This felt like a very real and vivid depiction of the time. Told in dual pov about an event that cpuld and does rock a whole village. The scenes are set brilliantly and the story had enough depth to really capture the atmosphere.
I've not read many books with this as the.subject matter and the fauklands descriptions was brutal.
I appreciate books like this where even though it's fiction, I still feel like I'm learning. Or will learn as I often go to Google to find out more.
I thought the teenage point of view was a brilliant idea.

I loved the plot as soon as I started reading and it’s exactly my kind of book. However it seemed to lose its way around the half way point and the very real and well described drama of the start of the book was watered down to nothing. Almost as though there was just too much story to absorb.
