This is my first time reading a Patricia Evans book, if all her other are half as good as this one then boy I'm in for a treat.

I loved everything about this book, Devri and Shiv are great characters, the chemistry between the two works well.

This is a story, two women are from different country's, with different background, different views and needs. Its a real page turner to find out how they deal with these differences.

The added bonus is the details PE has written about Ireland, so much I fell in love with Ireland and makes me want to visit this quaint village.

I enjoyed this story very much. It was a combination of a romance, real estate investment scheme and travel log.
I know that may not sound like a usual combo but it works nicely.
The travel log part was interesting and warm. It helped the reader understand why Devri (one of the main characters) warmed to this village, the people and Ireland.
The Real estate investment part was cute the way the 2 main characters work together.
And that leads to the romance. Very predictable but very sweet and warm.
My only complaint...not really a complaint...but there was very little description for Shiv. All I know is she was strong, looked like a man and wore a fedora. At one point Devri, during a passionate scene, she thinks to herself that Shiv is beautiful. But no description to back that up. Just many instances of others assuming she was a man. Did I miss something?
Oh well, you will love Shiv anyway.
Also, I had to look up the title "Trustfall". I'm not quite sure how it works with the story.
Because of those 2 points I consider it a 4.5 star.
I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest review

Devri Cahn is feeling restless in the family business and in need of a break. She goes to Ireland to sign a new designer and stumbles upon an opportunity to purchase coastal land and cottages. The plan was to get in quickly, fix them up and flip them, turning a nice profit. But she quickly learns that she is out of her depth as locals aren’t interested in working for the American. Siobhan Byrne lost the bid on the cottages. She has been flipping smaller places in Dublin but this was going to be the deal to take her to bigger projects. She takes the loss so well that Devri comes to her with a new offer. Help her fix up the cottages and Devri will give her the chance to purchase first.

This is a book that makes you want to go to Ireland. The food, scenery and even the language is descriptive and inviting. I think the least interesting part of the story is the actual fixing up of the cottages, but that gives the pair time to get to know one another. I would have enjoyed a little more conversation about the resolution but was happy where everything ends. I’ve read and enjoyed several books by the author over the last few months and will continue to look for future books. (4.5 Stars)

Shiv (Siobhan) Byrne and Devri Cahn are in Ireland for separate reasons. Devri is there to conclude a deal for her father, while Shiv is interested in developing land in her small town. However, Devri ends up out there too, and is also interested in the cottages.

(I'm torn. On one hand I support Devri trying to preserve the cottages, on the other Shiv is a local and maybe should be allowed to profit on this.)

Devri wins the auction for the cottages, but soon discovers getting local help to fix them up is impossible. So she offers Shiv the job, in exchange for a chance to buy the restored buildings at market value.

Bit contrived in some of the plot bits, like Devri winning the buildings on a technicality, and the 'no one will work for a american' stuff. The romance mostly worked, tho the third act breakup is triggered by lack of communication. Annoying.

Really good book. This was a very well written story and the setting in Ireland was the icing on the cake. The main characters were well written, and I liked both main characters. The relationship between the main characters was very sexy and romantic. The support characters were written well and helped to make this an even better read. There's some angst and a bit of drama, but nothing that bogged this story down. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends and family and I look forward to what's next from this author.

Great start and I love the relationship with Dev and her father.
I am really involved in this book. I like the set up with both mains and the plot twists are keeping the non romance plot interesting!
The novel I hope is on commission from the Irish tourist board and culinary council!!
Well. There has to be tension in the relationship, or the book sags. It was like watching a tennis match and I didn't know what way it would go..... I knew final destination but the route kept me guessing. I adored Dev’s mums role! This book was a solid 4, 4.5 most of the way through but the end has it rounded up to 5.

Devri Cahn is poised on the knife edge of getting everything she’s always wanted: an enviable rental empire in Brooklyn, guaranteed top-tier income, and elevated social status in the cutthroat world of the NYC lesbian elite. It’s finally all at her fingertips, so why does she want to leave it all behind?

Siobhan Byrne has returned to her tiny rural fishing village on the southern coast of Ireland with one goal: to buy the rundown cottages by the sea and turn them into slick, modern holiday rentals. After university in Dublin and some real-world experience, she’s determined to reach her goal of marketing Ireland’s undeniable pull to rich American tourists. It’s about time Ireland stepped into the twenty-first century, and she’s the woman for the job, especially if she gets filthy rich doing it.

Emotional and raw. Beautiful story about the uncertainties of life and taking risks, and the beauty of love. Highly recommended! 5⭐

Patricia Evans gives us another brilliant novel. I am sad to learn this will be the last book for a while. I have been addicted to the books they have graced us with over the past few couple of months, so much so that I have purchased the entire backlog.

Trustfall had excellent chemistry between the MCs, and I enjoyed how their bond grew over time. The characters are wonderfully created and enjoy how they both grew.

The angst was understandable. It was quickly resolved.

I have minor issues regarding the resolution. I would have appreciated a little more conversation regarding the MCs' past to explain their reaction, but it was not necessary.

I will look out for this authors work if she returns to writing.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the Publisher via Netgalley and voluntarily leaving my review.

Devri is very tired and restless she has everything she ever wanted but she doesn’t know if that’s the right direction she wants in life. She goes to Ireland for last business meeting and gets opportunity to flip some cottages that fallen in her lap. Shioban (Shiv) has return from much needed experiences and has her eyes on the same cottages and wants to turn them into modern rentals and bring Ireland on the map as the place to be. This was a good sexy slow burn romance as both characters realizes what they needed was right in front of them.

I liked the fact that the story was mainly played out in Ireland, a kind of dream place to go for me. The love story between Dev and Shiv was believable and sweet, but I would have loved if we could have more of their very interesting backstories and love story and less of the renovation work on the cabins Dev purchased. Now I got a bit bored at times, but overall a nice story.

Another winner by Evans. Plus I'm a sucker for any book set in Ireland. Evans excels again with her wonderful descriptions of nature and the authentic setting, down to the people, the pub, the language and the Irish setting.

This a wonderful romance which has all the Irish charm. Devri, heir to her father‘s retail store in New York who takes a much needed break: One last business meeting brings her to Ireland and a tiny fishing town. An opportunity to buy and flip cottages by the sea falls into her lap - and with it Shioban (Shiv) who also had her eyes on the property.

The story develops slowly so would definitely be a slow burn romance, but it helps you understand the MC's motivations better and better over time. It's a very authentic story that burrows into your heart and doesn't let go till long after the book is finished.

I have read many books by this author, and have yet to be disappointed. The MC’s were well developed, and I found their relationship to be very loving, and sexy as well. I liked the descriptions of the different areas, and I almost felt I was in Ireland. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Patricia Evans’ Trustfall is a deeply relatable and emotionally charged romance that explores the uncertainties of love, personal growth, and taking risks when life feels stagnant. With compelling characters and an engaging narrative, this novel resonates particularly with women navigating the complexities of relationships, identity, and the fear of the unknown.

The story follows two protagonists who find themselves at a crossroads, yearning for something more yet unsure of how to grasp it. Evans masterfully captures the internal struggles of self-doubt, longing, and hesitation that many experience when stepping outside their comfort zones. As the characters navigate their desires and fears, readers will find themselves drawn into their journey, experiencing every moment of vulnerability, passion, and transformation alongside them.

What makes Trustfall stand out is its authenticity. The emotions are raw, the conflicts are genuine, and the resolution is both satisfying and realistic. Evans’ writing is immersive, making it easy to connect with the characters’ struggles and triumphs. The romance is heartfelt yet nuanced, striking a balance between emotional depth and uplifting hope.

Ultimately, Trustfall is more than just a love story—it’s a narrative about taking chances, embracing change, and trusting oneself in the face of uncertainty. It’s a beautifully written, thought-provoking novel that will linger in readers’ minds long after they turn the final page.

I have read most of Patricia Evans’ books and Trustfall is my new favorite. The book features Devri Cahn, who is burned out from her Manhattan career working for her family’s department store. She has some final family business in Ireland and then will be taking a year off from work. However, when she arrives in Ireland she spots a sexy masc, Siobhan (Shiv) Byrne (Shiv), in a tiny rural fishing village pub on the southern coast of Ireland. The next day they will vie to become owners of some historic cottages along the coast via a live auction. The book tells the story of what transpires for both women personally and professionally following the auction.

Like other Patricia Evans books, the writing was excellent and the characters were well developed including their backstory which reflected why they did certain things. The sexy scenes sizzled in the dark, rainy nights of the Irish coast. Finally, Evans’ descriptions of the people, their language/accent, the coast, the weather, and the food was outstanding and makes the reader want to travel to the location.

A book that impresses with the rugged charm and the lovely language of the Irish and the rugged beauty of their country.
The story develops slowly and you understand the MC's motivations better and better over time.
Shiv in particular, even if they have a certain reputation, remains a bit of a mystery for a long time.
Devri has her own reasons for leaving America to do business in Ireland for her father and their family business. She has been feeling wrong in New York for a while and feels like she is suffocating.
In Ireland she seems to be able to breathe freely again for the first time and spontaneously decides to stay longer and invest. She didn't expect Shiv and Shiv didn't expect her!
It's a slow-burn romance and the story itself develops very slowly. A slightly different story and romance, but still beautiful.
I already wrote in a review of a book by Patricia Evans that I really like the development and sensual approach of her characters!
It is once again wonderful and of course hot!
She writes very attractive characters in all colors of the rainbow!
Thanks so much to the Author and Bold Strokes Books for this Arc. This is my honest opinion and review.

The siren song of Ireland: sexy f/f romance
This a wonderful sexy romance which has all the Irish charm. Devri, heir to her father‘s retail store and fast-paced New Yorker takes a much needed break: she is restless and wants to find her direction. One last business meeting brings her to Ireland and a tiny fishing town. An opportunity to buy and flip cottages by the sea falls into her lap - and with it Shioban (Shiv) who also had her eyes on the property.
This was a delightful romance with a full Irish serving - the people, the pub, the wake, the language … And of course it was fun to have a New Yorker finding her way in this foreign maze. There is chemistry and heart. I so loved the butch/femme dynamic between Dev and Shiv. The backstory of Dev‘s brother‘s new found love and its deeper meaning for the family dynamics added even more depth.
Evans excels again with her wonderful descriptions of nature and the authentic setting.
