Teagan Hunter gave us yet again what we want from her: hot, hilarious and so swoony! I loved this small town, second chance romance. You could feel the love and yearning between Noel and Parker the whole way through. The narrators did a fantastic job bringing the emotions and humor to the characters dialogue!

This one was a solid read/listen for me. Teagan Hunter is an author who I thoroughly enjoy, but I've only ever read her hockey books, so I was intrigued as to whether I would enjoy this as much... It's safe to say I did.
This second chance romance ticked all of the boxes. I loved seeing Noel have to fight for his place back in his small town, as well as his place in Parker's heart. I will say I really appreciate the lack of flashbacks in this story. That's one thing that always turns me off in second chance romances and this one was perfectly limited. Definitely a good read!
I also listened to the audiobook. It was narrated by Lee Samuels and Emma Wilder. I will definitely be looking for more books with Emma as a narrator because I loved the sound of her voice! No complaints from me with this audio!

⭐ Review: The chemistry between Noel and Parker was truly captivating, as if the time apart had melted away. From the start, it was evident that their bond was profound, with each reaching for the other during pivotal moments, resolutely focused on avoiding previous missteps. The thought of life without one another was almost unthinkable, fueling their determination to support each other’s dreams and achieve extraordinary career milestones. Their family—Gran, Astrid, and Axel—enriches this connection, adding layers of love and warmth. Their reunion felt destined; the emotions they had set aside during their separation ignited a spark between them that was impossible to ignore. The dynamic energy present between them created a timeless atmosphere, as they intentionally chose one another, recognizing that existence without each other would be deeply unfulfilling. This partnership opened doors for them to chase their aspirations side by side. The buildup of anticipation for their reunion was palpable, leading to an exhilarating reconnection. The universe always intended for them to be together; it was a matter of time.
Get ready to be swept away by the enchanting dual narration of Lee Samuels and Emma Wilder! Their outstanding performances genuinely bring the story to life. Emma’s vibrant tone perfectly encapsulates Parker’s essence, while her expressive voice adds a remarkable depth to the character. Her ability to portray male voices with a distinct deeper pitch is impressive, creating an extraordinary auditory experience akin to a beautifully harmonized duet. On the other hand, Lee Samuels captivates us with his smooth, sultry voice, just like Noel, a charismatic celebrity. His effortless transition to a warm, caring tone when Noel shares his heartfelt emotions about leaving Parker is genuinely touching. This audiobook enhances the narrative and showcases Lee and Emma’s exceptional talent embodying their roles. Dive into this incredible auditory journey—you won’t regret it!

This was a sweet second chance romance. Noel and Parker grew up together as best friends and theater kids in their small town. Parker stuck to doing set design more and Noel was the actor. After graduation Noel wanted to go to Hollywood to expand on his acting and asked Parker to go with him...she stayed behind. 10 yrs later he comes home when a theater is being named after him and this is when they meet again.
I loved this story from the start and couldn't put it down. The characters are very relatable and down to earth and I loved that her old bully was her new bestie, showing how people can change. The narrators did a wonderful job bringing this story to life and making it enjoyable to listen to.

I am already a big Teagan Hunter fan but as soon as I saw the tropes for this one, I knew I needed it!!
Childhood friends turned second chance romance is an elite trope combo but then add in a celebrity and small town mix and it created a cute and heartwarming story that felt so realistic and homey! I could completely see it as a spicy Hallmark movie where the man finally goes back home to his small town and gets the girl he’s always loved! It’s a sweet slow burn romance with banter, longing, friendships, a quirky grandma and all the vibes of “it’s always been you!” And some of the microtropes in this one had me melting and swooning! From the hot outdoor waterfall scene down to the fact he still wears the same cologne she got him as a teen🥹

📖Parker & Noel were best friends in a small town but Noel had a dream of Hollywood and left which broke Parker’s heart. 10 years later and Parker now owns a renovation company with her friend and is working on restoring the old theater in town. However, the theater is being named after Noel and he is returning home to support it. But once he gets to town and they cross paths again, all those old feelings awaken. I do want to mention that there is some miscommunication and regret in this story but for me it all fit into the storyline and made sense given their age and circumstances when they parted ways!
🎧AUDIO REVIEW:
This audiobook is a dual narration by Lee Samuels and Emma Wilder who both put on a fantastic performance that keeps you engaged into this story! Emma Wilder has an upbeat tone that fit Parker’s personality perfectly but she also uses so much expression in her voice that makes her feel so real. Her male voice is also INCREDIBLE with a deeper tone to it that completely sounds like a different person! It makes the audio flow so smoothly and almost as if it was a duet. Then there is Lee Samuels whose deep yet sultry tone could not have been more perfect for Noel who is a hot celebrity. He also is able to switch to a smooth, caring voice when Noel is expresses his feelings on leaving Parker and how much he misses her. Overall, this is an audiobook that completely elevates the story as Lee & Emma embody the characters so well and when combined with the perfect pacing and flow of the narration, it was so easy to listen to!

Second chance and best friends to lovers are two of my favorite tropes and this book did not disappoint with that! Parker (FMC) and Noel (MMC) have been friends for most of their lives and were pretty much inseparable until Noel moved LA to pursue his dreams of being an actor. After being apart for 10 years the two awkwardly reconnect when Noel has to come back to town for a theater re-opening that is being named after him. The two characters rekindle their friendship which then quickly turns into more than just friends. I really loved all of the side characters and I felt like they all added so much to the story itself.

This is another great release from Teagan Hunter!
I listened to the audio, and overall, it was a super cute story with great narration! I liked all the characters and how things played out between the two MCs.
I really enjoyed the second chance aspect of the story. It was done well, and didn't feel rushed or forced. I loved that we have little hints of jealousy that play with the title of the book when Parker introduces Noel to her "best friend" after Noel has been away for years. It definitely added that something extra to the story!

Best Friends For Never is a small town, friends to lovers romcom. Parker and Noel were childhood and friends and crushes until he left for his acting career and she stayed behind. I loved seeing these two find the spark reunite between these two. I also loved all the characters of the small town. This story was fun, sweet and heartwarming and a perfect light hearted read!
Emma Wilder and Lee Samuels narrate this book in dual narration. These two dod an amazing job at bringing the emotion, longing and love Parker and Noel have for each other. Emma and Lee’s both gave stellar performances.

Noel & Parker used to be best friends, until a confession and distance tore them apart for ten years. Now that Noel is back in town, will they fall back into their old, familiar ways?
Best Friends for Never is a small-town, childhood friends to lovers, second chance romance with the best side characters!
I want to live in a small town like the one in this book - everyone (besides the weirdo journalist) cares for one another immensely.
This story was emotional, sweet, and steaaaamy!
The audiobook narrators nailed this story for sure. I really enjoyed listening to it, and finished it in two days!

OH LONGING...how I've missed you. A famous actor returns to his home town to see his teenage love after ten years. Small town vibes were all over this and it was so easy to get lost in the text.

Best Friends for Never is a small town, second chance romance.
Noel and Parker’s story was fun and engaging. I loved both characters individually and as a couple. You could feel their chemistry every time they were around each other. Eli enjoyed the banter, the drama and intimate moments .Another well written book by this author.
Lee Samuels and Emma Wilder did an exceptional job with narrating this book. It was believable and an entertaining portrayal of these characters.

Noel is a big time actor who is back in his home town after being away from 10 years. He runs into Parker, his ex-best friend and the girl he was in love with. They end up reconnecting and all these old feelings end up resurfacing. I personally didn't quite believe their love story. It felt like a bunch of miscommunication and it took his grandmother, & her mom and best friend to convince them to give long distance a shot instead of them figuring that out themselves. I did love the characters though and loved the town too! It definitely had that small town feel.
I definitely love Teagan's writing style and will be reading more of her books. Overall, this one didn't quite do it for me but it's definitely a me thing. If you're looking for a small town, friends to lovers, second chance romance, you could definitely give this one a try!
Audio:
This was narrated by Lee Samuels & Emma Wilder. Lee is a new to me narrator and I thought he portrayed Noel perfectly. Emma was fantastic as Parker. I'm really impressed with her male voices too. They both did a great job!

Brilliant audiobook.
I love small town romances and this takes place in the small town of Emerald Grove, that is were Noel and Parker grew up together. They are best friends until Noel leaves town to pursue his dreams of becoming an actor.
Leaving his best friend behind Parker is heartbroken, they never even had a chance to start something..Parker loves living in Emerald Grove but Noel couldn't wait to leave.
Its 10 years until their paths cross again..
Parker has a renovation buisness with her friend Axel and her next project is to renovate the rundown theatre in town.It has been closed down for years and now the go ahead to renovate it has the greenlight to go.The only thing making Parker anxious is that the theatre will be named after the boy who broke her heart...Who is now the man who has just arrived back in town, ready for the theatres opening.
They actually try to rebuild their friendship, but the past keeps getting in the way as there is more to the story than you initially think.
They would have to talk it out and put those ghosts to bed...They are still attracted to eachother and it can't be denied.
But Noel only has 6 weeks in town before he has to go back to L.A and it looks like history will repeat itself..Can Love conquer Parker's fears, and conquer all.
This is a lovely romance between two best friends who are both scared but perfect together if only they would take a chance.
Narrated by Lee Samuels and Emma Wilder who are Excellent a telling this story and acting out the characters roles.I really enjoyed listening to them their voices fit the characters perfectly.
Best Friends For never is a fabulous second chance small town romance.
I loved it.
5 stars

Teagan Hunter delivers a heartfelt and charming second-chance romance with Best Friends for Never. Parker and Noel’s story is filled with nostalgia, unresolved emotions, and a slow-burning chemistry that keeps you hooked from the start.
Parker is determined to bring her small town’s theater back to life, but she never expected the return of Noel—her childhood best friend and first love turned Hollywood heartthrob. Their reunion is filled with tension, old wounds, and undeniable attraction, making for a compelling push-and-pull dynamic. Noel is swoon-worthy yet vulnerable, and Parker’s strength and determination make her an easy character to root for. Their banter is fun, their emotional moments hit just right, and the small-town setting adds a cozy touch.
While the pacing slows in a few places, and the conflict feels a bit predictable at times, the story’s heart and the couple’s chemistry make up for it. If you love second-chance romances with a mix of humor, heartfelt moments, and a touch of Hollywood glamour, this one is definitely worth picking up!

Best friends For never
Noel is a big time celebrity but before he became big, he was from a small town in Washington. He was best friends with Parker and they both really loved one another. He broke that when he left and she stayed. Now he’s getting honored in the small town and getting recognized for his time in the theater as a student who turned pro.
Parker is a total badass who works as a home flipper and is hired to redo the theater and design it to special again. Once Noel shows up, she knows she’s going to fail at keeping distance. The chemistry and banter between these two was fire.
This story started slow but made up for it at the end. I really liked the audio narrators that did this book. Lee Samuels really gave Noel that masculine but also sensitive voice and Emma Wilder definitely gave that spunky independent voice.

Noel hasn’t been back to his small home town since in 10 years. Now, a famous movie star, he has returned. His welcome is less than warm. It’s especially chilly from his ex best friend. Parker.
They both have regrets about the past and uncertainty about the future. They forge ahead with some help and some hindrance from their small town neighbors,
Great dialogue and wonderful characters with chemistry. Granny and Astrid added more fun to the story. HEA with a nice long epilogue.

If you like spicy romcoms with best friends to lovers, celebrity, estrangement tropes this one is for you. It is a nice read, I listened to the audiobook and it was really good. If you want to engage in a light-hearted read this is it. Lovely characters that make you believe in love even though the cause for their estrangement was a bit weak but that’s romance for you. Overall an enjoyable book.

Parker and Noel were best friends growing up and hadn't talked in 10 years. When these two are finally face to face again they have a lot to sort. I personally really enjoyed it, and but not so much that they were trying to do what they thought was right without having a conversation that would have saved them a little heartache. I completely understand the rationale behind this, but it definitely had me yelling at them! Luckily, they didn't let it go on too long and they could get on to HEA! I enjoyed these characters and felt like there was still room if the author chose to write more about them!
