Loved this wrap-up book of the Sons of Scandle series. I have so enjoyed these books - 1.Memory Lane 2. Rocky Road and 3. Uneasy Street. Set in Maine and focusing on relationships and personal growth, these stories have something for every reader. Definitely worth the read. I was provided a copy of this book through #NetGalley to read. This review is my own personal opinion.

Forgiveness is the main theme of this book. While Sloane is the main character, I really enjoyed the story of her niece Ivy. It was also nice to have previous characters in this book such as Fiona and Burke. The author did a good job of giving back story so that people who haven't read the story know what's going on, but no so much that people who have read all the books are bored.

For that reason, the last in the 'sons of scandal' trilogy can be read as stand alone or as part of the backstory. I recommend the latter so that you get the backstory. It tied up many of the loose ends however, there are a couple of left which gives the author the ability to come back to this series should she want to.

Worth reading. This book has characters with real problems that they have to work through. With the multiple storylines, a complexity is added to the book which only makes it more enjoyable.

Thank you, NetGalley, for providing me with this free ARC in exchange for my honest review.

3.5 stars. This was nice ending to an enjoyable series. I didn't love it as much as Books 1 and 2 but still liked it enough that I will certainly buy the ebook and audiobook when they're released. They are already on my "Wishlist".

I initially found it hard to like Max and Sloane, the two main characters, and even after I found out why they were estranged, I still wasn't completely on board with them finding their HEA but eventually started to root for them. Also, although I liked the overall theme of forgiveness and not holding on to grudges, I personally felt ambivalent about some of the side storylines regarding adultery. On the other hand, I loved Ivy and enjoyed revisiting my favorite characters from the first, two books.

No profanity and a little PG kissing.

Uneasy Street is the third and final book in the Sons of Scandal series by Becky Wade. And what a grand finale it is! 5 stars!

I loved both Jeremiah and Jude's stories, but Max's story took a decidedly different bent. Max Cirillo and Sloane Madison have a long and colorful past. From being best friends and coworkers to enemies and back again.

Uneasy Street felt more angsty and serious overall giving a reader all the emotions Max and Sloane were feeling. One minute I'm sympathizing with wrongs done to Sloane and then before I knew it, I was feeling for the wrong done to Max. It takes a really fantastic author to give a reader believable reasons to see both sides of this story. I fully understood Sloane's apprehension about Max's womanizing and disloyal ways. Before I knew it though Max had my sympathy, and I was literally telling Sloane not to mess a good thing up.

Uneasy Street isn't all serious, however. In classic Becky Wade Style there was a lot of humor and wit. I loved Max's line when the group was talking about fragrances, "If Sloane starts wearing a love potion, my heart ventricles will explode."
I also loved Sloane's niece Ivy and the mystery involving her. Ivy and her two sidekicks, Kevin and Ricky added a wonderfully light touch to Uneasy Street.

My favorite inspirational line was "Give to other people what you need." based on the words of Jesus to do to others what you would have them do to you.

The only way this book could have been any better was for there to be an epilogue to the epilogue, like an epilogue 2.0. I need more, just saying...a novella would do just fine, Ms. Wade.

By my count this is Becky Wade's twentieth Christian fiction work. I have loved them all and can't wait for the next one, two, or ten books. I'll be there for it! I appreciate a copy of Uneasy Street being made available, via NetGalley, for review. All thoughts and opinions are my very own.

This is the conclusion to the sins of scandal series. This can be read without reading the other two but I enjoyed having the background from the other two. The book has lots of other storylines interwoven but is easy to follow. Forgiveness is a big theme in the book.

What an amazing read. This isn't your typical enemies to more story. Max and Sloane were friends at first, then become enemies due to a falling out. Both of them have baggage from their past.
It was neat having Sloane's niece Ivy be involved in this story, and I enjoyed reading about her quest to find her biological father. I also enjoyed catching up with Fiona whose story spans throughout the entire series as it involves her relationship with her estranged sister. This story has themes of forgiveness and second chances. Some characters learned to overcome bitterness and forgive while others hold onto their anger and bitterness. Such a great story and definitely a series worth reading again.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Uneasy Street by Becky Wade is book three in the series (Memory Lane and Rocky Road are the first two books). I highly recommend reading them in order. Uneasy Street brings to a conclusion not only the lives of the three brothers (Max is the youngest and half-brother) but brings resolutions to other family relationships. Filled with messages of forgiveness and faith, Uneasy Street has relatable characters and events. Plan your time wisely. Once you start reading you will not want to put it down.

Releases Feb. 14th. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
