Absolutely loved this mystery thriller!! It had me hooked the entire way through with a lot of suspense. No bigger nightmare than your teenage daughter gone missing…and then another. From the start we’re met with a murder in the carpark and I just devoured the rest of the book. The killer was creepy and one of those that gives you goosebumps because they’re hidden in plain sight. I love when investigators go against orders and will stop at nothing. Which is exactly what Katie did. There are some brutal murders in this book and I did find the ending slightly predictable. However, overall having not read previous books in this series I felt it was a great standalone I would recommend to friends and family. Thank you NetGalley!

Detective Katie Scott is putting her life back together after her fiancé left her and has thrown herself into work. While giving a presentation at a conference out of town, she is confronted by a woman whose daughter is missing and demands that Katie find her. When the mother turns up stabbed to death in a parking garage, Katie and her partner begin the search for the missing daughter, which will lead them to the murderer. When another girl goes missing and a body is found in a burned house, the cases start to build as does the pressure to find the murderer. It's an exciting investigation and leaves Katie wondering what is next for her personal life.

My thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Find My Daughter’, book 13 of the Detective Katie Scott series written by Jennifer Chase, in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Detective Katie Scott is asked by Stella Broxton why they haven’t found her missing teenage daughter Anna. Minutes later Stella is stabbed in a parking garage as dies in Katie’s arms with her last words to Katie being to find the ‘million-dollar man’. As Katie and her partner Detective Sean McGaven from the Pine Valley Cold Case Unit start searching, they discover Anna’s body wearing a yellow dress and left in the cellar of a burnt-out house. Soon after, Anna’s best friend Jasmine MacAfee disappears and Katie fears that the killer has taken a second victim.

‘Find My Daughter’ is another fast-paced thriller in the series that keeps getting better and better as Detectives Katie Scott and Sean McGaven, with the help of Katie’s ex-military K9 Cisco, go in search of a violent psychopath. This is a gripping, unpredictable, and thoroughly entertaining thriller as Katie gets used to being without her ex-fiance Chad who’s moved away, and the arrival of Detective Evan Daniels from the Sacramento Police Department, an old acquaintance of Katie’s with whom she’s working this case and who she feels an attraction to. This has been an incredible rollercoaster of a thriller that contains suspense, drama and nail-biting twists, as Katie puts her life on the line in order to save that of McGaven, and with an ominous cliff-hanging conclusion that could be a threat to Katie.

Speed reading through this book had me breaking out in a cold sweat as a I breathlessly awaited the conclusion never dreaming of the conclusion, which knocked my socks off.

A young girl has been missing, and her mother is desperate to find her. Her final dying words to Katie are to "find the million dollar man". If you have read any of this series, you know that there has never been a challenge that Katie will not accept. Now another girl is missing which just speeds up the timeline for solving this mystery.

This brutal killer is a chameleon who could be anyone and be anywhere, which makes it even creepier - a killer who hides in plain sight. The darkness of this individual's mind gave me goosebumps. I could feel the tension oozing out of the pages as Katie and Gav raced to outwit this vicious, yet highly intelligent killer. It was a chess game of sorts. The only saving grace for the victims is that the killer did not count on the ferocious tenacity with which Katie attacks solving crimes and fighting for victims. It was just a question of when would the hunter become the prey.

The characters in this series are electric and easy to like. Cisco, Katie's retired MWD, is one of my favorites. Everyone loves a good dog, but a working dog (or should I say hero) takes the cake. Jennifer Chase knows how to reel you in and keep you wanting for more. I accused everyone at some point as I tried to solve this mystery.

If you can handle the pressure and goosebumps, you will not want to miss this one.

Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

When Detective Katie Scott is approached by a smartly dressed woman with desperation in her eyes, Katie’s senses go into high alert. Moments later, questions still buzzing through her mind, Katie finds the woman dead in the carpark, blood pooling around her, and just enough life left to utter the words: find my daughter. Katie doesn’t waste a second gathering her team and pulling the casefile for Anna Braxton, a teen with sparkling blue-eyes and an even brighter future, who left to meet her best friend in the mall, then disappeared. Staring at the blank investigation board, Katie won’t rest until she fulfils Anna’s mother’s dying wish.

Scouring the Braxton’s impeccable family home, Katie finds Anna’s journal, filled with teenage secrets and confessions. But it’s the one-off mention of an approach from a talent agency that catches Katie’s expert eye. She gets to work tracking the business down, but it’s a dead end. And now Anna’s best friend is also missing. The case takes another terrifying turn just hours later: a girl’s body is found in the embers of a housefire, her yellow satin dress devastatingly beautiful amongst the ashes. Is it Anna, her best friend, or another girl?

Mommas beware. Dads, too. 🙂 This is a phenomenal book. Fast paced, gripping. When kids are involved, I get super invested in a story. This was, like all the others in this series, very well done. Highly recommended!

I've read quite a few of the detective Katie series. But I definitely need to go and fill in the gaps as it's always a welcome return. And ok, I'm certainly thinking from now on detectives need a dog as a rule. How can we make that happen as Cisco is brilliant? And Gav and her fellow team have no a special place in my book detective heart. Although this being boom 13 I do sometimes fear they'll soon finish!
This time Katie is extra involved. She also has more determination to find the killer as she had personal contact with one of the mothers...who was then killed. Then another teen goes missing.
The story amps itself up with each lead and dead end. They know they will carry on killing. More bodies will be found, so they need to find out more, find the killer now.
This was a great crime thriller. It's always great when a crime thriller hits the spot because the detectives are great and you start to get to know them, and so have a steak in the game for them and therefore the story.

Another gripping installment in the Detective Katie Scott series. I have read every book in this series. Each time I get totally engrossed in the storyline.
A missing teen has Katie scrambling to find answers as to what happened. Then, another teen goes missing. Is there a connection?
Katie, Gav and her team track down a few leads that seem promising. But, they seem to just hit dead ends each time.
Cisco, Katies dog, is always a nice addition to this fast paced story.
As with other series that go on and on….I feel that there is a point where the series just has to end. I am starting to get this feeling with the Detective Katie Scott series.
Overall, a fast-paced, thriller suspense is always delivered by author Jennifer Chase. Definitely a series I recommend to family and friends. I do recommend reading the series in order. There is so much back story to know about the characters.

Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Not a bad read but I can’t put my finger on why this series just doesn’t hit the mark. I keep reading thinking it’s going to turn. I am a big fan of Cisco. And I love Gav, there’s just something about Katie that tweaks me.

Great addition to a great series! I am always excited to read a Katie Scott book. This one did not disappoint. As a matter of fact, I think it might have been my favorite one. Great story. Great characters. It was a whole new side to Katie - vulnerable and yet still strong and determined. I can't wait to see what the future holds for her and Cisco.

Definitely recommend reading this series in order.

Thank you #netgalley and #bookouture for the eARC.

This is a particularly harrowing case for Katie Scott. Not only is she tasked with tracking down the man who has been murdering teenage girls but now the mother of a missing girl has been murdered. And Katie doesn't believe in coincidences. This is a fast paced read with plenty of tense moments. It had me gripped from the very first page and knew then and there that this was a book to be read in one sitting. While this is part of a series of books it can be read as a stand alone story. However I would be very surprised if a first time reader of the author's work didn't go on to look up the rest of the series.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book

Det Katie Scott is on the hunt for a young girl's killer.
A woman is killed right after approaching Katie at a seminar
she is presenting and dies asking Katie to find her daughter.
After the woman dies in the parking garage from a gunshot,c wound, Katie takes
on the job of trying to discover what happened to the woman's teen daughter.
And suddenly, it appears there is possibly a serial killer on the loose.
Suspenseful, intriguing and very addictive, making it a genuine hard to put down read.
Characters are very easily relatable and very interesting.
Good read for sure.

Welcome home. That is how it feels when I get my hands on the next book in a great series with a cast of characters you love, and this installment is no different as we are emersed in the characters' lives that are changing, evolving. Pulled in from the beginning and the closer they come to finding where the killer may be hiding, the more gripping and edge of your seat reading it becomes.

In Find My Daughter, there is action from the very start when Katie is presenting at a conference and approached by a woman asking her to find her daughter who has gone missing, but shortly after speaking the woman is killed in the car park. As they chase down the killer, trying to come up with a profile of a man referred to as the Million Dollar Man, who has many disguises and MO’s, both Katie and Gav find themselves in danger, and Katie will go against orders, risk everything, including her career to catch this killer before it’s too late for someone very near and dear.

This book we have a newcomer to the team, a new fire investigator who Katie and Gav meet when they head to the scene of a house fire where their missing teenager has been found. It might take a little longer for them to warm up to him. Detective Daniels is also back on the scene, teaming up with Katie and Gav on this latest case as it crosses jurisdictions.

Jennifer Chase is a new author for me and this book Find My Daughter was exceptional! The main characters Detective Katie Scott and her partner McGavin were well developed along with the rest of her team. Suspense, plenty of action and mystery makes a good read and difficult to put down!

I am a big fan of this series all amazing reads, Detective Katie Scott is giving a talk at a conference. at the end a woman comes up to her and says find my daughter.as Katie goes to her car she hears a nose and finds the woman who confronted her dead. Katie and her partner look into the missing girl. but sadly, she is found dead in a burnt down house. and then the dead girls' best friend goes missing. a very intense read as the killer is clever. but not as clever as Katie and her partner oh and not forget Cisco, so recommend this series

Another propulsive and gripping addition to the Detective Katie Scott series! I’ve been a long time fan, and this one was no exception!

The team dynamics in this series are exceptional, I truly love the partnerships, the trust, and the family they’ve built over each book. Cisco, Katie’s German Shepard, is probably one of my top favorite parts about these books, he’s such a fun and unique addition to each case and storyline. I’m hoping in the next book, Katie can find some peace and move forward more in her personal life.

This book gripped me right from the get go, and man, that last 20% was wild! Chase knows how to write a really intense finale showdown, and she never ceases to surprise me! My ONLY complaint is how repetitive the backstory has started to get in explaining each character and situation. I’m sure it’s great for those that are jumping into the series now instead of from the beginning, but as a long time fan I have had to start skimming some of those parts to move along the current timeline and plot.

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for my ARC in exchange for my honest feedback!

I would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review. I am a big fan of this series and even 13 books in it still does not disappoint. This time we follow Katie, Gavin and the crew trying to find out about a missing teenage girl after her mother comes to them distraught that nothing has been done. When the girl's friend goes missing as well, it is up to Katie to find out who this "Million dollar man" is and what else has he been up to. This story kept my interest from start to finish and it did not disappoint.
