This books was so unexpected. At first I wasnt sure about it as I do not enjoy reading about the cheating trope but there was enough intrigue about the FMC's psych that i kept reading. I was rewarded with some good character development and a scheme revolving around a technology that helps people find their perfect match. It was actually really interesting to see the past unravel and I’m so glad our FMC sienna came out better on the other end. Cleverly done
This is a story about letting technology control your life and how easy it is for people to manipulate by it. Still that gut feeling wins!
The epilogue felt a bit rushed and wished there was just a few more chapters to round off some relationship development and what happened with the MMC.
Thanks to NetGalley and publisher for an eARC of this book for review.
Overall an enjoyable read.

This book had a great plot with intriguing characters. I’ll definitely be looking out for more from this author.

I binged this book in a day…I can’t stop think about it. The author really immerses you in the life of the FMC and snippets of the MMC. The book shows you in detail what the future holds for us and the present world the characters were living in. This book is beautifully written and the story sucks you in, hanging on every page. The descriptions of the setting and softness of the FMC pulls at your heart. You root for her, will for her to succeed, while reading to see how the story unfolds. I’ve talked about this book with others and I’m excited to share it. This is 5 stars without a doubt, I couldn’t put it down!

It’s a similar premise to The One by John Marrs where people can opt in to find their perfect match.
However this book follows the fallout from only one newlywed couple who find out they’re not a perfect match, and he moves on with his match.
I enjoyed the author’s writing but I struggled with the characters. I couldn’t stand the husband and it was painful at times to read the wife’s obsession with him.
Thanks NetGalley for my free copy in exchange for my honest review.

Quite similar to "The One by John Marrs" and a great book to have some discussions over it. What would you do? Would you be curious to find your perfect Match even though you are happily married?
So story wise it is an absolute 5 Star book - character wise only a 3 star --> therefore resulting in a 4 Star review.
Here a short description on how well I liked some of the characters :
Ethan, he is absolutely a great guy, a great therapist and a great Friend.
Lena, great boss and great friend
Sienna, sometimes too obsessive over Tony ( but somehow understandable ) overall a nice Character ones she starts living her life.
Tony, oh dear.. What a douchebag of a man - he is absolute the worst and at first I thought "why include so many povs from his side" but a lot was needed to get the story.
Now about the ending : WTF? all squeezed in two pages.. there should have been a little bit more to it and also Tonys ending.. not quite satisfactory.
Thank you Netgalley!!

Your Perfect Match by ZL Arkadie
Such an amazing book!
Anthony and Sienna are a newly married couple that live in the year 2099.
Sienna is a Professor at UCLA and Anthony is a lead software integration engineer for a technology company this is hired to develop features for a new device called a YPM band.
The YPM band is a bracelet you wear that is supposed to find you “Your Perfect Match” in life. It is only supposed to be worn by single people but Anthony, already bored with Sienna, wants to give this new technology a try. Anthony is immediately matched with someone and moves out to start a new life with this woman.
Your Perfect Match focuses on Sienna, her journey from thinking she had already found her perfect match in Anthony to realizing she may have had rose colored glasses on the entire time.
Your Perfect Match is a beautiful second chance romance that shows the importance of loving ourselves first and foremost.
The only thing I would’ve appreciated is a better explanation of what happened after the NY’s party, for all couples involved.

Your perfect match is a romantic dystopian thriller featuring the idea of bracelets being able to match you with your soul mate or 'perfect match'.
Giving Black mirror vibes, I was immediately taken with the blurb, and the read did not disappoint! We follow Sienna whose husband finds his perfect match, but drags her along whilst he works out what he wants.
Sadly, we've probably all either been in relationship or had a friend whose been in a relationship, where one person is obsessed with the other, but is clearly being treated badly/led on, but yet they still can't face breaking up because they are too emotionally invested. This is the case for poor Sienna and I spent most of the book, wishing that I could tell her she deserves so much better than Tony (the husband), and to stop chasing him!
But it was also strangely liberating being able to experience her emotions as she dealt with the split, and her subsequent emotional growth from it. It really portrayed well those who end up in toxic relationships and struggle to leave; it's hard and my heart went to Sienna!
I loved how short the chapters were - it really made the read fast-paced and I found myself whizzing through it. The ending hit me rather abruptly, but I was happy the way things turned out (no spoilers!).
Overall, it was a quick, easy read, that had me quite emotional by the end.

Romance💞😻🙃:
Sienna thinks she loves💘 Tony, but its definitely more of an obsession👥 than real love. She’s dependent on guys which was addressed in their therapy. Meanwhile, Tony? He’s nothing special💫—just like all exes in Romance books. But even worse bc we get his pov👀. Honestly, I don't feel like this was a Romance😍, maybe only the end part. But the rest? Seemed more like the aftermath😖, yk.
Characters 👥🙈💫:
Sienna: She didn't seem to realize🙀 that Tony doesn’t love her back in a lot of the book, which makes her attachment even more painful🤕 to read.
Tony (ex-husband!):
His character is frustrating😤. Is he rich🤑 or not? There's a couple things which made me confused🙀 about it. Also, it's unusual🤔 that he got a pov. He doesn’t deserve it, but I have to admit, it helped🤝🏽 deliver a twist🔩 I didn’t see coming🙈. Or maybe it wasn't a twist.
Ethan:
She went on one date with him and then they decided that they were a wrong match?🤨 what exactly were you expecting after one date? A proposal💌?
What is up with some of the names? 😑 Rush, Reign, Lieutenant 😭. Despite everything, I need a Book 2 but the Romance💙🔥 not the problems😵.
Thank you for the ARC!!🤩🙃💥

I slip the device onto my wrist. It’s just a game, I tell myself, convinced it’s all cracked science anyway. But is it?! Good book! A bit depressing, sort of but very interesting! I wish life could work that easy in the end!! This book was definitely a bit different from what I normally read, it was more of a romance I would say?! I would definitely recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

The MFC has an obession over her husband despite his overt behavior showing his lack of respect and love. I did like the background story of the wife detailing the reasons for her actions.
This novel reminds me of John Marrs "the one." It seems to be set in a similar world with the same premise. Without the concept of having "a perfect match" this story tells of a wife fighting to get her husband back. The husband is trash. Wouldve liked a chapter on the husbands reasoning for his actions. You get POVs from both husband and wife.
I was going to rate 4/5 but the ending was rushed. An epilogue would've been nice.

This is a very hard one to rate. The writing is absolutely beautiful and I love how the author describes the scenes. There is magic in the writing.
But I'm not sure I would classify this romance or even in comparison to the books that were mentioned. It's more of a suspense thriller. It's unique.
Spoilers:
It feels like reliving a terrible breakup and that's not necessarily a world I want to live in. The story was also predictable once you sort of understand what's going on. It wasn't a fun story but I did enjoy the empowerment and the work through trauma. It was just very weird.
I would 1000% read more from this author. This story just wasn't for me. The writing and creativity were amazing though.

Really amazing- just wish there would’ve been a bit more to the story/ending.
Following the story of Sienna’s husband leaving her for his perfect match and all the twists and turns- plus some surprises- I found myself enjoying this book so much and really rooting for her.
The ending seemed kind of sudden.. I really would’ve loved to read about Sienna’s ex and his pov as well as more of what happened as it really felt like it abruptly ends. Maybe there will be a follow up or 2nd book!?
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this arc in exchange for my honest review.
