There's something very nostalgic about the Encyclopedia of Birds by Jules Howard. It's got great illustrations, and helpful descriptions of the birds, so it's a great text for a novice birdwatcher. The glossary at the back is very clear and helpful for understanding the technical jargon of bird classifications. I love birds.
This book is gorgeous, informative, and fun to look at. I can definitely picture it on my classroom bookshelf. Students could flip through it for research, or they could use it as a reference to draw a picture of the Scrub Jay they saw at their house and wanted to tell their best friend about.
Thank you to Net Galley and Quarto Publishing Group for the digital advanced copy!
Very cute and informative book, I especially lived the illustrations. I thought it was neat that they included lots of more obscure birds from across the globe.
