here's Something About Mira is such a unique story about self-discovery and finding one's voice and not being afraid to use it.
What appealed to you the most in this story?
I found myself fully absorbed in the mystery surrounding the necklace and how the dual timelines would fully come together in the end.
Also, the supporting characters were so thoroughly developed which added so much more depth and emotions to the story.

There's Something About Mira is an emotional yet heartwarming and thought-provoking story that will resonate with all readers.
Thank you Amazon Publishing and NetGalley for this gifted copy.

It's been a while since I enjoyed a Sonali Dev book as much as this! I love when she leans very romantic and dramatic, and this book did just that. It has all sorts of improbable coincidences, and I loved that about it. While the topics it covers are very real and heartfelt, it doesn't need subtle storytelling or hyperrealism to make its points. Big characters, big feelings, big action. I ate this up.

The audiobook was so good! I am a big fan of this narrator from previous stories. They do such a good job of introducing and separating characters, especially when there are so many. I found this story to have so much depth within every single character. There was never a point where I felt lost or confused with the storylines, everything flowed beautifully. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is interested in reading about the complexity of love that can come in so many forms.
Thank you to NetGalley, Sonali Dev, and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy of this story.

I really enjoyed this latest from Sonali Dev that has Mira Salvi, an engaged Desi woman visiting her estranged gay brother in NYC finding a ring and trying to track down its rightful owner with the help of Krish Hale, a reporter with his own mysterious connection to the ring. Part family mystery, part romantic suspense and full of drama, romance and action.
This book really had it all and I loved seeing Mira stand up for herself against her homophobic parents and find the true love of her life where and when she least expected. Great on audio narrated by Soneela Nankani and perfect for fans of authors like Sara Desai. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

The description of this book sounds just like a fun Hallmark movie so I thought this would be a nice light read. While it does have some of the elements of the Hallmark story, itโs so much more than that. I loved everything about this book, the search of the ringโs owner, the truth about why they are searching, and the fun adventures (and some harrowing) they have along the way. But where this novel really shines is in the character development and the people Mira becomes as she continues through the book and how she learns to be her true self. Highly recommended for a heartwarming read with just the right amount of romance.

There's Something About Mira was a delightful read. I went into the book expecting it to be more of a romance than it was, but I'm actually glad that this was more of a contemp fiction piece because I loved Mira's journey to independence and finding herself being the real focal point of the plot. I think that any person raised by immigrants can strongly relate to her story, especially those with parents who were strict and had very high expectations. I also expected the setting of New York to be the show-stealer, but was pleasantly surprised by the amount of the story that took place in India. This felt like a love letter in its own to places like Mumbai and Darjeeling. All in all, such a lovely read!
