I really enjoyed reading this book. This is the first time I have read anything by Jody Fasanella and Sandi Jerome, and I was not disappointed. The characters and story line of this book were so well done. This was such a compelling story that I was hooked from the beginning. The theme of family with a setting of Pre-WWII in the infamous NY Five Points made for an gripping story. I found the twist to keep me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait to read more from these author. I definitely recommend this book.
Thank you Net Galley, Little Studio Films, Jody Fasanella, and Sandi Jerome

Mama Dallas and Augie is a riveting saga that weaves together the grit of New York’s Five Points, the dark shadows of the pre-WWII underworld, and the unbreakable bonds of family. Following Concetta, a fierce protector turned "Godmother," and her son Augie, a charming spy navigating treacherous paths, the story brims with love, betrayal, and resilience. I couldn’t put it down because every chapter felt like peeling back layers of an incredible true story—it was immersive, emotional, and packed with heart-stopping twists. If you love family epics and historical drama, this book will hook you from the start.

OMG, Mama Dallas and Augie is like The Godfather met James Bond and sprinkled in some hardcore family feels. Concetta is the ultimate boss—protecting her people and owning her world—while Augie is out there being a charming rascal, dodging bad guys and making you cheer for him even when you know he’s in too deep. This story has EVERYTHING: spies, gangsters, epic mom energy, and moments that had me legit yelling, “NO WAY!” Do yourself a favor and dive in—you’ll feel like you’re living history. 🕶️🍝💣
