MIA MIA MIA!!!! SIS!!! YOU DID IT AGAIN!

First I would like to say that I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

I just want to say that Mia Heintzelman is an automatic "buy" for me at this point. Every book I’ve read by her is beautifully written, featuring relatable characters and compelling conflicts. The emotional elements are thoughtfully developed, and every character serves a distinct purpose. It’s refreshing to read a love story between people of color that doesn't fall into stereotypes, where the families involved are successful, potentially including Fortune 500 business owners.

The main characters, Marcello and Holly, provide just the right amount of spice and banter, making sure their siblings and best friends don’t steal the spotlight. Both characters have family situations to navigate, and their families are always at the forefront of their decision-making, reflecting the value and pride they hold for their loved ones. The way they refer back to and seek wisdom from the elders around them is beautifully portrayed.

Mia is an author you can’t miss in the romance genre. I’m finishing this book feeling completely fulfilled—there are no loose ends or cliffhangers, just a solid story overall.

Thank you to NetGalley, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, Tule Publishing, and Mia Heintzelman for the ARC of this amazing book.

Quick, steamy, & adoring! This book catches you immediately! Age gap (she’s older), found family, and he falls first. Loved this book.

This was very cute!

I have not read the others in the Fortemani family series - though now I want to - but did not feel lost. This absolutely stands alone!

I loved Holly’s ambition and drive (and home in Italy). I loved how determined Marcello was to shake the “Baby” nickname.
They have great chemistry, I enjoyed them together so much.

Things did go a bit zero-to-fifty in the middle and that felt abrupt. I also wish there was more resolution on some of their obstacles as a couple, not including age. But children, etc, as it was a topic of conversation for them both.

Thank you to Tule Publishing and NetGalley for the eARC!

Hey, hey my favorites 😁 💚

⭐⭐⭐ (3/5 stars)

One Night Crush offers a fun, lighthearted premise with the promise of romance and intrigue. The chemistry between the two main characters is evident from the start, and their initial connection provides a promising foundation. However, the story ultimately lacks the depth I was hoping for, with predictable plot twists and character development that feels somewhat underexplored. While the book is enjoyable enough for a quick, easy read, it doesn’t quite evoke the emotional impact I was hoping for.

Overall, it’s a solid choice for readers seeking a casual romance, but it might not leave a lasting impression.

This book started out with the cutest set up and meet cute, and kept up the heat until the last page! It’s an age gap romance between the youngest son of the Forte, ani family and the girl next door who used to be his babysitter. A lot of it takes place in Tuscany so the setting was super dreamy. I wanted a little more development of their relationship before the love declarations but overall this was another great story from Mia!

I voluntarily read a gifted copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Unfortunately this book didn’t really hit for me. The premise was good and it was excited for a strong older woman younger man age gap but instead found myself exhausted by both of them. The spice was hot but the tension was lacking.

I haven’t read any of the previous books in the series which could well have worked against me, perhaps I would have felt more committed to the characters.
I may eventually go back and start from the beginning to see if it changes my opinion.

As it stands it’s a solid 3 for me with good plot but lacking characters.
