Want something new and engaging to read? This book is it! I couldn't put it down! The concept is excellent, the story moves along, and the characters are well defined. Would read this one again!

A long-standing brewery in Ohio is struggling to stay afloat. Creston Gold used to be a brand that everyone reached for. Now, Allie Bauer is barely able to make ends meet.

Shelly Griffin meets the woman and decides to write a story to help boost sales. Her father wants to publish the story of the declining brewery and encourages his daughter to pursue the project.

How can a person increase sales rapidly? Shelly decides that a regional music venue will do the trick and the musicians need to be local. She sets out to find the members of a band her mother loved called Decapede.

Two young and very talented musicians from that band have serious talent competitions and both had a real attraction to Sherry’s mother, Beverly! Can the band be resurrected? The story develops as a herculean effort to put the two back together again!

Takes a while to get into and might be over long but interest mounts as the storyline progresses. 4.5 stars – CE Williams

I really enjoyed the lighthearted narrative of this one! Music fiction is one of my favorite genres, so it was wonderful to see a new take on the growing genre.

This book captures that sense of how music, and other arts, can be so immersive and compelling and almost defining in a person’s life. The idea of music and how it can influence your life and your sense of self is core to the plot. At times quite funny, the writing style is modern in feeling and I really enjoyed the journey of the protagonist through the events of the book.

Amazing character building and believable storyline - some unexpected twists but full of warmth and hope.
Would be fantastic on the big screen, especially with all the music (if it exists)!

Fun read. I don't think I've read a book similar to this before and it was refreshing to read a unique story.
