I thought this was a book that would help me find some information to go along with my current position. I wanted to find a way to u seedy and some of the analytical side to make better decisions. For me this book was difficult to read. I believe it is great for people who are more into this, for my I was trying to learn something I know little about.

This is a useful guide to the world of Business Intelligence (BI): what is it, why should one care — and why would one want to be a BI practitioner, what tools are on the market today (and what’s coming), and how a business could apply BI. The book contains many case studies to explain these concepts, templates and other resources. A great and comprehensive resource!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for ARC.

I’ve been a BI developer for 3 years and have mostly had to teach myself on the job. This book was great a great addition to my professional development so I can ensure I am following best practices. I think this would be well suited to people new to or exploring a Business Intelligence career path as well as seasoned professionals.

Very insightful look into Business Intelligence. I have worked as a BI developer for the past 10 years, and found this to be a well written breakdown of the history and intricacies of the field. Definitely worth the read if you’re in the field or interested in learning more.
