Although this was once again the fun Elle Kennedy read I expected, it was slightly too long. There were many things that could have been cut. I felt that some of the characters were lacking depth. I did like the polyamorous relationship though. That was something new and well done!

The Charlie Method

⭐⭐⭐
I requested this arc via Netgalley because I'd heard good things about this author. I have not read the other books in the Campus Diaries series nor any books by Elle previously. I found that this was able to be read as a standalone.
This was also my first Hockey romance (I know!) and my first MFM.
An interesting storyline, that did not end in the way I expected. It explores themes such as family dynamics, adoption and friendship whilst also challenging societal norms about what a relationship should or should not be.
There was a fair amount of spice but it didn't detract from the story. An overall enjoyable read.
A couple of side notes: the formatting of this arc was a little weird on my kindle, big gaps in random places and things like that. I also felt like the 'fan fic' and 'dad chat' chapters ruined the flow of the story and didn't add to it in a positive way.

I loved this one!! I didn't think I could love Beckett more than I already did but he is one of my fave EK mmc's like this woman can write a reformed playboy cheeky blonde SO WELL! He was so precious and funny and he was such a good friend and I love how he cared for everyone around him and seeing his past with his ex made so much sense about some of his behaviour and why he was anti love/relationships but I loved watching him accept everything and falling in love with was so cute
I also love Will so much and loved getting to know him so much he is such a lover boy and such a cutie. Loved seeing how things between him and Charlie started and the friends to lovers was so cute
Charlie's was such a good fmc and she fit both boys so well I loved all their dynamic. I liked Charlie's background with being adopted and trying to hunt her family down with her brother that was good too even tho I didn't really like the brothers jealousy but I guess that also made it more real.
Now as much as I loved this it's defo my least fave in the series some of the things in it were a little unnecessary and some filler to make it longer even tho personally I don't think hockey romances need to be over 400 pages but that's just me. It also made me sad finishing this cos I loved the friend group of hockey boys so much yet this one ended with the 3 of them moving away to Australia and leaving everyone behind like what?? I was so sad like yes it was a cute happy ending for the 3 of them but I didn't like the fact they left cos I love the found family part of these books so much.

Thank you NetGalley and Little, Brown Book Group UK for the ARC
THE DAD CHAT!!! OMG I loved it haha. Elle Kennedy really brought out the spice with this one. I mean a poly romance? Sold! I had a blast reading it and really enjoyed the book. No more need to be said. Just read it!

This was a really fun MFM/why choose romance with likeable characters and an interesting side-plot, but it did feel like the relationship was mainly based on a physical connection and I just didn't feel the emotional side to it which meant the HEA did not feel realistic.
Seeing the off campus/briar u men in the dad chat was definitely a highlight though 😂

The Charlie Method - Elle Kennedy - ARC/ALC
I absolutely loved these three! I felt like the personalities really complimented one another, this one had a lot less drama than I expected considering it was MFM!
Beckett was so much more complex than I’d expected after reading about him in the previous two books, I loved how him and Will were oppositions but also had so many similarities! The fact the Beckett could read Will so well was sweet, it also helped that he was Australian because we like to switch it up!
I felt so bad for Will and how strained his relationship with his Dad was, and how that strain trickled into his every day life, I loved that he showed growth and acceptance towards himself, and could admit to himself when he knew he fully hadn’t and took he took the time to make that right!
I thought Charlie was so so fun and interesting, I loved the double life that she lived, how she was prim and proper Charlotte and then Will and Beckett’s Charlie too! Her adoption story and the search for any biological relationships was so heartbreaking especially when she finally got to meet Harrison and how she took all that guilt on herself.
This was such a fun read and I can’t wait to see what comes next for Elle!
Also I am 100% sure that I would read The virgin and the Blade, and thoroughly enjoy it!!

Elle Kennedy delivers yet again with her newest romance – “The Charlie Method”.
This book follows Charlie on her self-discovery journey in both her family life and love life. This MFM love story had a great mix of humour, heat and emotion. There were many layers to this story which made for an engaging read.
Charlie, as the female lead, is a refreshing character. She is type A to a fault with a wild side she keeps tightly under wraps. I loved Charlie’s character – she was engaging, fun and so deeply relatable in her pursuit of keeping everything in her life on track.
The romance in this story was a slow-burn but it paid off tenfold. Being an MFM story I was prepared for the spice to hit but it was so steamy I had to fan myself at times. The banter between Charlie and her love interests, Will and Beckett, was brilliant – something Elle Kennedy executes flawlessly in every book she writes. The support and love Charlie is shown throughout the book was beautiful, the boys truly knowing how to give her everything she needs.
As usual, Elle Kennedy delivers in her typical style of smooth pacing, realistic dialogue and humour that will have you laughing out loud throughout. She simply never misses.
Beyond the romance element of the story we see Charlie reaching out to her biological family after being adopted from Korea as a baby. This added a whole other level of emotion to the story and kept me turning the pages, as desperate for an answer as Charlie was. This storyline was handled sensitively and was engaging throughout.
However, I did find myself left wanting a little more development from our MMC’s. I feel as thoroughly developed as Charlie was, Beckett and Will were slightly less so. However, this is not to say we don’t get a full understanding of their backgrounds and characters, I just personally felt like I wanted a little more from them.
Overall, this was another smash from Elle Kennedy and holds the usual appeal of her books. Lovers of sports romance will absolutely devour this latest instalment in the Campus Diaries series. While it leans on some familiar tropes, the sharp writing and interesting plot will make a great addition to any romance lover’s shelf.

Thank you so much to Net Galley and Little Brown book group UK for the opportunity to ARC read this book.
The Charlie method is the 3rd instalment in the campus diaries series and it did not disappoint! Elle Kennedy can do no wrong in my eyes, I love her writing and she is the QUEEN of hockey romance.
This story follows Charlotte, Will and Beckett as they navigate the dynamic of a MFM relationship whilst finishing up their final year in college along with an abundance of family drama.
The DAD chat absolutely made this book for me! Nothing will compare to my off campus boys but I love having the crossover and pop up in these books. Also Coach Hollis did not disappoint🤣🤣🤣
Also nothing is funnier than the FANFIC in this, it truly had me in hysterics!
"Subtlety was never my strength," he said, his voice low and rich. "Conquest, however, is. And I've got TWELVE inches of steel to back up that claim." - The virgin and the Blade
Hahahahha!!! 🤣🤣
I'm now off to reread all my Elle Kennedy favourites.

Absolutely love this series , the first two books were brill, and the charlie method didn’t disappoint at all !
I went into it blind and was surprised in the direction that elle took it ! I loved it just as much as the other books, great characters, great story line , brilliant plot!

Back in 2022, the sports romance was something new to me and it was 📚The Deal by Elle Kennedy which made hockey romance in ink my favourite type of sports romance and the Off Campus Series holds a special place in my heart 💗
When this title released, I didn't waste a second and downloaded this asap 😍❤️🤌 and was it the decision!? OH DAMN YESSSSSSSS 😁❤️💯
This is a MFM romance which was again a new type of romance to me and did I like it! YESSSS I DID..!!
This is the third installment in Campus Diaries series, which has the second generation from her old series. So, ofcourse we get to see our favourite old characters but a little bit older version and the characters have the same wittiness and spark as these are written by Elle!! What do you expect 🥰❤️ they again looted off my heart!
This one was such a easy breezy quick read with brilliant characters as lead. Our Charlie opps Charlotte was mesmerizing and amazing in her own way. She has two versions and you need to read to know which is what!
Plus our boys 🤌🤌🤌🤌 hockey players yet both have their distinctive features which I loved but the best part was both had the soft side for our Charlie ❤️
I had a great time reading this one.

First up a big thank you to @ellekennedy33 & @netgalley for my arc, I am beyond grateful! I'm a big Elle Kennedy fan, the off campus series is an all time fave of mine, I loved the Briar U series too so was super excited for this next gen series! After reading the previous two books I was beyond excited to read more of Will & Beckett! I utterly adored Charlie, I loved seeing her two different sides and felt for her so much feeling like she had to hide her true self. She's sassy and smart, I loveeee the girls from this series! Beckett & Will, Omg these two together 🔥🥵 but they're also so much more individually too. Beckett is super vulnerable and Will is trying to not care what people think and be his own person. Loved the dynamic these three had 💗 I really enjoyed getting to explore each of their stories. The chemistry was UNDENIABLE & the spice was HOT 🔥 honestly the best!! This book actually put me through all the emotions, Elle's writing is just everything she always hooks me in and never fails to disappoint! I am so sad this universe/series has come to an end, these will always be a comfort read for me and il defo be revisiting 🫶🏻
Highly recommend reading!💗

This was a fun, easy read but probably not one I'd pick up again. Some parts felt a little 'off' but I enjoyed it overall

ELLE KENNEDY KNOWS HOW TO WRITE AN ICE HOCKEY ROMANCE!
I have been waiting for Beckett and Will’s story since i picked up The Graham Effect last year and boy did it live up to the hype.
Elle Kennedy nailed it with their storyline and creating such a strong character in Charlotte. This is my first ‘why choose’ and i feel like this has definitely got me seeking out books with a similar trope! The three of them paired together had such a strong dynamic and complemented each one of them beautifully and may i add the spice and dirty talk in this was *chefs kiss* perfect!
Each of the three main characters had their own storyline of battling their identity and what they want from their life’s - which identifies with a lot of young adults in their twenties which made them a lot more relatable. Will Larson, with his boy next door charm is a politicians son who just wants to escape his father’s shadow. Beckett Dunne the laid back Australian heartthrob that is finding it hard to deal with his romantic feelings. Charlotte is the perfect sorority student majoring in biomedical engineering leaves a double life, as by night she seeks the thrill of fast cars and hot guys.
The reason this books sits at a four stars is because i did find the pacing of the book to be off in moments, such as the storyline with her brother being rushed towards the end. I also would have loved to see more of the trio as a couple after they felt more comfortably being public with their relationship as again i felt like it was just crammed into the ending.
i know it’s a CRIME that i’ve yet to read the off campus or briar u series. but i already know im going to devour them from what ive read of the found family within this series. i would without a doubt recommend this book and series to anyone who loves a college romance with or without reading elle kennedy’s connecting series!

That was definitely not what I expected. Thanks to NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this before publication.
The Charlie Method focuses on what, for many, is a very unconventional situation. It explores how three people can end up in a relationship together, beyond the ‘trying-it’ fumble that seems to be the norm.
There’s a lot of sex. From the start to the end there’s a lot of activity. Oral sex, sex talk, sexting and actual sex. At the risk of sounding like a knock-off Leah from ‘DNA’ sex features heavily. And there’s no denying it’s good sex. It would be rather disappointing in such a book to have a letdown experience, or even just not that exciting. So, that’s one box ticked.
I liked the book for so many more reasons than that though.
Charlie is a character who feels pressured to act/behave a certain way. She sets herself up feasibly high standards. She gives so much, and doesn’t always have people looking out for her. Given how Will and Beckett look out for her, it’s not hard to see why she works her hardest to make their set-up work.
The book explores many complicated relationships without seeming heavy-handed. There’s the expected humour and sarkiness that brings some of the peripheral characters to life. And it left me with a smile on my face!

This book follows the story of Charlotte (Charlie) Kingston as she embarks on a journey of self discovery, both of the present her and her origins, by going outside of her comfort zone and finding the courage to be something other than what everyone expects her to be.
The Charlie Method was fun, exciting, and definitely spicy!! I loved the dynamics of the relationships in the book, including the insight we get into parent/child, sibling and friendships, and Blake was a top tier character.
For me, the book could have delved deeper into certain topics, such as Charlie and Harrison’s situation, but I appreciate it was more of a subplot and may not be what a lot of readers were reading for. The plot was fun but didn’t have a whole lot of direction.
Overall though this book was fun, light and engaging! Thank you :)

I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!!!
I adored Charlie and her men - Beckett and Will!!!
From the cute and steamy chats to get to know each other to the chemistry when they meet in person.
Beckett was definitely my favourite as he was cheeky and loved to tease Charlie. Every time he called her sugar puff it made me smile so much!!!
Will was the more serious one but I loved how he centred Charlie.
I wish I was more like Charlie lol she was so organised and I loved her method to making decisions.
I felt for Charlie and her internal struggle of being judged dating two men but you will have to read to find out more!
THE SPICE!! YOU GUYS!!!! ONE WORD - FERRARI!!!!
It was interesting learning more about Charlie and her discovering more about her identity especially being adopted and her wanting to know more about where she comes from.
Overall, a really good book and cannot wait to see whats coming next from Elle.
Thanks Elle and Hambright PR for kindly sending me an arc to read and review. This is my own honest opinion on the book :)

I’m not usually a crier when I read, but oh, you guys! This is such an amazing why choose romance. The green flags and wholesome characters make this story. Charlotte is a Delta Pi girlie and has a family full of over achievers. But, she lives a double life as Charlie, with secret hookups and a passion for driving fast cars. When she matches with the faceless but ridiculously hot Lars&B she is not expecting her new lab partner and the annoying hockey jock to be at the other end of the chat. And she also doesn’t expect for what follows to be anything more than physical because that would be way to complicated, right?
My hot take:
🎀 I’m so here for this green flag, taboo romance
🎀 The bond between all 3 of them runs so deep and made my lil’ heart flutter
🎀 The boys looking out for Charlie quite literally melted me
🎀 Beckett. BECKETT. I wasn’t ready for this man – HE MADE THIS BOOK. There. I said it
🎀 The watching, the sharing, the praise, the encouragement 😮💨🧎🏼♀️
🎀 We hate Agatha, ok?
🎀 Dad Chat, Coach Hollis and more Blake for lovers of the Briar U and Off Campus series 🤌🏼🔥
Thank you so, so much for this ARC @ellekennedy33 @littlebrownbookgroup_uk and @netgalley I am so excited for the final book of The Campus Diaries to be out in the world. Book three releases Feb 25th!

Huge thank you to Hachette and Netgalley for the advanced copy of The Charlie Method.
This was so freaking good, I genuinely could not but this book down. It came with me everywhere because I was so invested. Whilst this will not be for everyone, boy oh boy was it for me. I'm nothing but a lover for a little unconventional romance and boy did Elle Kennedy deliver on that. She served it a god-damn silver plater.
Firstly, I loved reading Charlie's story, she's definitely a little bit of me. Type A perfectionist at her core with a sprinkle of anxiety in the mix. The Charlie METHOD, girl genuinely love. And there's the two boys and I genuinely couldn't tell you which one I love more, Beckett or Will. I think that's what I loved most about this book, how different they were for each other but just how easily the puzzle pieces fit together.
And the spice was so freaking good. I read every single page which says a lot because usually I skim read the spice but this...

5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“You’re ours,” I say in her ear. “Fucking ours, baby. And we’re yours.”
omg I absolutely adored this book! I do love a romance book but often they fall bit flat for me as once the couple get together I can often get bit bored but not with this book! All 3 of the characters have depth, they all have their own little side stories and plot running along side the main plot and the romance 😮💨😮💨 This is a MFM book and it's done so well! I absolutely adore all 3 of the main characters so much 🥺🥺 I love Elle's writing, I was engaged throughout and loved the plot as well as the romance. Charlie, Will & Beckett deserve the world. Can't wait for the next book!!
Spoilers below:
Characters ࿐ ࿔*:・
Charlotte/Charlie is our FMC and I adore her. She's smart, confident, funny I really love her personality and how she interacts with other characters. Charlie is adopted which further adds to the plot as well as her character as she's on a quest to try and find some of her biological family. Beckett our loveable Aussie is such a golden retriever 🥺 He's so funny and thoughtful and love the side he brings out of Charlie. Will is such a calming influence and love how his strong firm side comes out. Also love how he takes control when they are altogether 😮💨
Plot ࿐ ࿔*:・
I loved this plot because it wasn’t just about the romance there were subplots happening throughout as well! The main storyline follows Charlie’s search for her biological parents through the use of a dna website. She doesn’t find her parents but she does find out she has a biological brother, that she messages and doesn’t get a response from. She ends up meeting him later as he tracks her down and they try to get to know each other although it’s strained as his brother has a lot of resentment as he wasn’t adopted with Charlie to a good family and his adopted dad abused him. They do ultimately manage to work through these issues and Charlie and her brother end up getting along 🥺 As well as hockey that both Will and Beckett play, Will is also going through some family stuff with his dad. His dad works in politics and forcing a lot of expectations on Will, resulting in a strained relationship between the two; they don’t get on. Will ends up working for one of his dads rivals and their relationship unfortunately (or fortunately cos tbh Will deserves better) doesn’t get better. Beckett is also going through some stuff mentally as he is just a broken hearted boy. Although, he tells Charlie and Will that his ex broke his heart by cheating we later find out that his ex actually died of cancer and it was really traumatic on Beckett. Charlie and Will are hurt that Beckett didn’t tell him but it provides insight to my Beckett doesn’t feel like he can commit as he’s worried he will loose Charlie or Will.
The Romance (aka what we are really here for) ࿐ ࿔*:・
Charlie is swiping on a dating app when she comes across a profile of 2 guys (she can’t see their faces). She ends up liking them, they like her back and then begin chatting over messages. She has really good chats with them some really funny and some really kinky😮💨 Charlie has never been with 2 guys before so she’s abit apprehensive but she’s in to it so she asks to see a picture of their faces. The guys sends a photo to Charlie who realises she knows both of them as she has classes with both Beckett (teases her in class) and Will (who’s her lab partner). At first she freaks out but finally agrees to meet them for a date and the romance grows from there. The scenes when all 3 of them are together are so good, Elle really knows how to write a good romance 👌🏻 As the book progresses the guys realise they both have feelings for Charlie and Charlie has feelings for both of them and they want to make it work but are worried about the perceptions of others. Finally, they agree to try make it work with all 3 of them and decide to move to Aus as Charlie and Beckett have got offers there. Everything seems to be decided but Will decided not to come last min 🥺🥺 leaving Beckett and Charlie in Aus and Will on his own. After Will finishes the campaign for his dad’s rivals campaign he realises he misses Beckett and Charlie too much, rejects the job offer and surprises them in Aus.

📖✨ The Charlie Method by Elle Kennedy ✨📖
Summary:
The Charlie Method by Elle Kennedy follows Charlotte Kingston, a college senior who lives a double life. By day, she’s a model student and sorority sister, but by night, she becomes “Charlie,” a thrill-seeker engaging in anonymous online escapades. Through a dating app, she unknowingly connects with two Briar U hockey players—Will Larsen and Beckett Dunne—who share a complicated dynamic of their own.
Will, the son of a powerful congressman, must maintain a pristine image due to political scrutiny, while Beckett, his laid-back Australian best friend, harbors his own personal struggles. As their attraction deepens, Charlie, Will and Beckett must navigate their secret desires, hidden truths and the societal pressures threatening their growing bond.
Elle Kennedy never misses and The Charlie Method is proof. I was hooked from page one—Charlie is the kind of heroine I love: smart, adventurous and unapologetically herself. And don’t get me started on Will and Beckett… one is the golden boy with too much to lose, the other is the laid-back Aussie with a broken heart and together? Absolute chaos (in the best way)!!Their chemistry is off the charts, but what really got me was the emotion behind it all 🥰
This book had me blushing, laughing and really stressed wondering how they’d figure it all out 😅If you love steamy college romance with heart, this one’s a must-read!
💭I need everyone to read this ASAP so we can scream about it together 😍🔥
