I thoroughly enjoyed The Cosy Croissant Cafe by Jane Linfoot and plan to read all of her books because of this fabulous introduction. Betty and Miles have delightful personalities and the storyline is believable, humorous and lighthearted. Thank you to Ms. Linfoot, Harper Collins and NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book. I’m off to find another!

Banter, fashion, ponies .. all at a beachside cottage? This book was adorable! If forced proximity tropes are your thing, with a grumpy x sunshine type of vibe (not over the top) this book is for you! The romance was a slow burn, and more realistic than alot of books, but I was expecting this from a cosy, seaside cottage read.
All in all, I enjoyed this read for a cosy little pallete cleanser.

If you want a true enemies to lovers summer romance, this one is for you!!
The first thing that gripped me about this book was the beautiful setting of St Aidan’s in Cornwall. Having visited as a child, it brought back so many memories of scenic walks and long winding coastlines - it really made me want to visit again. The Boathouse, where the book is set, is a perfect holiday retreat and I would love to stay there!!
There was immediate tension building between the two main characters as we are introduced to a slight backstory between the two of them. Miles and Betty have a history and this book unravels with them trying to navigate co-habiting together. They grow closer throughout the book and their connection seems authentic and it’s a lovely read.
There is also a very unexpected mid-book plot twist that really caught me off guard.
This book had such a community feel about it and it felt like a warm summer hug - whenever anyone was in touble, the whole town would band together in anyway they could. Also I would give a lot of money to try one of Miles’ Banoffee and Chocolate Pastry Buns!!

Did not like this book at all... boring could not get into it. The characters all were a bit cringe and felt fake most of the time.

I really actually enjoyed this book and I am so sad it took me so long to start. I was in a reading slump and just did not want to read anything! However, this definitely pulled me right out and I will definitely be checking out other books by this author! Such a fun little summertime small town vibe!

Ensure that you have a steaming cup of cocoa, perhaps some complementary mint ice-cream and a few spare hours before you dive into this gorgeous book!
Laugh out loud moments - loved it!

Lovely enjoyable read. Mouthwatering content and characters that you laughed and cried alongside. Would recommend this book.

This book is a perfect beach read. It's light-hearted, sweet and fun.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A funny, sweet story set in beautiful Cornwall. I did love these characters and especially Pumpkin the horse. Such a happy book full of funny moments and with romance thrown in. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

I received a free copy of, The Cosy Croissanr Cafe, by Jane Linfoot, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Betty is staying at her sisters cottage with her pony. Her brother in laws friend Mile sis also staying there. I found this book to be a tad boring, i could not get into it.

The latest installment in this charming series set in the fictional town of St Aidan is another delightful read. While the books can be enjoyed as standalone novels, they follow a chronological order, with familiar characters making appearances throughout, adding a sense of continuity for returning readers.
This particular story is a lighthearted and engaging "will-they-won't-they" romance, perfect for those looking for an easy, feel-good read. The writing flows effortlessly, making it a great book to relax with. Fans of the series and newcomers alike will enjoy the warmth, humour, and gentle romance that make this novel so enjoyable.

I love a book that has the words cosy and Croissant in the title. You know it is going to be good. When Betty and her pony Pumpkin turn up at Boathouse cottage, they are both looking for some r & r. But someone else has other plans, it is a blast from the past for Betty a man she has not seen for a while. she does not know how she will cope. Lots of things going on in this delightful tale. Great characters and lots of yummy sounding pastries, which made my mouth water. I liked how the story was an easy read and I liked seeing what the outcome would be between Betty and Miles. There are some parts that made me laugh, and I love the addition of Pumpkin the pony which really made me smile. A lovely read.

I loved The Cosy Croissant Café by Jane Linfoot. It took me to the picturesque and beautiful seaside village of St Aidans, following Betty and her adorable Shetland pony, Pumpkin. Pumpkin is Betty's loyal friend, who belonged to her late Mum, and their bond is so very special and unique.

I love a cozy, heartwarming story about pulling your life back together, and The Cosy Croissant Café definitely delivered that comforting vibe. The setting was charming, with its beachy atmosphere, a sweet horse, and the dream of a café that almost was.
However, despite the strong setup at the beginning, the story lost its momentum for me. Some sections dragged, making it difficult to stay engaged. The biggest issue was the lack of chemistry between the characters—Miles wasn’t particularly likable, and Betty felt a bit too dry, which made their interactions fall flat. I kept waiting for the spark, but it just didn’t come.
Overall, while the setting was lovely, the story felt like it was missing something. I appreciate the opportunity to read this ARC—thank you to NetGalley and One More Chapter for the copy!

ARC Review: *The Cosy Croissant Café* by Jane Linfoot
Jane Linfoot delivers another delightfully heartwarming romance set in the charming seaside town of St Aiden. *The Cosy Croissant Café* is a delectable mix of laugh-out-loud moments, slow-burning attraction, and the kind of small-town charm that feels like a warm hug.
**The Story:**
Betty’s life in Boathouse Cottage was meant to be peaceful—a fresh start with her rescue Shetland pony, Pumpkin, and no distractions. But fate has other plans. Enter Miles Appleton: ridiculously talented, frustratingly attractive, and completely unwelcome. As her brother-in-law’s best friend, Miles has always been an infuriating presence in Betty’s life, and now he’s standing between her and the only home she has left.
As family tensions rise and the beloved cottage becomes a pawn in her sister’s messy divorce, Betty and Miles find themselves locked in an unexpected battle. He’s determined to win her over—one expertly crafted croissant at a time. But Betty isn’t so easily swayed. Or is she? Because somewhere between the sugar-dusted pastries and the heated kitchen banter, she starts to wonder if Miles—and his mouthwatering creations—might be worth the risk after all.
### **What Makes It Special:**
🥐 **A Deliciously Swoony Romance** – If food is the way to the heart, Miles Appleton has mastered the art of seduction. The chemistry between him and Betty is undeniable!
🐴 **An Adorable Shetland Pony Sidekick** – Pumpkin is the unsung hero of this story, adding warmth and charm to every scene.
🏡 **Small-Town Shenanigans & Family Feels** – The coastal town of St Aiden is as lively as ever, with nosy neighbors, family drama, and a community that feels like home.
😂 **Banter, Bickering & Butter** – Betty and Miles’ dynamic is the perfect mix of fiery arguments and slow-blooming romance, making every interaction a delight.
**Final Thoughts:**
With its cozy seaside setting, swoon-worthy romance, and mouthwatering pastries, *The Cosy Croissant Café* is pure comfort reading. Jane Linfoot serves up the perfect balance of humor, heart, and heat in this enemies-to-lovers gem.
📖 **Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 stars)**
A must-read for fans of romantic comedies, small-town romance, and deliciously sweet love stories!

I had really high hopes for this book based off of the description, unfortunately it wasn't quite to the mark.
Betty (or one of the many many nicknames Miles calls her throughout the book), is staying at her sister's cottage with her pony. Miles also happens to be staying at this cottage, as he's friends with Betty's brother-in-law. They have a history from that wedding.
There is a lot of telling that happens, like when Betty is wearing outfits over outfits. Yes, she's unique and there is absolutely nothing wrong with this, but it became a lot.
There is a little catch-all kind of shop that she opens. It has all sorts of things setup, this doesn't happen until about halfway through the book. It hasn't really been called a cafe either.
I also didn't really feel a connection with the characters. With myself to relate or between them.
~Thanks to NetGalley and One More Chapter for the chance to read the ARC

Brilliant feel good romance set in a fictional town in Cornwall. I enjoyed the back stories of the FMC and the MMC and even enjoyed the miscommunication and bickering between them throughout the plot. I think there was a lot of development of both characters and the ending was perfect for them!
I absolutely loved Pumpkin! The little horse has gained a fan in me! My heart broke at the part where he went missing but I’m glad it had a happy ending.
I found the relationship between Scarlett and her husband odd and I’m not sure their ending was right for them? It felt forced or the wrong way to go for them both and this let it down slightly for me.
All in all I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend to anyone needing a fun summer romance.

This was not my cup of tea, unfortunately.
In this story we follow Elizabeth as she moves into her sister’s summer home with her pony after losing her apartment. However there lives Miles, one of Tate’s, her brother in law, groomsman who embarrassed her at their wedding. While trying not to make the couple fight it out, who will have to move out?
I enjoyed the first half of this story because it was setting up the story quite well, however the chemistry between the two was nowhere to be seen. Also the protagonist was not it at all, she was trying so hard to be different, like how many outfits do I have to read about just to prove you’re unique? I was actually very excited about this story because it has all the elements I generally love about romcoms but it just did not work here unfortunately.
Thank you NetGalley and One More Chapter for an e-arc copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book I have read by Jane and was lucky to receive it for a review. Betty has no where to stay so her sister offers her Boathouse Cottage as she and her husband Tate have gone to New York. So Betty arrives with Pumpkin, her Shetland pony who belonged to her mother who passed away. So she was surprised to see Miles,Tate’s brother there too. As it turns out his brother offered him to stay too. They have history as they were at Scarlett and Tates wedding and Miles was avoiding her. There is only 1 bedroom so they decide Miles can have it and Betsy will take the sofa. They are like chalk and cheese and are always bickering but Betty is attracted to him but tries to ignore it. Miles is a successful business man but is in between things at the moment. He starts baking pastries and Betty takes a walk on the beach with Pumpkin and sells them. They are so popular things escalate and they open a shop. Meanwhile Scarlett and Tate are having a rough time in New York and they both ask Betty and Miles not to leave the cottage. You must read the book to see how things develop with Betty and Miles. I only gave it 4 stars as I didn’t enjoy the relationship between Betty and Miles to start with but was invested in them as time passed and wanted them to succeed.

Before reading this one, I didn't realise I'd read others by this author, in the same series. So, when certain characters popped up, it was nice to look back and remember why I knew who they were!
Betty and Miles are thrown together when they're both staying at Betty's sister's house, unbeknownst to the other. Betty hates Miles, thanks to something that happened at her sister's wedding. However, they're stuck together and need to make the most of it.
This is such a dreamy book. I loved every single page. Betty is such a fun and funny character, the complete opposite to Miles. Slowly, Miles begins to shine and we get to see why he's so dreamy. I couldn't put this one down and finished it in a day!
