I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to the author, the publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to the privilege of being allowed to read this book!

I was so excited to read this book! My first experience with this author was with her fantasy book Whispers of War and Storms under her C.L. Mecca author name. I loved it! So I was extremely excited to be able to read this book under her as well! She does fantasy really well, but the real world, oh my gosh! This was perfect! I could not put this book down! I loved every character, especially all four boys when they're together! I felt so many emotions throughout this book just like her previous book I read, I was embarassing myself with the amount of times I laughed out loud or smiled well reading, I loved it! The only issues I had were a couple small spelling/missing word errors and the fact that this book is over! I need more of these characters and this world! Thank you once again for bringing me along for another amazing book ride and giving me more characters to love!

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to read this book I loved it! P.s this would make an absolutely adorable movie or TV series!

I have always enjoyed the books I have read written by Cissy Mecca and Fallen Hearts does not disappoint. The story of Mason and Pia is full of heat and steam and you wonder what is really going to happen. It makes you feel like you are part of the book, watching what is happening in Cedar Falls. This book will not disappoint you.

I’ve always loved small town romances but this one was truly amazing. The characters were amazing. These characters had so much chemistry between them it was crazy. Mason and Pia are so cute together. This was a sweet first book in The Bachelor Pact series and I’m so ready for the rest of them! Will do a more in depth review later on..

I adored this small town romance story. Mason has returned home upon his father’s death he has all these mixed emotions on what he is going to do. Then there is Pia, who was hired by his father to restore the inn. Now more time mason spends with Pia the harder he is finding it resist. Also there’s the deal with the pact. I loved the interaction with the guys this story really is a sweet small town romance.

The Bachelor Pact between the protagonist, Mason and his friends was the takeoff point for this series/story. I love a good friend group and that’s why I picked up this romance. When he meets Pia, their attraction is instant and so begins the numerous problems of whether or not they should pursue something while working together. I enjoyed watching them fall head over heels in love and get their happily ever after and look forward to the rest of books in this series. TBR and Enjoy!

Fallen Hearts
The Bachelor Pact #1
Cissy Mecca
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

For Mason returning home to Cedar Falls after his Dad's death brings on some mixed emotions. But finding out his father had hired a beautiful lady named Pia to run and restore the inn before he died is at the top of the mixed emotions list. He doesn't need help. He's probably going to sell it and go back to his police job anyway, but things don't quite go as he thought they would.

No attachments and of course there's the Bachelor Pact as well. But Pia's nothing but sunshine and laughter and that is sorely testing Mason's resolve. As each day passes he finds it harder and harder to think of the day when he has to return to his job and leave the inn.
The Bachelor Pact is something they never should have made and he knows that now, but how does he even begin to give himself to someone else when he's so confused himself.

Cissy Mecca knows how to write in any genre she chooses. This book was absolutely amazing. From the moment I started reading it, I was lost. I don't think I came up for air until the book was done. The characters were perfect. The chemistry between Mason and Pia was off the charts. I was rooting for them the whole way. If you enjoy small town contemporary books then this book is for you. I don't normally read contemporary, but this was definitely worth it. I can tell you honestly that I'll be waiting for the next books to come out.

Fallen Hearts by Cissy Mecca was a great easy read. It had the romance, the angst, the spice, and of course Pia and Mason’s chemistry was sizzling. Mason was put off by relationships due to the fact that they either end up in heartbreak or loss and after witnessing what his dad went through after losing his mom, he didn’t want that. And let’s not forget the so called Bachelor Pact, where no one falls in love or says “I do”. Mason and Pia try to keep things casual between them, but they just keep gravitating towards one another. Enjoyed their story very much, it was cute and sweet with some spice. Can’t wait to see how the rest of the boys break the pact.

New York police officer Mason Bennet is back in Cedar Falls after his dad passed away unexpectedly. Missing his dad terribly, he isn’t interested in the woman that shows up at Heritage Hill Inn regarding a job she was hired to do there. Mason isn’t even sure he wants to keep the flailing Inn much less have the time and energy it would take to get the business functioning in the black again.

After losing out on a promotion that she should have gotten, Pia Russo accepted the position of manager of the Heritage Hill Inn in Cedar Falls, New York. Sadly, upon arriving in town, she discovered the owner had passed away. Meeting his son, Mason Bennett, didn’t go well at all as he promptly dismissed her. When Mason eventually hires her back Pia begins to settle into the small town and it quickly becomes obvious that Mason and Pia have a connection. Unfortunately, Mason and his buddies have had a long time pact that they will never get seriously involved or get married, ever!

Even though Mason and Pia have become much closer Mason still can’t decide if he’s going to return to his job at the NYPD or stay in Cedar Falls which leaves Pia in limbo. But Pia is no longer willing to spend time convincing someone of her worth. It is time for a serious conversation with Mason.

There were a couple of items I found issue with. The first being the over use of the f-bombs in chapter two. It seemed to calm down somewhat after that chapter but they seemed extremely excessive in chapter two. My second issue was with Pia’s character. With her arriving to take over management of the Inn there ended up being so little written about her performance of that job that her character began to feel one dimensional. I wish the author would have elaborated on her day to day activities a little more, maybe included how she approached and solved issues, etc.

I received an ARC and freely offer this review.

4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a cute, sweet, small town romance.
The chemistry between Pia and Mason was great.
This is a start to a new series, and the set up for future books is all lined up with all the banter and friendships stories in this book.
Mason and Pia end up working together and refurbishing his family's inn. His friends are always interfering in his life. And the antics and banter were great and all that combined made this a fun read.

I really enjoyed this book from start to finish, based in a small town with 4 guys and one bachelor pact.
I was invested in this book from the start, enjoyed seeing how their instant chemistry developed throughout the story. I really liked Mason's friendship group, the banter shown between them through the dual pov worked really well. I really hope this a series for all 4 boys as I can't wait for their stories already. Highly recommend.

Thank you to netgalley and boldwood books for providing me an e-arc in change for a honest review.

Welcome to Cedar Falls! This is Mason and Pia’s story. Their chemistry is off the charts. I loved the strength in Pia as she got passed over for a promotion at her old job and strikes out for a position in a small town. The problem is the owner of the Inn has just passed away and now his son is the owner who abruptly turned her away. Mason has no idea what he wants to do with the Inn since he is a New York Policeman. Pia comes back the next day and confronts Mason who allows her back under the condition that he still is unsure what to do about the Inn. As they work together with his friends to renovate the Inn, they can’t fight the chemistry that is between them. With choices to be made about the Inn and their relationship, what to they choose?

Fallen Hearts
Cissy Mecca

I haven’t read any of Cissy Mecca contemporary romance before, although I’ve read a lot of her medieval books. And I recently read her first romantasy Whisper of War and Storms. She’s a very talented author and I’ve come to realize her books under any pen name and any genre are wonderful romances. The plot spins the tale of two people meeting, falling in love and then finding their happily ever after. Her characters are well defined and emotionally mature, (except maybe one of the secondary characters). All the characters are lovable to keep the reader invested in their stories. I find all of this author’s work enjoyable, entertaining and well worth the read.

Four guys, one small town and one bachelor pact! This small town romance set in Cedar Falls had me invested from the beginning. Pia and Mason’s chemistry was instant however due to their work commitments, Pia now works for Mason they both know they shouldn’t cross the line with their mutual attraction. I adored Mason’s friendship group the guys banter was so good and personality I can’t wait for their stories. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and would highly recommend it especially if you love a good small town romance.

A delightful slow burn that explodes into a four alarm fire- the chemistry between Pia and Mason is that hot! The setting is beautiful and the friendships provide witty banter and a shoulder to lean on when the need arises. The small town vibes draw you in and the tender moments, laughter and spice make you want to stay and see what unfolds next.

Enjoyable workplace romance!

I really liked Pia and Mason. I thought they were cute and had good chemistry. I liked the will-they-won't-they, it helped build up the romance with tension and mutual pining.

I thought the plot was interesting too since I have never run an inn.

A very enjoyable read!

The beginning of a new small town romance series!

This story has
- insta- lust
- no- love pact
- boss/employee
- close friend group
- small town

I enjoyed this story and the banter but I wanted a little more angst. If you like Lucy score or Elsie silver books give this author a try!

A super nice, small town romance with lots of set up for future books dealing with the group of guys with a “no love” and “no marriage” pact. Maybe more of a 3.5 but I’d round it up to 4 stars - I’d definitely read more in this series to see where everyone ends up.

Mason and Pia end up working together and refurbishing his family’s inn. His group of guy friends is ever present, interfering and fun as he tries not to fall in love with the new manager that he has hired.

A bit of repetitiveness in the boss/employee/we shouldn’t do this dynamic and in Mason making his decisions but overall a pretty good book.

Enjoyable small town romance between a new inn manager and her boss who’s an innkeeper/nypd/former army ranger. Mason just unexpectedly lost his dad and is managing the inn while trying to figure out next steps. Unbeknownst to him, his dad hired Pia to come in and help the struggling inn. After getting off on the wrong foot, Mason recognizes Pia’s value at the inn and agrees to keep her on. Additionally, there was some heavy insta-lust between the two. They play the should we game most of the book given that he’s technically her boss and isn’t sure of his future. My issue with the story is the pacing. There was so much build up and wishy-washy feelings and the ending felt rushed and out of nowhere. This would be a good library read for fans of Elsie Silver and Devney Perry.

Thank you Boldwood Books for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
