I got accepted to review this book years ago, but unfortunately never got around to reading it. Apologies for this.

The Seeker is .... not exactly what I'd expected from the summary and cover. A bit misleading, perhaps. There was elss worldbuilding than I'd like and the writing and dialogue between characters was stilted. Quin?? John??? I didn't understand what was going on. I couldn't immerse myself in the magic of the world and DNF'd around halfway through.

DNF!!!
whAT IS GOING ON?!
Please could someone tell me because I have no idea?!
Where is the book set? This is the main reason why I just can't carry with this story. At first I was thinking some kind of medieval England but then cars appeared and stuff way too modern for that. I have a pretty decent imagination and I have never had a problem imagining things before but this is way beyond my skills. I think that this story would have been soooo much better if it had been more like regular fantasy rather than trying to be all inventive in the urban fantasy genre. Overall, I would avoid this if I was you unless you love to be confused as heck.
