💞 MFM romance
🏒 college hockey players x sorority girl
💞 opposites attract
We got to know Beckett & Will in the earlier Campus Diaries books, and I have been so excited for their book! 🔥 This one is MFM, and it’s so much fun 👏🏼😅 Both of the boys absolutely worship Charlie and if there’s one thing I love it’s a man who would do anything for his woman (or in this case… two men who would do anything for their woman 🧎🏼♀️)
It definitely wasn’t what I was expecting when I heard it was an MFM book - yes it’s spicy, but it’s tamer than I thought it would be! The relationship between Charlie, Beck & Will is actually really sweet, and Elle does such a good job of making us love both of the boys… and I really didn’t know how it was going to end at all! (a rarity in a romance let’s face it)
I do feel like because of the MFM setup a lot of the book is focused on the taboo around that, as opposed to the actual relationship(s) & its development… which I would have really liked a bit more of. But Elle has done such a good job of making us love them as a three 🫶🏼
Personally I think I would have loved this book more had it been MMF - I just struggle to get my head around the fact that the guys are completely ok with sharing and being in a polyamorous relationship, when they’re not remotely interested in each other? But that is probably just me!
Also some of the side plots here were *wild* and a little unnecessary - but I still had a lot of fun overall!

This book was so unexpected and loved it so much. The plot and characters were great, and the spice was truly spicing 🤭
I had moments of laughing out loud at some of the lines, and was hooked throughout

Charlie is a sorority girl, woman in stem, perfectionist and academically competitive but she has secret second life that would make people question her squeaky clean reputation. I instantly liked Charlie off the bat, she's strong minded and knows what she wants. Most of the time it's the girl chasing after emotional unavailable men, whereas Charlie takes control of her life. Her character explores her experience with adoption and her identity struggle as a Korean-American.
Beckett ended up being my favourite! He has a fun guy exterior but he's deeply emotional and mature. I also have so much love for Will. He's such a sweetheart and I felt he was the glue to this dynamic and balanced their personalities well. His side plot was interesting but it did feel a bit out of character to me. Elle puts so much effort into creating engaging character arcs for all 3 main characters. One of my fave things about this series is it offers great plot and character depth in addition to top tier spicy scenes. I loved the dynamic between Charlie, Will and Beckett – these characters all have a lot of love for each other so they work perfectly.
This series has been so much fun to read - one of my fave aspects is the found family with the OG characters from the off-campus series but I've also managed to fall in love with all of the new gen characters.
There was a few things which kept this from keeping 5 stars. The Queen Elizabeth 1st and Alexander the Great fanfiction was funny the first time but it ended up taking up too many pages. Some of the scenes it was inserted after made the book feel a bit choppy and cut short moments I wanted explored more. I also felt the career aspirations towards the end gave me a bit of whiplash like I missed something as this wasn't really discussed throughout the book, considering they are in their senior year. The adoption storyline also felt messy and rushed towards the end.
I loved this overall and I can't wait to see where this series goes next!!

Thank you to NetGalley, Piaktus, and Elle Kennedy for the advanced copy of The Charlie Method in exchange for an honest review.
I have been waiting for The Charlie Method since Beckett and Will were first introduced in this series. This book was a lot of fun, and definitely my favourite of the series so far. I also liked how Charlie, Beckett, and Will each had their own issues to deal with outside of their relationship - Charlie's adoption story line was especially poignant.
The only gripe I have is that the ending felt quite rushed, and I didn't quite get the point of Will's decision at the end as it was resolved in the next couple of chapters.

This book had everything I expected it to have! The dynamic of their relationship was so well thought out. The way the book showed the moments of doubt and how they overcame them so they could be together was so refreshing.
This book had spice, banter and good communication. The way Elle writes hockey romance makes me fall in love with each book. I adored the characters especially Will and the struggles he faced with his father.

- so I’ve read every single book in the briar u / off campus series including the past 2 books so when I got the notification( email) to tell me I had been approved . I was somwhat confused but happy .
Anyways i absolutely love Charlie and I love will and Beckett too ( I love their relationship) I’m a huge fan of mfm books . I always love seeing one woman finding not only man but two that love and adore and worship her the way she deserves .
So will and Beckett make a dating profile ( together AND ITS A 2 person profile ) and Charlie swipes right on them ( they obviously swipe right on her and then they start talking & spilling all their fantasies to each other . One thing i loved is how she met the two guys outside of the app ( without knowing it’s them) . She and Will hit it off when they suddenly become partners in their science class & Beckett and Charlie first meet on the first day of the start of their senior year of college ( they are in the same class ) . - and she absolutely is not a fan of him hehe .
Then as you can probably guess they meet up and then go on a date hehe . I really enjoyed that scene it was a super fun scene .
It’s a spicy book and I loved having all 3 of their povs. I loved having insight into all of their minds and laughing at the funny parts of the book. God the spice was hot . It’s 100% her spiciest book .
In the past she has teased threesomes ( but I’m glad that this book didn’t have her fetishing a gay couple to do it) unlike in the score - there is no fetishization involved thank god .
I loved this book and I enjoyed it a lot . I absolutely love Charlie , Beckett and Will .
This book made me laugh so much and it was so enjoyable. And funny and maybe one of my all time fave Elle Kennedy books
I also loved seeing the Ryder appearances and being reminded that him and Gigi are married . Oh and I like the Shane scenes too. Low-key would be fun if we randomly got a book about Gigi’s ex . - only cus like I think it would be fun to see if Elle could actually make him grow on us ( considering the way he acted in
I’m excited that we will probably be getting a Blake Logan book ( Logan and graces ) daughter . But the fact it most likely will be a college football romance book instead of hockey. I’m excited nonetheless . Since it will be in the briar u / off campus universe and I have a goal to read every single book in that universe that elle publishes since it’s a fun universe to be in.
Oh and the times Gigi appears in the book ( her cameos are >>
Will calls Charlie ( baby) which had me swooning .
I find the idea of having a politicians son be into having 3somes with his best friend kinda cool . the fact he’s from this really rich family & is out here with his best friend worshiping their friends with benefits. Also I like the fact that this is will and Beckett book.
I absolutely loved will in the Dixon rule ( Seeing his interactions with Diana and him realizing and coming to terms with the fact he’s likes having 3somes with his best friend . It was easy to like him but this book made me fall for him .
Seeing Mike Hollis make an appearance is funny that man has me laughing especially with the whole dad chat thing . ( ngl him and his wife rupi lowkey remind me of will smiths best friend in the fresh prince of bel air and his wife . Like that’s the vibes I think of when I think of Mike and his wife rupi.
Seeing coach jensen again is always fun( the fact he’s been in every single book from this books universe ) from the deal to now the Charlie method .

💭UGH, can Elle ever write a bad book? I really really enjoyed reading this one, and if I didn’t have adult stuff to do I think I could have easily sat and read it in one sitting. Her writing is always so good and so easy to read. I’m always sucked straight into the Briar U world.
💭I absolutely LOVED Charlie’s story & most of the characters too! Charlie is an absolute queen👸🏻 and I loved how she evolved throughout. I’ll take both Will and Beckett please🥵. What absolute dreams. Charlie’s parents are the best. The support they have🥹. Minus Mitch, Will’s Dad and Agatha, what a lovely bunch of characters🤭.
💭I also really enjoyed seeing previous characters pop up and the cross overs of timelines in the books.
💭Spice wise, it was pretty good. A little tamer than the Pucking Around series but still HOT. Those boys and their mouths🥵.
💭Overall another fab edition to the Off Campus/Briar U series.

The spice is spicing in this third instalment of the Campus Diaries series and I loved every second of it!! Elle Kennedy is, in my opinion, the queen of spicy scenes and then next to that's she also managed to once again write a darn good plot around it all. Loved it!!

3 stars - arc review. I did enjoy most of the dynamic between Will, Beckett and Charlie however I didn’t feel like I connected with them. I really struggled with the fan fiction part of the novel it really confused me and I did find myself skipping to the end just to see how it all played out. Definitely not my favourite Elle Kennedy book but I’m sure others will have a different reading experience this just wasn’t for me.

Honestly, I love Elle Kennedy.
This book is soooo gorgeous, it is hilarious and beautiuflly written. A 21st Century love story i can really get behind. I have really struggled to get into romance recently, i have a fear that booktok is making my auto buy authors a bit tooo hyper aware, alas Elle Kennedy remains an romance icon. Please keep writing the best romance- i beg

2.5-3 ⭐️
Read if you like: MFM, college romance, hockey romance, secret dating, dirty talking, sexting
I was so excited when I received the ARC for this book, but I’m sad to say that it didn’t hook me at all. It took a lot of effort to push through and read it when all I wanted to do was dnf. I’m SO sad because I love Elle Kennedy sm
I thought this book was way too long, I didn’t need all the fluff and filler chapters. What was with the fan fiction that added literally nothing?? Also the romance was not romancing 😭 I was more interested in Blake’s story and would rather have her book
Charlie is known as the perfect daughter and she’s expected to maintain a good girl image. She’s got a Type A personality and loves a pros and cons list. But to me she lacked dimension and was a very avoidant person, I found her super annoying and didn’t like her as a fmc 🫠
Beckett and Will were nice mmcs, nothing really special or notable though. I did enjoy their strong bond and friendship but that’s it
Overall it was a mid book, it’s definitely not her best work. The story felt messy and too many subplots were happening. We got each characters pov but their own struggles made the book feel all over the place. I also wasn’t into the adoption storyline 😬
I think a lot of people might enjoy this story, it just wasn’t for me 😭
🚨SPOILERS 🚨
That second last chapter from Will’s POV about seeing sexual attraction to ANOTHER WOMAN man what the fuck?? I don’t care if he shut it down lmao he shouldn’t be noticing it at ALL 😡
Beckett and Charlie should’ve been end game and Will should’ve just stayed where he was. I thought it was so unsatisfying like they just accepted him back into their life with no issues??

Thank you for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!
I was so excited for Charlie, Will, and Beckett’s story, but while I enjoyed parts of it, it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The writing was addictive and fast-paced, but the hockey romance vibes I loved in The Graham Effect or The Deal felt minimal.
One of my biggest struggles was the characterization-it felt chaotic. The idea of Charlie/Charlotte as two distinct personas had potential, but it came off more like a half-baked gimmick than a meaningful exploration of identity. This made it harder to connect with her character and fully invest in the romance.
That said, I did enjoy the spice-Elle always delivers in that department. The dynamic between the MCs was great in the first half, but the why choose aspect felt underdeveloped.
I also wish the side character relationships had been explored more, as it would have strengthened the overall story. Some emotional elements were handled well, but others needed more page time.
While this book had its moments, especially with its humor (Dad Chat was a standout!)-it ultimately fell short for me compared to the previous books in the series. Fans of Kennedy’s writing who don’t mind a less hockey-focused story will likely still enjoy it, but it didn’t quite live up to my expectations.

Ok I loved being back with Elle’s writing and Briar campus world! I always find these super easy to read and fly through them.
I love ms Beckett and Will and Charlie. The take on such a taboo topic was done really well and I enjoyed the acceptance. That being said, I could have done with a bit more romance between Beckett and Will rather than them just sharing Charlie. I do feel their entire relationship of all three of them could have been developed more.
The spice was on point. Whole star for it. Would I have said no to pushing it further? Absolutely not. But I enjoyed it 😮💨
Why did I drop a star? Mainly because I felt there was a lot of backstories ongoing that just weren’t necessary. Whilst good fun, why did we need the random historical fan fiction?
I still thoroughly enjoyed my time with this book and I’m grateful to have read an early copy.

Charlotte leads a double life. One where she's a senior A student, hard working, and responsible and the other where she is Charlie the carefree outgoing girl who likes to have fun and casual "sex".
However, when these double lives cross over Charlie is confused and doesn't know what to do especially when there are 2 hot hockey players in the mix (Will& Beckett). How will this trio move forward? Learn and find out 😉
I got to say first I expected more , there was a story in my head and the plot didn't go as I liked personally.
I like spicy novels but this one was a bit too much for me and all in all I didn't like it as much as the previous two books
So if you enjoy unconventional stories and super spicy 🔥 books this one is for you 😁.
Thanks to @netgalley and the publisher for granting me an ARC of #TheCharlieMethod in exchange for my honest review.
Xoxo😘

I loved this book, it was a fantastic read and I’ll definitely be back for more from Elle Kennedy in future, the characters, the relationships , everything was done so well.

Thank you to @netgalley and @littlebrownbookgroup_uk for providing me this ARC.
Elle Kennedy has written and amazing book that's layered with all the challenges of college and holding up appearances and the weight of expectations. Then throw in the complexities of a mfm relationship? You'd think it all gets a little to overwhelming.
Whilst this is the case for Charlotte, it's not so as a reader.
Everything is balanced beautifully with the multi povs provided through Will and Beckett. Allowing to view the multi faceted problems that come from being the son of a congressmen or having a secret you need to hide.
Elle has provided the perfect recipie for a seamless story that's full of plot twists and battling with your own self image perceptions, as well as having the delicious hockey undercurrent throughout.
The Charlie Method provides everything that's needed for a devourable sports romance and hits all the marks.

3.75 Stars. I had expected this to be another 5 star read but it unfortunately fell flay for me. I struggled to connect with Charlie as much as I have other FMC in this series. It was still a great read and I love that Elle is writing about non-traditional relationships.

Thank you NetGalley & LBBG for the ARC of this book. The Charlie Method is a why choose, sports/college romance and I truly loved all of the main characters (though Lars was my favourite).
If you like spice, you will like this book!
It wasn't my favourite Elle Kennedy book just because I felt like the pacing was a bit all over the place at times, but overall it was an easy, fun read and a great addition to this series.

4.5⭐️
Thank you to @NetGalley and Little Brown Book Group UK for providing an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
“The Charlie Method” is now my new favorite book by Elle! It’s steamy, swoon worthy, and hilarious. Charlotte's character was absolutely lovable. The pressure she felt to be perfect came across as both real and raw, something many of us can relate to. Her relationships with Will and Beckett were unlike anything I’ve ever read before. It was the perfect introduction to the "why choose" trope.
I was pleasantly surprised by how strongly the theme of identity was woven throughout the book. I really enjoyed how each of the three characters Will, Beckett, and Charlie had emotional depth and their own personal struggles and subplots. Their points of view felt unique and distinct from one another, adding to the richness of the story.
Elle also did an amazing job portraying a topic that’s often considered taboo in real life. “The Charlie Method” had great banter and kept me entertained from start to finish. The way it handled sensitive topics was well done, all while maintaining its entertainment value.

This book was HOT 🥵
I had no idea what to expect from my first MFM romance, and Elle Kennedy did not disappoint! This book was very well written and had me so invested in Charlie, Will and Beckett’s stories and relationship.
I absolutely loved the dad chat in this, giving me some off campus nostalgia 🤭
I just wanted a tiny bit more from the ending, as I feel like some of the concerns from within the book were left unanswered.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
Thankyou so so much @netgalley and @littlebrownbookgroup_uk for this early review copy of The Charlie Method by @ellekennedy33
