Luke tells his underdog story, in this colorful, chaotic autobiography. He comes up with all sorts of wild plans and schemes to get rich & meets chaos or tragedy at just about every turn. I enjoyed reading a book from a queer author. Seeing representation in media is so important. And Luke tells his story of how he would fail, but get right back up again & on to the next new chapter in his life.

Hadn't gotten around to reading this yet, and I'm most definitely never going to now.
I, like everybody else who requested this book, received an email from the publisher disclosing the use of generative AI in the writing of this book.
I don't care if AI is only used as a spellchecker or whatever, there is absolutely no excuse for using AI in the process of writing a book.
As a bookseller, I am wholeheartedly against the use of AI in the book industry.
Do better.

How to Win a Million Dollars and Beep Glitter" by Luke Stoffel is a poignant memoir that chronicles not only the author's relentless pursuit of financial success but also his personal journey through life's ups and downs. Stoffel takes readers on a global adventure as he navigates different jobs, experiences love and loss, and grapples with the complexities of chasing his dreams.

The book is more than just a recounting of Stoffel's escapades; it's a deeply personal narrative that touches on universal themes of resilience, ambition, and the human spirit. Through his travels, career changes, and personal relationships, Stoffel illustrates the highs and lows of his pursuit of wealth and fulfillment.

One of the book's strengths lies in its ability to inspire readers to pursue their own aspirations, no matter the obstacles they may encounter. Stoffel's story serves as a reminder to never give up on one's dreams, to embrace life's challenges as opportunities for growth, and to find meaning in both successes and setbacks.

While Stoffel's memoir is rich in personal anecdotes and motivational insights, some readers may wish for more detailed exploration of certain experiences or emotions. Nevertheless, "How to Win a Million Dollars and Beep Glitter" leaves a lasting impression by encouraging readers to live boldly, chase their passions, and never lose sight of what truly matters in life.
