I adore this manga so much! The artstyle is not only incredibly cool, but we also have charismatic characters as our main couple to follow and I love how refreshing the storyline is in Shoujo manga! Otogi is so funny and I like how self-aware she is! Toki....toki is so pretty haha I love his reactions to Otogi and how attentive he is to her. Them sharing a secret only the two of them know increases the attraction between them and I am so excited to read more of their story!
Thank you Netgalley and Kodansha for the review copy!

Angels😇 or not?😈
The manga really surprised me – in the best way possible! At first glance, it seems like a cute and funny rom-com, but then a deeper storyline comes into play, making everything even more interesting.
The two main characters appear to be perfect angels in public – kind, polite, and gentle. But deep down, they both have a slightly less innocent side… and accidentally let each other see it. This leads to plenty of funny situations because they keep pretending to be the perfect angels anyway.
I really enjoyed seeing their different sides and how they interacted afterward. The mix of comedy, romance, and a more serious theme was really well balanced. I’ll definitely be reading the next volume!

4.5 stars.
This is a cute love story with beautiful illustrations and characters. One book is not enough, I need more! Definitely waiting for book 2 to release.

I enjoyed it. It was such a fun read and it reminded me on how many people try to hide their true feelings just to go on with the day. This was so cute to read and the romance was also something to look forward to. I hope that the author will continue with the series and will be able to show their profound love to one another. The setting does take place in a place where we try to find ourselves as we grow older and we do our best to try to impress others. And we need to understand that sometimes pretending to be something else might make us loose sight on who we truly are and the things we want to do. Thank you for allowing me to read such a great book.

I love stories like this where the characters are everything and nothing like what you expect! And the art is very pretty, too! Overall, great volume!

A great at start to a series. I can’t wait for volume two to come out.
I loved this twist on the genre and it’s definitely what’s going to keep me coming back to it.

Thank you to Kodansha Comics for sending me this e-arc. This manga was so fun!! The story follows these two characters who have angelic, beautiful images as student council heads. The two soon find out that each of them is not as “perfect” and “angelic” as they seem. I love how flustered the fmc was with the mmc’s teasing and how they grew closer over time. The art style was really cute and made a playful vibe for reading. I can’t wait to read the next volume. I would rate this 4.75 🌟

I didn't vibe with this manga. I don't know what it was about it but it just couldn't keep my attention. The art is adorable and the story was intriguing, but I just kept finding my mind wandering while I read it.
This was provided to me by NetGalley but all opinions and reviews are my own.

When Katsura and Ninomae find themselves in a situation where each of their perfect masks slip, a potential romance seems to be slowly developing through their shared secret.
My hope for this story is that Katsura and Ninomae develop loving relationships with themselves through their growing respect and affection for each facet of the other.

I knew from the beginning it was gonna be the series for me. It is genuinely Kare Kano, and I hope it does stick the landing this time around. Characters with hidden interiors always take the cake for me, and with art this hilarious and beautiful, take my money. Otogi and Toki are already such an adorable pair, balancing this act and finding comfort in one another--AH! I'm in need for the next book.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for providing me with this eArc in exchange for a review
This was a super quick read that I very much enjoyed.
The art style is amazing ! And is laid out so you can clearly follow the story.
The main characters are so multilayered, which I love in books! They have an angel personality to everyone else but to eachother they are something completely different! Dark and mysterious in a way, just want to know more about them
Would love to carry on the series

Sooo I love the premise, but I wish the first volume was longer so it didn't leave on such a cliffhanger. The small portion about the pedo teacher felt out of line/random, but it did give Ninomae depth -- and gave the audience a chance to see him flustered.

4★ // Otogi Katsura—a.k.a. "The School Madonna" and "Heartthrob Angel"—is a first-year high school student and student council president lauded for her angelic demeanour. Her eyes are set on Toki Ninomae, her perfectly handsome vice president. However, neither are who they appear to be. When their true selves are revealed to each other, they form a unique bond, navigating their dual lives while discovering more about their counterpart.. and potential love interest.
First and foremost: the art style and character designs are STUNNING (we love a pink-haired, coquette-ish girlie). This was what initially attracted me to the manga, without having any idea what it was about. (Also, can I say that undercut, ponytailed Toki is so attractive to me.)
Fall In Love, You False Angels departs from the typical shoujo high school romance, with the main female character being quite assertive, witty and sharp-tongued, a great contrast between the delicate facade under which she hides. It's quite refreshing to read, as I love these types of "colder" characters. I can't wait to see what their budding romance blossoms into and to get to know the two more in future volumes!

Otogi, the school’s class president, is beautiful and seen as a “heartthrob angel”, while Toki, the vice president, appears perfect and also beautiful -- but the truth is both have a hidden side that’s dark and brash. I thought the premise was interesting and it was fun watching these two team up. I would’ve liked to explore the characters more and flush out the overall story but still a quick read others might enjoy.
Thanks NetGalley and Kodansha Manga for the copy!

Thank you to NetGalley and Kodansha for the eARC!
This is a really cute manga. Otogi Katsura and Toki Ninomae are the first year president and vice president in their school and are practically perfect in every way. Or so it would seem. The two put on a "perfect" face at school, but outside of school they are both.. a little less polite? Honestly, my biggest complaint about this series so far is that there is not a big enough difference between the "good" and "bad" versions of these characters. I don't feel like their "real" personalities really warrant a cover up.
That aside, this really is very cute. The two characters are pretty likeable on their own, and the dynamic between the two is fun. Otogi's inner turmoil throughout the volume is pretty entertaining, and the art is great. Overall I really enjoyed this one and will probably check out volume two once it's out.

thank you thank you thank you to the publisher and netgalley for the e-arc!!!
i am positively shrieking!! i don't think any shoujo manga has got me feeling like this since Daytime Shooting Star!! it just has that vibe that you can tell it's going to be spectacular. it really is giving Kaguya-sama but this is so different and i love it.
firstly i have to say this art style is absolutely adorable and if not for the story, stay for the very cute art!! i love how cute the fmc looks, but there are subtle shifts from the rose background to sparkles to show when she is trying to be cute vs cool. and the mmc..... god the princely aura he has normally is very nice and shoujo manga but when he turns badass!! so yes, come for the art, stay for that and the story.
and this is just the first volume, but oh god. i like how easy the names of the main characters side of the tongue,, Toki Ninomae and Otogi Katsura. very nice. i love how they have a hidden side to them that they accidentally showed each other and this led to them being able to be true to themselves around each other. i love the Dark Ikkoku persona and their dynamic is actually so sweet i'm going to get diabetes. it's also nice how Toki is opening up to her by inviting her to the cafe where he and Gen-san work....
anyway. back in my shoujo manga era. i will be following this manga now~

Thank you to NetGalley and Kodansha for the ARC.
The "Fall In Love, You False Angels" manga vol.1 by Coco Uzuki is a cute story about Otogi and Toki. They are the role models of their school and based on their looks and immaculate behaviour they are nicknamed as angels. However, the fun begins when they let their guard down and start actually being friends instead of maintaining appearances.
Even though it is a very light read at some point it also brings up topics of Sexual harassment, Sexual assault, Pedophilia from peers and teachers to students.
I like the art style, the story is cute and fun.
This manga is for readers who want a cute quick manga volume about appearances and what happens when the right person gets to know you for who you are.

otogi and toki are the president and vice president of their class, both of them are known for being really popular, kind and having flawless reputations - they're like angels. however, they both have a hidden side they don't show to anyone. that is, until they discover each other's secrets!
this manga felt like a blend of horimiya and kaguya-sama and i had so much fun reading! if you're a fan of those manga and love romcoms you'll probably enjoy this one as well.
the story was fun, the characters are likeable and i found myself laughing multiple times. i really like coco uzuki's art style, it's so pretty and cute! i love the dynamic between otogi and toki and i already want more of them!
i'll probably check out the japanese version because i feel like some things inevitably get lost in translation but i really appreciated the little translation notes at the end. i can't wait to continue reading this!
~thank you to kodansha comics and netgalley for the arc!

The ending was odd, the story felt as if there was no clear "plot". As if it was an empty story where nothing happened.
I'm glad I read it and finished it because it made me appreciate the manga style.
