogs. Out in the forest. Wfh. Shirtless beast. It just ticked all the boxes I didn’t know could be ticked.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Luna Day for introducing me to these stories, and also these amazing new authors that weren’t already on my radar, but now have a new follower 🫶🏼

STUPID CUPID by Luna Day 2%-14%
4 ⭐ 3 🌶️

This was such a cute and spicy cupid retelling. I loved how they met, the bit of banter and the unique spice. This was short, sweet and so fun.

THE HAND-OFF by Ellory Douglas 14%-34%
5 ⭐ 3.5 🌶️

Omg I need more and I need it now. I'm assuming this is the start to the most perfect MMF rugby age gap romance that there ever was. I could not get enough of Maisie, Griffin and Noah. Maisie is plus sized and so smart, hot and strong. Griffin is our old gruff old man who I'm expecting a bi-awakening from soon. And Noah is our cocky, young player who has the hots for both of them. This one has so many good tropes and I'll definitely be following Ellory for when this whole story releases.

LOVE INK by Marlee Ryan 34%-50%
5 ⭐ 3 🌶️

Gah another absolutely adorable short. The tension between Lucas and Jade was so perfect and the spice was *chef's kiss* It ends on a good, clean, HFN note, but I certainly wouldn't mind a full length story of these too.

ALL MY LOVE by Mimi Gunn 50%-70%
2 ⭐ 2 🌶️

This one just wasn't for me... I had a hard time connecting with the characters and the story as a whole.

SKELETON MDS4A by Ivy Dawes 70%-84%
3 ⭐ 2 🌶️

Really interesting storyline that of course had me excited about a Mummy retelling. I found the tension and romance lacking a bit for a novella, but there's definitely promise there in what's clearly supposed to be a full length novel. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on Ivy's socials for the rest of this one.

BE MINE by Violet Pearce 84%-99%
4 ⭐ 3 🌶️

This was really cute and a great way to finish off this anthology. The banter was perfect and while I'm not sure I one hundred percent understood the ending (at least I hope not with the insinuation I was feeling...) I really enjoyed these characters and the writing.

**ARC Review**

First of all - thank you to the authors and to Netgalley for the chance to read and review this Valentines Anthology.

This is not my first anthology - I love being able to sample multiple authors’ work in short story form. Of the six authors included in this, I had previously read three of them - I was aware of the other three.

This was fantastic! Each story was unique in both premise and writing style… you want glowing cinnamon-flavoured cum? This book has you covered. You want some sexy rugby players? This book has you covered. You want a dirty hookup with a best friend’s brother in a closet? You guessed it - this book has you covered.

Two of the stories left me wanting so much more after those endings! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we’ll hear about full-length versions coming soon! 🤞🏻

This is a perfect read for Valentines Day, and I look forward to checking out more by each author!

If you're looking for a quick read with all the heat then look no further than Love Between the Lines! These short stories bring all the spice and sexual tension you could ask for. This book was not necessarily my favorite because I like more of a plot line, but this book is perfect for those wanting a little spice to get them through the day.

Thank you NetGalley and Victory Editing Co-Op for e-ARC!

This anthology is a great Valentine's Day treat for all spice and romance lovers! Quick, super-hot and fun stories!
Also I've enjoyed that different kind of stories are here with wide hero representation. I think that everyone will find what to entertain themselves here.

Stupid Cupid was my favorite one, I'm obsessed with fated mates trope.
The Hand Off by Ellory Douglas is really great at describing curve girls and it really can be a full length book!
All My Love is a very well-though one, very good story ending, the author really did a great job!
Be Mine by Violet Pearce was also very enjoyable, dog side character was so cute! And the spice!

This is a collection of short and steamy stories. There is something for everyone in this collection. I read some authors I had never heard of before. My favorite of the stories was by Violet Pearce. It is about a woman living in the woods and her smexy neighbor.

Six short stories by different authors. Fun concept - spicy stories - interesting reads.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary, digital ARC in return for my review.

Wonderful Lineup

These six stories are filled to the brim with storylines that will suck you in. They are a carefully crafted lineup that I believe pair well for the quickly approaching Valentine’s Day season. Each is unique and this book brings something for everyone.

I was a big fan of Violet Pearce after previously reading her work, now I have five others to add to my list because of this Anthology.

I received a free copy of this book from Luna Day, Ellory Douglas, Marlee Ryan, Mimi Gunn, Ivy Dawes, Violet Pearce and Love Lit Press. I am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions are my own.

Love between the lines is a mix of short stories with varied spice levels...but there is spice in all of them! I enjoyed this and read and it was rather speedy! The short stories all go together seamlessly and I finished the book in one sitting!! If you are looking for the perfect in-between reads, this my friends is it! The reviews per story are below :)

- Stupid Cupid: a steamy short story on Cupid and his after Valentine’s day festivities. This read was the perfect length but also left room for more if the author decides to continue!

- the handoff: Maisie is studying abroad in England assisting a world-class Rugby athletic trainer. This short story has a little spice with athletes and those who treat them. Cute, open ending for continuation of the author decides.

- love ink: Think tattoos. Tattoo artists. Childhood friendships. Tension and build up! This was a great small town vibe for romance!

- all my love: This short story is giving P.S. I love you vibes in a way and I love it. It’s giving hallmark romance. Inheriting a home in the countryside drives Julia to renovation and reflection. Thought this tough experience, she isn’t alone. What will come of the mysterious neighbor next door?

- skeleton mds4a: the story opens with scholars at a dig site on Marbh. Once they make a life changing discovery, things just continue to fall into places. Competition(enemies) to lovers? Secrecy that could break the little trust they have? The ending is open if the author wishes to continue.

- be mine: a widowed grandma, a single granddaughter and a dog. The granddaughter is house/dog sitting in the house in the middle of the woods. the dog runs away and she’s anxious to find him, but ends up finding something else.

Stupid Cupid by Luna Day
Rating: 3/5 ⭐️
Read if you like: fated mates, strangers to lovers, mythical romance, instalust
Cupid has been alive for thousands of years and has helped countless of couples get together. Finally he meets his person, Alma, the one human that can see him and he has a chance to live his own happily ever after. This was only an okay read, if you’re looking for a short story that’s instalust and no plot, then this is for you.

The Hand-Off by Ellory Douglas
Rating: 3/5⭐️
Read if you like: age gap, athlete x trainer, sports romance, cliffhanger

Griffin and Noah are teammates, when they both see the new trainer, Maisie, they’re instantly attracted to her. The story is short but I can tell it’ll be either a MMF or love triangle situation with the 3 POVs. Either way, both are not my cup of tea but I can appreciate how this story was full of tension. It leaves on a cliffhanger so I’m assuming there’s going to be a full length book at some point, I just wish we got more because it felt like an incomplete story.

Love Ink by Marlee Ryan
Rating: 3.5-4/5 ⭐️
Read if you like: best friend’s brother, forced proximity, tattoo artists, childhood crush, “fuck it”, jealousy

Jade and Lucas were very cute! They had a crush on each other for years but they never did anything about it. Finally, Lucas makes his move after he gets jealous and they have a steamy time in the closet. Definitely my favourite story of the anthology ☺️

All My Love by Mimi Gunn
Rating: 3 ⭐️
Read if you like: matchmaking, small town, neighbours to lovers, close proximity

Julia’s inherited a cottage in a small town after grandmother passed. Harry, her neighbour, has offered to help her renovate so she can sell it. In the process they end up falling for each other. While the story wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t memorable.

Skeleton MDS4A by Ivy Dawes
Rating: 3.5 ⭐️
Read if you like: paranormal, rivals to lovers, dark academia, cliffhanger

What an intriguing story! Dr Todd and Dr Connolly have been rivals for years and now they’re tasked to find some artefacts. Some strange things happen but I wish there was more to the story!! What a cliffhanger 😭 I did find the fmc annoying but I was hooked enough to know I would’ve loved a full length book.

Be Mine by Violet Pearce
Rating: 3 ⭐️
Read if you like: small town, black cat x golden retriever, close proximity, neighbours

Samantha was very much a black cat, she was standoffish and snappy to everyone, but especially to the MMC. I thought it went 0 to 100, she disliked him so much and then all of a sudden they were fking? Uh not even the slightest bit realistic. There was no connection or tension 😭 I also don’t get why the MMC just stood there and took her attitude. Yikes
