This was my first venture into MFM romance, and even before picking it up, I had a feeling I’d enjoy this category. I’m definitely excited to explore more books like this in the future!
That said, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what worked and what didn’t for me. There were moments between Charlie, Will, and Beckett that I really liked, but overall, their relationship lacked depth. It often felt more like impulsive teenage attraction rather than a well-developed connection. The elements that usually make these relationships exciting—tension, anticipation, and emotional buildup—were missing.
Beyond the romance, I struggled to stay engaged with the rest of the story. The adoption drama, family dynamics, and even the fan-fiction subplot didn’t hold my interest.
In the end, this wasn’t quite what I expected.
Thank you Little, Brown Book Group UK for the ARC.

This was my first time reading a MFM romance, and I absolutely loved it! Elle has a way of crafting characters that you can’t help but fall in love with, relate to, and desperately want to be a part of their world. That’s exactly what happened when I started reading this book!
Charlie, Will, and Beckett—these three characters are so well-developed. Charlie’s journey feels raw and deeply relatable, while Will and Larsen set the bar impossibly high for fictional boyfriends. Going into this, I didn’t know what to expect or how their dynamic would make sense, but Elle wrote such a beautiful story that made it clear: yes, they absolutely belong together.
And can we take a moment to talk about the spice? WOW. It was HOT. Like, toe-curling, heart-racing, fan-yourself kind of hot. My kinkier side was very happy.
The little moments we got with the OG gang, the dad chat, and the effortless humor Elle weaves into her stories made everything even better. I don’t want to leave this universe—I need more. I can’t get enough of her books. Every single one makes me want to be part of their campus life, just a fly on the wall watching it all unfold.
I devoured this book in less than 24 hours. I was addicted. And that first kiss? EPIC.
Huge thanks to The Little Brown Group for the ARC—I’m beyond grateful. This book needs to be on your TBR!

thank you so much to Elle Kennedy & Little, Brown Book Group for the ARC. 🩷
I can’t believe ‘the campus diaries’ are over! My heart hurts now that I’m finished the final book. 🥲
I loved this book so much, I’ve come out of this book adoring Beckett even more than I did in previous books. I think Charlie was the perfect FMC for Will & Beckett, she fit in with them so well and it did feel really natural between the three of them. I do wish we had a little more of Will & Becketts own page time/conversations though, just to get a feel of what they actually felt for each other.
I really enjoyed that each character had their own plot, it’s mainly focused on Charlie’s plot but there is also two background/side plots for each of the boys which was really nice to get them know them better!
The pacing of this book was immaculate and the whole book felt so raw. The conflicting feelings that each character was feeling was written so so well, I loved that all of their inner thoughts weren’t the same and that they all struggled with different parts of this new relationship and growing together.
Elle Kennedy done such a good job on the equality in this book, I never once felt like one boy had more time with charlie or a stronger connection, I truly loved that she felt that both boys gave her different things. Will grounded her, whilst Beckett would push her to go higher and grow.
The side characters!!!! Reading ‘the dad chat’ made me SO happy, it always feels so nostalgic to read the original off campus + BriarU characters as oldies 🥲❤️🩹I love them so much.
Blake’s cameos were AMAZING. The little crumbs left for her & Issac had me on the edge of my seat, i am so excited for what’s to come and for Blake’s book!
Beckett & his dad’s relationship felt so special to read, they really were best friends and you could see so many similarities in them! I also loved Charlottes family & support bubble. The scene nearing the end where everyone started blurting their confessions had me laughing so much, it was like a cannon 😭.
My favourite character in this book was definitely Beckett, the way he’d had all that bottled up HURT to read.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book, and honestly now want to cry my eyes out that ‘the campus diaries’ is over?! That ending had the most bittersweet feeling. ♥️

I’ve only read a few books by Elle Kennedy in the past but I really enjoyed them and thought that this one sounded so different to all the others that I just had to read it!
I wasn’t disappointed at all, flew through it in less that 2 days and was absolutely hooked by the fact that the fmc ended up with BOTH GUYS!!!
I seriously loved the different dynamics between all of the characters and how they didn’t play into their stereotypes at all either.
Did I get the two hockey players confused at the beginning of the book? Yes all the time but that’s just when they were coming off as dumb jock bros
Charlie was such an interesting character, and it’s been such a long time since I felt like I read about such a well rounded and deep character in a romance book. She isn’t just a statistic for adoptions, a high achieving STEM student or sorority girl. There was so much that was slowly revealed about her character that by the end of the book it really felt like I knew every thing about her and actually KNEW her.
The amount of times that she had me nearly crying was insane too. She goes through a million and one problems so buckle up for that ride
I was also SO FREAKING INTO how close both mmc’s are! Beckett and Will have my whole heart, and I especially loved the fact that it was established right at the start of the book that they were into, and frequently did share with each other (if ya know what I mean) it just meant that there was no confusion or awkward moments BECAUSE THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WANTED RIGHT FROM THE START OK
I think that this wasn’t just 100% a romance book either, yes everyone gets their happy ending, there’s lots of romance and intimate moments, but there is just so much more that happens throughout the book to each of the characters.
There were so many moments where Charlie is coming to terms with who she Is and who she wants to be, Beckett is trying to get over/run away from his past, and Will is trying to get away from the shadow of his family.
It was phenomenally well played out.
I honestly don’t think I will know peace until I can reread this and get my hands on a physical copy of the book, and obviously reread it.
This is also without a doubt my favourite book from the author because it just felt so much more real and believable for some reason??? Obviously having two boyfriends isn’t overly believable, but I think it was how much depth the characters had that made it feel like they were actually real people instead of characters?

As a huge Elle Kennedy fan, I was really excited for her to explore the dynamics of a M/F/M relationship.
Our FMC, Charlotte, is a high achieving senior who's been living a double life. She's a STEM student in biomedical engineering and the adopted daughter of an overachiever family; however, she's also a race car driving adrenaline junkie with a tendency for scandalous secret hookups that would have her uptight sorority sisters clasping at their pearls.
I really enjoyed exploring a 'non-traditional' relationship however, I would have liked the opportunity to delve further into the nature of Will and Beckett's connection. It's constantly hinted that the boys could possibly see themselves being intimate with one another if the situation presented itself, but we're kind of left hanging. Therefore, the sex scenes felt relatively tame and repetitive, although the dirty talk was definitely on point.
Charlotte is a Korean American who was adopted and this drives her need to be 'perfect' in both her personal and academic life. She puts a lot of pressure on herself and is constantly worried about the perception of others. Whilst trying to navigate the logistics of her relationship with the boys, she also learns she has a biological brother. This was a really difficult subject to broach, but I feel like Kennedy handled this emotional topic very sensitively.
I absolutely adored the throwback to the legacy dads (I'm obsessed with Coach Hollis) and I really enjoyed the addition of Blake and Issac. Despite this, as a self-proclaimed obsessive fan of the Briar U universe, this book felt slightly disconnected from the rest of the series. I definitely would have appreciated more locker room banter and team shenanigans and less parental drama.
The ending felt rushed and the third-act breakup came out of absolutely nowhere. It also didn't have any impact on their relationship whatsoever despite the time jump. I'm a girl who requires a significant amount of grovelling so the ending left me feeling a little unsatisfied.

Omg I LOVE this one!!! I had zero clue what I was expecting, going into this book, but I was sooo invested!!!
This one was so freaking hot!!!
And that plot twist!! I did not see that one coming! But thank god everything works out in the end because I was starting to think it wouldn't 😱
Such an amazing book! I'm so sad this is the final book in this series, but I'm excited to see what Elle writes next ❤️

What's better than an Elle Kennedy super hot, hockey MMC? Two of them!!
I wasn't sure how I'd get along with The Charlie Method as I'm not usually a fan of two love interests, but when they are best mates who are also into each other then it turns out you can count me in.
This is spicy & funny, but it also has heart too. It also has the Elle bonus of revisiting old characters & this never disappoints.
I loved this & was worried how it would finish, let's just say, it's left me perfectly content. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, just let you dive into these 3 POVs & enjoy the ride.

Thank you for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!
I was so excited for Charlie, Will, and Beckett’s story, but while I enjoyed parts of it, it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The writing was addictive and fast-paced, but the hockey romance vibes I loved in The Graham Effect or The Deal felt minimal.
One of my biggest struggles was the characterization-it felt chaotic. The idea of Charlie/Charlotte as two distinct personas had potential, but it came off more like a half-baked gimmick than a meaningful exploration of identity. This made it harder to connect with her character and fully invest in the romance.
That said, I did enjoy the spice—Elle always delivers in that department. The dynamic between the MCs was great in the first half, but the why choose aspect felt underdeveloped.
I also wish the side character relationships had been explored more, as it would have strengthened the overall story. Some emotional elements were handled well, but others needed more page time.
While this book had its moments, especially with its humor (Dad Chat was a standout!)-it ultimately fell short for me compared to the previous books in the series. Fans of Kennedy’s writing who don’t mind a less hockey-focused story will likely still enjoy it, but it didn’t quite live up to my expectations.

I loved Charlie, Will & Beckett, SO MUCH! I knew I was going to love the guys but it was the not knowing who their love interest would be that had me nervous. I needn't have worried though because Elle Kennedy smashed it once again. This story was absolute perfection. I adored Charlie and she was such a great addition to the beautiful partnership of Will & Beck.

This book was a bit of a struggle for me which is a shame as I had such high expectations.
The characterisations felt a little all over the place for me, the whole Charlotte vs Charlie thing didn't make much sense IMO. I don't think Charlie was very nice to the boys at the start of the book. I understand the doubts and self-conflict but I don't think she dealt with it very respectfully.
That being said, I did enjoy Beckett and Wills dynamic, they have a strong bond and foundation for the relationship with Charlie and I enjoyed the second half of the book a lot more, especially the ending. I also really enjoyed the dynamic between Charlies family. I think they had such a strong bond that shone through.
The side plot with Blake was EVERYTHING. She was fantastic and I wish the book had just been about her. She may be getting her own story though?? In which case this book has made me all the more excited for it! Charlie's best friend Faith is a legend. She was everything you'd want in a BFF and made some of the heavier moments funny and humorous.
I feel as though the adoption storyline was a bit messy and on a complete flip side I honestly have no idea why we kept jumping to Queen Elizabeth 1st and Alexander the Great Fanfiction? It wasn't needed and added nothing except one funny scene that didn't justify the pages it took up.
I was so excited for this book but honestly am not a fan of how Beckett and Will's relationship was teased in books 1 and 2 only for this to be an MFM. I absolutely do not mind MFM books but the whole 'im going to hold out on whether it's MMF or MFM didn't sit right with me.
Really interested to know whether this was sensitivity read.
Thankyou to LBB and Netgalley for an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

This review is for The Charlie Method by Elle Kennedy which will be released in the UK on the 25th February! Thanks so much to Netgalley and Piatkus for giving me an eArc copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
As we already know, I’m an Elle Kennedy fangirl so as soon I saw this was available to request, I screamed and jumped at the chance. Especially as it was hinted by Elle to be Will and Beckett’s book, and IYKYK.
As per usual with Kennedy books, I loved it. I had high expectations going into it, and it met every single one of them. Sometimes you just need a smutty, yet wholesome hockey romance to fill the void, and this hits the spot. I loved the variety of the characters, where we get to see old favourites yet some new ones that I fell in love with (I’m looking at you Faith). I also really liked the relationships built between the three main characters, and how all of their viewpoints felt distinct from one another. I feel most of the characters shown have so much emotional depth and you can get to see a focus on each of their own issues and subplots.
Even with some of the more emotional themes such as identity found in the book, I always love how Elle can add humour into it. Sometimes it is a little cringe, but you kinda love it all the same. I also love the way poly relationships were shown in the book as well, which is something I haven’t really read about before.
The Briar universe is one of go-to romance series, and tbh I don’t think I will ever get enough. There’s so many characters I want to see featured and so much more I red to find out about some of these background characters (pls Elle we need Hollis’s love story).
As per usual, would 100% recommend this to any romance readers out there, especially those that love hockey!

This was my first ARC of 2025, and what a great way to kick off the year!
I’ve never read a poly romance before, so I was excited to give this one a try. Plus, I’ve loved the previous books in this series, so picking this up was a no-brainer.
Charlie, a STEM student, constantly feels the pressure to be perfect. She meets Will and Beckett through a hookup app, and their relationship development was really well-paced. Since being with two guys at once is completely new to her, I appreciated that the story took time to build their connection before jumping into the spice. Speaking of which—this book brings the heat!
Each character had a fully fleshed-out backstory that added depth to the story. Charlie, who was adopted, is searching for her biological relatives. Will is struggling with the expectations of his controlling father, who wants him to follow in his footsteps. And then there’s Beckett, the Aussie with a secret that completely caught me off guard—seriously, my jaw dropped when it was revealed.
I really enjoyed the romance between all three of them. The dynamic was different from a traditional relationship, and I can definitely see the appeal. Their feelings for each other felt genuine, and it worked so well because they were open and honest about what they wanted from the start.
Overall, this was a fantastic read—I highly recommend it!

Firstly, thank you so much for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
I had been eagerly anticipating Charlie, Will and Beckett’s story from the moment it was announced and I did enjoy this book.
The writing was super addictive and fast paced however I was a bit disappointed to not find the same hockey romance vibes that were present in Elle Kennedy’s Off Campus series.
While I still enjoyed this book, it felt more similar to Elle’s other titles in my opinion, such as Girl Abroad or the Avalon Bay series, rather than the magical Off Campus hockey romance feel I was hoping for. This was largely due to the fact that hockey did not appear to be a huge focus in this book, as it was in The Graham Effect or The Deal, with other topics instead taking centre stage.
Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Elle Kennedy’s writing but is open to not necessarily reading a hockey-focused story! ☺️

um.... so many mixed feelings.
i think 4 or 4.5 stars but i have no idea
i love charlie, will and beckett and their relationship but i don't know if the execution is what put me off slightly. but it was genuinely so addictive and i didn't want to put it down and i was rooting for them so much so i literally don't know what to think. i feel like some of the side ploys were slightly unnecessary and just there to create drama and that if it focused on the relationship more, it would have been more enjoyable. i also slightly wish there was more focus on hockey itself, like some of elle kennedy's other books as it usually helps you to get to know the characters a bit more and their friendship dynamics. but overall i did really enjoy it!!!!!

Yes, I screamed when I got the acceptance for this arc. Yes, it was worth the wait to be back in Briar U. And yes, I screamed the entire way through reading The Charlie Method because Elle Kennedy has introduced an entire new spicy plot to hockey romance.
We’ve met Beckett and Will throughout the Campus Diaries, and now it's time to hear their story. Two hockey players with a unique friendship meet highly strung, people pleaser Charlotte. Except, the Charlotte people know, is not the Charlie that the boys come across on a dating website.
Charlie is part of a sorority, a budding scientist with high expectations of herself. Adopted, and trying to find more about her identity whilst juggling the requirements of sorority life and keeping up an image, Charlie finds ways to release her stress in... Other ways.
Life is boring and mundane. She’s taken a life changing jump in finding out more about her past and every one of her decisions is meticulously planned. So, when she comes across an account on an app that she uses regularly that advertises two very good-looking men with their faces hidden her interest is piqued.
The Charlie Method, a reliable theory that helps her to make rational decisions provides little reason for her to pursue the exciting opportunity of meeting two guys for the same purpose. That is until, the faceless men turn out to be closer to home than she initially thought.
Beckett and Will have a very strict arrangement that benefits them both. And after meeting Charlie, they become obsessed. Their main issue is convincing Charlie to stick around.
Kennedy has provided potentially the spiciest and deepest installment of her hockey series yet. Each character has their own complicated backstory that they navigate throughout. But the relationship itself, although unconventional, is unbelievably sweet and supportive.
It’s difficult to write this review without giving too much away, but the way it was written had my heart breaking for each of the characters personal journeys as well as vouching for them to take a chance on each other and give in to what they want and deserve.
How can you allow yourself to give in to what feels right, when the world will judge you?
I will never get bored of Briar U. Highly recommend for those looking for a spicy, unique hockey romance! I couldn’t give it 5 stars, purely because I have so many questions about Beckett and Will’s relationship. Other than that, perfect perfect perfect.
Thank you NetGalley and Little, Brown Book Group, UK for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

I love a Briar U book and this was one of the first poly books I believe! I like all three main characters, the Beckett plot twist got me!! 😭 I’m not sure about the development of some of the smaller plots but I’m glad Charlie, Will and Beckett got their why choose happy ending!

3.5⭐️
I had such high expectations for this book as I absolutely adored the first two books in this series that I gave them both five stars. This one did not quite live up to the other ones, but I still enjoyed reading it.
Getting all the cameos of other characters from this universe makes me so happy and getting to see Logan be protective of Blake I loved that. I would love more than anything to get books of the second gen.
The way you get snippets of Will and Beck in the other books I was expecting a good amount of spice and that part did not disappoint me one bit, it was STEAMYYY!
I felt like the hockey side of the book was lacking a bit as it was not that prominent in this and I wish there was a bit more.
I felt like the conflict at the end came out of nowhere and I was not the biggest fan of it.
I would recommend this book as I still had a fun time and I enjoyed this book.

I absolutely LOVED this, I think this is my fave Elle Kennedy book to date???? I was really unsure as to how this was going to play out after seeing glimpses of Will and Beckett in the previous two books but honestly this was perfect. I loved their friendship and I loved the way their personalities worked together to balance out with Charlie’s. I really loved Charlie, I loved seeing her grow to accept herself and stand up for her wants and needs. Also let me just say - THIS BOOK WAS HOT 🥵
This book covered some really interesting and tough topics and conflicts but I think they were all dealt with so well. Can’t believe our time at Briar U has ended 😩
Thank you to NetGalley and Little Brown Book Group UK for the gifted advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

Elle Kennedy is one of my favourite authors.
When The Charlie Method came up I was very unsure as I’m not one for a book about more than one love interest! However anything Elle Kennedy writes I read so I gave it a go and really enjoyed it!!
The way Charlie and her boys came together was fun and I found myself genuinely hoping it would all work out so they could all be together! They each had their own issues personally and it was nice to see them come together to help each other through them.
As always, it was great hearing about others from the previous books especially Dad chat!!
If you’re a fan of Elle Kennedy or Ice hockey romance this book is a must read!
Thank you to NetGalley for this Arc!

Elle Kennedy has been a must-buy author for me ever since I read The Deal, and I feel like the Campus Diaries series has been some of her best work yet. I've loved spending time with the next generation at Briar U, and have been eagerly awaiting Will and Beckett's story since we met them in The Graham Effect. So I had big expectations for The Charlie Method, but also a little bit of trepidation going in, partly due to this being a series ender and in part because it was centred around an unknown character as the third in Will and Beck's triumvirate-to-be.
I shouldn't have worried. Charlie (or Charlotte, depending on how you know her) was a delight: funny, smart and forthright, and a great foil to our two hockey players. I also loved her story: a transracial adoptee, she has grown up with a loving family but has questions about her origins and insecurities about how well she fits in with her 'perfect' siblings and parents despite her own academic focus and excellence. Meanwhile, Will is struggling to extricate himself from his overbearing dad and forge his own path, and Beckett is just trying to figure out what's next after college - and to carry on ignoring past hurts that have coloured his approach to relationships throughout his time at Briar.
Yes, there's sizzling chemistry between the three, and plenty of the spice you're looking for. But more than that, this is a deceptively reflective book about belonging and finding your purpose, themes which resonated with me deeply and which I felt were explored with substance as well as in style. It's tricky balancing three POV narratives, and inevitably there's a sense of wanting more (of everyone), but ultimately Kennedy has really stuck the landing and served the characters and their story well. All endings are bittersweet, and I'll miss this series, but this felt like a satisfying close to the Campus Diaries chapter.
And it wouldn't be a Briar U book without the whip-smart banter, the shenanigans on and off the ice, and the crowd-pleasing cameos from certain Dad-shaped alumni. And plenty of Coach Jensen - this time with a new assistant coach that OG EK fans will love.
This could be enjoyed as a standalone, but it's very much embedded within the Briar U-niverse in general, and as the closing instalment to the Campus Diaries series in particular, so is best enjoyed after reading its two predecessors, at least. And for long-time fans, it's a great excuse to circle back and re-read it all from the start... while hoping for more to come in the near future.
