@netgalley thank you so much for the ARC ❤️!

As a reader who hasn’t read the other books i’m telling you, you don’t need to in order to dive into this story. We follow an enemies to lovers trope, this is one of my favorite banters! I have to admit that i really enjoyed this story, i loved seeing Sloane’s and Max’s relationship development and evolution. I honestly thought Max’s reaction in the past shouldn’t have been what it was, but I really loved how he finally admitted his true feelings and showed her his love instead of just saying words. Sloane is just a great auntie to Ivy, i’m so happy they were able to meet Ivy’s biological relatives. This story was so cute and enjoyable

This is the third book in the Sons of Scandal series by Becky Wade. It is a kisses only romance and a standalone story for the most part, but this series does have some ongoing plot thread that start in the first book and finish in this one. For the most enjoyment, read them in order.

Sloane and Max have the best banter! I loved them together. I learned some etiquette lessons from Sloane that I probably will never forget! Max is such a charmer! How could you not love him?

I also enjoyed seeing the brothers and other family members from previous books. Resolutions all around! It was very satisfying. The e-book does contain some information in the acknowledgements section about an item from the book that isn't read in the audio. That is my own pet peeve about audio. I wish it would include all content from print books.

I was given the opportunity to read and listen to an advanced copy of this book by the author through Netgalley. Many thanks to both. I am happy to leave an honest review.

What a fantastic conclusion to the Sons of Scandal series! It was so fun to finally get to hear Max’s story. I loved learning about Max and Sloane’s history and seeing them work through the hurts that they had caused each other.

Max sneakily worked out a way to have Sloane and her niece Ivy living in his garage apartment for the summer. His plan was to force her into a situation where he could get closure. What he wasn’t expecting was to find that he had possibly caused as much hurt to her as she had to him. Both characters had pain in their past to overcome, to forgive and find joy again. It was sweet to see them work through their issues all while helping Ivy who was on her own journey.

So many fun characters, new to the series and ones who have been around for the other books. A sweet fun read just in time for Valentines Day.

My oh my! Uneasy Street was just absolutely wonderful. After getting off to a strong reading start to the year in January, I really hit a reading slump at the beginning of February. I truly think it impacted how fast I read this book because I feel like I would have devoured it much faster without the slump. As I was finally coming out of the slump, I started to fly through the pages!

So I’ve been reading this series from the beginning as they’ve been released and I thought Jude’s book would be my favorite but dang Max’s book came out swinging! Like whoa. AH! The chemistry between Max and Sloane. At first, I was really unsure of how I was going to feel about their relationship because there were some pretty big mistakes made on either side (with Max arguably making the biggest bonehead move I’ve seen in a while) and I was like yeesh, how is this ever going to transition to something swoon worthy? So if you start off feeling that way, never fear! You certainly get there! Have I gushed enough? Probably not to be honest.

There were several twists and turns throughout the story that really helped to keep it interesting, which is truthfully something I can say about the whole series. That part with Fiona’s family during the eclipse, I literally stopped to give my husband a quick run down of the series just so I could tell him about the monumental moment that was happening right at that moment in this current book! I will keep it vague for no spoilers but oh my word, I teared up a bit! Then the part with Ivy towards the end, I felt the sting of those tears building back up. And the ending. Sloane really needing to dig into the lies of her being unlovable. Gosh. All the feels. I highly recommend this book!

Ever since I finished Uneasy Street, I’ve been in a book hangover. Or maybe it’s a series hangover, because this was the perfect, perfect way to bring this delightful series to an end. Becky Wade has long been a trusted, go-to author for me. Her writing is clever and fun, while also being full of depth and faith. The unique background and sizzling dynamic between Sloane and Max had me devouring this book and also dreading it coming to an end. As soon as I finished, I consoled myself with the fact that I still had the audiobook to enjoy. Yay!

Once upon a time, Max Cirillo and Sloane Madison were best friends and business partners—until everything fell apart. Now, four years later, Max is a wealthy CEO, while Sloane, an etiquette expert, is back in Maine to care for her niece and help her find her birth father. Excited about their new garage apartment, Sloane is horrified to discover it belongs to none other than Max. Thanks to an unbreakable lease, she’s now living right next door to the man she’d rather avoid.

Max orchestrated this reunion to get closure, but his plan backfires when old feelings resurface. The world sees him as a cold-hearted rake, but Sloane has always been the one person who can break through his walls. As they navigate their complicated past and undeniable chemistry, they’re forced to confront the truth about what really went wrong. Packed with humor, emotion, and sizzling banter, this sweet enemies-to-lovers romance, the third and final installment in the Sons of Scandal series, is one you won’t want to miss!

Uneasy Street was my first experience reading Becky Wade’s work and I can’t believe it took me so long to find her! This was an incredibly enjoyable read and I only wish I would have read the first 2 books in the series before reading this final one. That’s not going to stop me from reading them now – I can’t wait to read Remy and Jeremiah’s story, as well as Jude and Gemma’s story. Well-developed characters, excellent writing and a thought-provoking story line are some of the reasons this read was so good, but topping the list has to be the incorporation of all the traits we all strive for – forgiveness, kindness, doing the right thing most especially when you don’t really want to, patience, goodness and grace to name just a few. I was fully invested in these characters and felt every emotion they experienced. Honestly, I didn’t want the book to end. I loved every single minute of reading Uneasy Street and I will most definitely be reading more from this author in the future. I’m grateful to have been given the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book through NetGalley.

I am sad for the Sons of Scandal to end! These books have been a lovely journey through lives that were created in and around scandal. Ms. Wade is sharing Max’s story in this last of the books. I, actually, did not like Max at the beginning of this book. He just did not seem like a nice guy. He seemed harsh, unbending, egotistical and just plain rude. Even knowing that Sloane had a heartbreaking family issue, did not affect him. Yet, Sloane came through hardship and heartbreak and was still a sweet, caring person. She loves her niece, Ivy, beyond everything else. Sloane looks for the good in people and for ways to serve and help others.

This is an unusual romance with several side stories wrapped inside – Ivy’s search for her biological family, Fiona’s relationships with Burke and Isobel, Max’s search for the missing, historical tiara and Sloane’s relationship with her father. Yes, it sounds busy. Yet, t just works. Ms. Wade has a beautiful way with words to wrap up an enjoyable series. Through it all, we see how Ms. Wade allows God to work in the lives of her characters. And, give us great reading.

This is my second book of Wade’s and I loved it just as much as the first. I really enjoyed the multi POVs. I appreciated the different voices that told the story. Not only did the narrators do a great job of portraying these characters from Wade’s words, but the variety and tone used by Reba Buhr and Ryan Hudson was excellent. I love narrators that have great expression too. These two were very fun!

This book has a favorite trope of mine, enemies to lovers. I loved how the story plays out. Not all the characters found all they needed but there was resolution and peace for many. Ivy was a favorite. She stole the show for me. I liked how the author showed us a normal teen, that is learning through life. I really loved the surprises and twists for Ivy. There is also added an entertaining mystery for missing jewelry and finding birth parents.

Sloane and Max were excellent. Max was pretty arrogant at first, Sloane is stubborn and elegant and her realizations were wonderful. There is a great theme of forgiveness with them and other characters in this story. Max was very funny at times, especially over water.

I need to get caught up on Wade’s books asap!

I received a NetGalley approval for the audio and ebook from the author. All views are my own.

UNEASY STREET is my favorite of the series now, it is SO GOOD Y’ALL! Max and Sloane are a chef's kiss as a couple! Their banter, their history, UPenn, a book app, just ALL THE GOODNESS!

Sloane is spending time watching her younger sister and Max happens to be the landlord of their temporary apartment. He and Sloane haven’t seen each other in several years and its sparks and fire as soon as they do.

Max is the third son from Felix, their infamous famous father, hence the series’ name, and he’s not only the one with the darkest hair, but the darkest past as well.

If you enjoy dual pov, sparks, banter, he falls first, friends to more, and found family you will enjoy this one! Also if you have a young daughter who enjoys reading romance, this is another great series to share with her!

Highly recommend reading both the print and the audiobook- it's a great dual narration!

Uneasy Street is the much anticipated third book in the Sons of Scandal series. I have been anticipating this book and it did not disappoint!

This book is an enemies to lovers romance...but it's so much more. It's full of romance, friendship, forgiveness, grace, family (born and found), integrity, personal responsibility, and humility. All of these themes were woven seamlessly and beautifully into this story in such a profound way. The character growth and story development flowed effortlessly throughout. This is a story you will want to get lost in.

*Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

*SWOON* Becky Wade does it again! This is the third book in the Sons of Scandal series and just like the other two, it does not disappoint! I bounced back and forth from paper book to audiobook and it was equally enjoyable. The narrators of the audiobook did a phenomenal job and really brought the characters to life. I plowed through this book and cannot wait to read it a second time.

Becky Wade completed the Sons of Scandal series with this delightful third book.

In her final installment of the series, Max, the so-called "illegitimate" son of Felix Camden schemes to confront his former business partner and best friend. His nemesis, Sloane, is in town to spend the summer with her niece, Ivy, and agrees to help her find her biological father.

It's an enemies to love story with the full gamut of emotions from angst to swoon.

This novel wraps up some side stories we've been following since Memory Lane, so make sure to read this series in order for the full experience.

I’ve been impatiently waiting for this book! Uneasy Street was absolutely enjoyable and rounded out this series perfectly! Max and Sloane had chemistry that sparked off of the page in this enemies to lovers story! The layers of this book intersected expertly into a story that not only dazzled in the romance department, but really tackled some more serious issues in these characters. I appreciated that while Becky Wade isn’t afraid to tackle the messy or hard topics, she still kept this book from being heavy. One of the things I have loved about this series is that the author allows the characters to have flaws and make mistakes! My absolute favorite parts of this story were when Sloane and Max were word sparring with each other! I just loved Max! There are a few light mysteries that need solving during this story which added another layer of interest beyond the character’s personal relationships. I can definitely say I was invested in this book until the end and really have enjoyed this whole series immensely!

When prim and proper Sloane Madison returns to the east coast to care for her niece for the summer, she gets more than she bargained for. Much to her dismay, her once-best-friend-now-enemy, scheming Max Cirillo is her temporary landlord, and he wants a showdown. Their friendship once meant everything to them, and when the relationship broke down, it caused a deep rift that they have not been able to mend or forget.

When I read a Becky Wade book, I know that I will love the romance, but my favorite part is the way that the characters grow together while they solve a mystery. There is always something to uncover, both in the story and in the characters themselves. In this book, the theme is the transformative power of forgiveness, and there is a definite need for it. Max needs to forgive Sloane and himself. Slone needs to forgive her sister and Max. All of the older generation need to both ask for and receive forgiveness for the ways that they’ve hurt each other. The rawness of their past hurts is like another character in the book, and the different manners in which they approach the resolution of their pain carves out their stories and sets them on their different paths.

The banter between Max and Sloane is absolutely hilarious, and Ivy adds a sweetness and innocence to their interactions that is precious. I thoroughly enjoyed this conclusion to the Sons of Scandal series, and I know that this will be a book that I reread often.

"Uneasy Street" is a wonderful ending to Becky Wade's "Sons of Scandal" series. The series overall was excellent and this book really wraps things up for those that have read the first two books in the series. This one can be read as a standalone but if you plan on reading the other two books, this will give spoilers to storylines that start in the first book and continue through to this one. I highly recommend they be read in order.

I really enjoyed getting to know Max better. He is mentioned in the first two books of this series since he's the illegitimate brother of Jude and Jeremiah, the main male characters in the first two books. Sloane is a worthy heroine in this one and I really liked the banter between Max, Sloane and Sloane's 15 year old niece Ivy who plays a huge part in this book. There are two mysteries in this one, a missing royal tiara and Ivy finding her birth father.

This is a swoony, sweet and clean romance. There is some swoony kissing in it and mentions of past romance's of Max's in the book. He has been quite the playboy and that comes up frequently but doesn't every playboy need the right woman to reform him??? There are strong family connections in this and themes of redemption as well.

I recommend this book for adult audiences, though older teens 17+ may connect with Ivy's story of adoption and finding her birth father.

Thank you to Netgalley and the author for the opportunity to read an ARC of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

This is a terrific ending to the Sons of Scandal series. Readers finally get Max's story and will find it was worth the wait. With Ms. Wade's trademark swoony hero and witty banter, readers are in for a treat.

When Sloane returns to Maine for a couple of months, she finds that she is unable to avoid contact with Max, the friend who betrayed her four years ago. The story starts with quite a bit of tension and I'll be honest, I was not immediately a fan of Max.

Ms. Wade skillfully wove their back stories throughout Uneasy Street, and I found a lot of vulnerability in both of the main characters. I quickly started rooting for a happily ever after ending. I was moved to tears near the end of the story, hoping they would have the courage to lay aside the betrayals that lurked deep within and find the courage to trust and find love.

A subplot that is woven throughout the series is one of family and the high cost of betrayal that only grace and forgiveness can heal. One of these broken relationships is part of a subplot involving secondary characters. I love the fact that Ms. Wade creates realistic flawed characters, who sometimes commit offenses that have far reaching consequences, yet can be healed by the power of grace.

Content warning: Some swoony kisses and mention of past affairs.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley and the author/publisher. I was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

I loved this story.
The two main character Max and Sloan are so fun to read about. They have a history and the banter going on by them due to a huge misunderstanding is actually fun to read. They come back together after 4 years so part and have to find their way to friendship again.
There is also other characters who have stories that need resolution and forgiveness that are all interconnected. I enjoyed each character and the story around them.
A story of faith and forgiveness and finding one true self.
I look forward to the next story by this author.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy

This is a wonderful book! It's the third in the series. I haven't read the other two yet, but I definitely will! The book is mostly lighthearted with a few serious topics. The prevalent theme is forgiveness.

The characters are relatable, and most of them are easy to like. My absolute favorite is Ivy. She's a breath of fresh air. Her sunny disposition makes everyone in her life feel special. Sloane is a dedicated person. She loves Ivy with all her heart. She has a lot of walls up because of her difficult past. Max- I love him, then I despise him, then I love him again. He, too, has had a difficult past. He's successful in everything but love.

I loved being transported to Groomsport, Maine! It sounds utterly breathtaking with its mountains, rivers, and lakes. I'd love to see the inside of "The Gables!" I would also like to try on Empress Eugenie's tiara! Every girl wants to be a princess!

I look forward to reading the other books in the series. I already like Jude and Jeremiah a lot!

I was provided a complimentary arc copy of the book from the author/publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
