The Nanny Share by Emily Shiner tells the story of two little girls who suddenly go missing from separate homes. The common denominator in the two cases is the girls' shared nanny, Julie, a woman who seems to have plenty of secrets, but does she have a motive?

I always enjoy this author's superbly executed, suspenseful narratives, and this latest was no exception. Told from multiple POVs, you will be kept guessing until the final explosive twist.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for an ARC.

I absolutely LOVE Emily Shiner books. The Nanny Share completely lived up to expectations. Two young girls go missing…what do they have in common? The same nanny…. But there are more dark secrets hidden in the homes of their rich families. What will it take to bring them home safely?

Emily never disappoints with the stories she weaves, the characters are written so well and I get lost in the drama. I wasn’t expecting the twists and turns here either! Highly recommend as a non gory, edge of your seat thriller!

This was a great story! It follows the POV of several people, and I had no idea which direction it would end up going. The story has great twists and turns, and an ending I wasn't expecting! Overall I enjoyed this book, and I love this author!

I did not see the twist at the end coming!

This was a brilliant book, a little bit slow in the beginning, but interesting enough to keep you hooked and around 30% of the way through you will not want to put the book down.

p.s. Ryan and Carrie were some seriously horrible people and I am a little bit resentful that they got their happy ending when the others didn't, but it is actually slightly more realistic that way because sometimes in life, the bad guys win.

This book was well written and had me on the edge of my seat more times than I can count. I was terrified for those poor little girls the entire time! While the beginning felt a little slow, once the story picked up, I couldn’t put it down. I also loved the multiple POVs. I found it really added depth to the story. The twists and turns were chaotic in the best way possible, and I enjoyed every messy second of it. Huge thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

First, a huge thanks to Emily Shiner and her team for allowing me to read this ARCA.

It's my first from her, and it won't be the last. This book takes a different approach to twisting and turning the story, right up to the end. Without giving away spoilers, this is not your average kid goes missing story. I highly encourage everyone to read it.

Thank you; Bookouture & NetGalley for this ARC ebook by Emily Shiner.

Release date set for: February 21, 2025

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - When 2 little girls, who live on the same block, in a gated community, who have the same nanny go missing on the same day is just horrifying!

The story is told from different POVs (both girls moms, the nanny & the police detective). The transition from one to another was flawless.

This book hooked me right from the first chapter. I couldnt put it down because I just HAD to know what was going to happen.

The author Emily Shiner did it again with this one. With lots of twists, secrets & suspense, The Nanny Share is a "must-read" domestic thriller.

Once again, thank you @NetGalley! for the opportunity to read this advanced copy.

I requested this book because of the description and title (I used to be a nanny for a nanny share), so I was intrigued. This book is told from multiple point-of-views. The storyline is gripping and held my interest the entire time. The were so many twists and every time I thought I had it figured out, I learned that I surely didn’t have it figured out! This was my first Emily Shiner book and won’t be my last; I’m officially a fan!

I’m happy to report that none of this happened during my nanny share experience! Haha.

From the very start, the author drops plenty of hints that get my mind working to piece everything together. I find myself eagerly flipping through the pages, trying to figure out what’s going on. Then, just when I think I've got it all sorted out—around 80% into the book—the author adds more details that make me question everything I thought I knew, leaving me even more bewildered.

As I approached the end, I felt the story pick up speed, and I found myself sitting up, fully engaged in the journey.

Overall, I really enjoyed the read. There were so many twists, but in the end, everything made sense!

So many unexpected twists. Secrets and shocking revelations just continually come spilling out! This was a very entertaining and twisty thriller! I felt like I couldn’t trust any of the characters and that just added to my enjoyment of the story. Be prepared for intense moments and unpredictable twists. I never could have guessed how everything would fit together in such a shocking way! Well worth the read!

This book had an intriguing premise but all of the characters were so unlikeable. Those poor little girls in the story were being taken care of by really awful humans. The story moved at a fast pace but I just couldn't bring myself to care about any of the characters, except the little girls. And we never really knew much about them, so it was hard to really get involved in the story. The ending was convoluted and just too much.

There is a lot to unpack and digest in this novel. It starts with a bang and doesn't let up. I relly enjoyed it and set out to read a few chapters a day, boy was I wrong! I just kept wanting to read it, it's that good! Full of twists and turns, it really kept my attention and I raced through it. Fabulous read.

When you read a book, the author provides you with lots of info to get you started and that's when your brain starts to do overtime. You want to try and find out what is really going on. Of course it's impossible to piece everything together and so the author decides to give some more details to help you, but often this makes you start doubting what you thought you knew and it makes you even more confused.

The only thing there is left to do, is to read on and on until you finally see the light.

And that's exactly what I did. I decided who I wanted to believe and those I suspected. Did I pick the right ones or did I pick them for the right reasons? One thing is for sure. People are very good in hiding things and someone has been a very busy person. They thought they were invincible, but it all came back to bite them in the behind. When they thought they had everything under control, it seemed like they had to think again.

Very enjoyable read with lots of surprises which I adore. 5 stars

Thank you

The Nanny Share wasn't for me. Giving it 5-star to avoid messing up my feedback ratio. I was extremely confused as I was reading this book because the story didn't match the reviews posted online. The jaw dropping prologue everyone is talking about? a girl falls from her swing and her nanny helps her get back up. Imagine my face going back and forth the book's pages, thinking I must've accidentally read a random chapter instead of the prologue or perhaps downloaded the wrong book. I really don't know what's going on here, but 'something smells rotten' to me personally (just my opinion)

As for the story itself, it's told from numerous POVs (I counted four) which is fine if you're into that kind of structure. I think objectively speaking the story is well-written and the characters well developed. You have to be masterfully skilled to keep momentum going with so many POVs and characters.

Personally, I'd say this is a solid 'domestic noir' type of book. I feel like adding the nanny to the story was a great idea, and does offer a unique angle to this type of narrative. If you like books about marriages then I'd say you'll love this book.

I found this book a little bit slow to start however it sure did catch up and had me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what twist was going to be next. Highly enjoyable.

Emily Shiner roped me in!
This book takes you down a world wind of twists and turns. Everytime you think you’ve figured it out something changes and you’re questioning yourself again.
The storyline is fantastic.

Truly a great read.
Is a shared Nanny to blame?
Where are the girls?
Who did it?
Is the family dispute to blame?

Definitely pick up this book to find out.
Highly recommend.

Talk about grabbing the reader's attention... The prologue was definitely an attention grabber, and the rest of the book didn't disappoint!

Two little girls go missing from their homes on the same day, around the same time, from the same neighborhood. Both girls have the same nanny; Julie.

The story is told from several different points of view:
Carrie, Emma's mom.
Alison, Nealie's mom.
Julie, the nanny of both missing girls.
Kate, a police officer assigned to both cases.

Oh, the tangled webs we weave! It seems as though all of the characters are intertwined, each of them with their own secrets to keep.

Reading this book made me lose a lot of sleep... it was soooo good that I just couldn't put it down. Homerun!

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion/review.
