Nature's Tributes turned out to be not the book for me. Going into this story, my only hope was to enjoy it as it's definitely my type of read and it's from a new author to me, so I was excited to read this story. Unfortunately, I could not get into it, and the pace of it killed it for me. Yes, it was that slow! This story had potential, but it just didn't reach it for me. There were a few things I liked about this story but more I disliked. This story dealt with mature situations but didn't feel like a mature/adult read. The characters in this story fae and humans were supposed to be older and mature, but their actions were childish, especially when it came to certain fae characters. I love a good dark read but at the same time I love for the darkness happening in the story to have a reason for why it happens and when it comes to this story that wasn't always the case. The characters were okay, but I can't say that I loved any of them and all of them were forgotten by the last page. There was a lot of childish actions within this story, and I was over it quickly. No matter how much I wanted to enjoy this story, it just wasn't the story for me. However, I would still suggest other readers giving this story a try to find out if this is the story for them. Just because this story wasn't the one for me doesn't mean it won't be a great story for others. My review is just my opinion based on how I felt about this story.
