As a self-confessed HMRC and Juno superfan, I have been impatiently awaiting the final instalment. It didn’t quite live up to the expectations I had, but it was an entertaining read nonetheless.

In the finale, we seem to have lost a little of the sparkle that made the previous books so page-turning. There are a lot of lengthy back and forths rehashing the same doubts and insecurities over beating Lucifer - including DURING the big battle which really wrecked the dramatic tension - and the conclusion was all over the place.

I definitely could have stood for more time with Theo in the final book, and I think I was expecting more of the Sullied Child prophecy which had me gripped from book one. I also found some of the later plot points overly simplistic.

Not the satisfying and gripping finale I hoped for, but good fun for HMRC fans! 3.5 for me.
