I loved this. This was so refreshing. Embracing God given talents, with well developed and relatable characters that you will definitely grow to care about. I need more books just like this one.

I did not finish this book. Honestly, the amount of christian references in the first chapters was already too much for me. I am personally not religious and it just ruined the plot for me.

I found this to be a really refreshing and pleasantly surprising fantasy read! What struck me most was the significant element of Christian theology. Going into reading this, I hadn’t really expected for it to be set in a Christian world, let alone that the theology would be so biblically based. I felt that it had a lot of depth to it and fit very well into the fantasy world that was established. It reinforces really positive messages about family, faith and relationships that are very wholesome to find in a fantasy book.
I also really liked the main character’s romance and felt that there was a good balance between focusing on it and on the greater plot. I loved Linc as the love interest! He was a very intriguing and mysterious character. I also liked how family was one of the central elements of the story.
There are only brief points that stood out to me as areas for improvement. I found a few small writing errors that could be easily rectified with further editing. I also felt that on occasion the dialogue between Vela and her best friend Elia wasn’t quite organic in reflecting their relationship.
I’d definitely recommend this to fans of Christian fantasy novels with a strong romance element! I hope to continue the series with Torch and read the independent story of Kane and Elia in Operation Kane.

This is a great young adult novel, the first in a series of four, with an amazing premise. Young adults will love the easy flow of the story and writing. Book leaves you will a tidy ending but hope for the next book and wanting more. Can't wait to see where Vela and Linc go next.

Terra is an amazing book written by Sofia Simpson. Linc and Vela's relationship develops throughout the book ; it’s very cute and is reminiscent of high school days. The element of magic is woven intricately and it gives the reader a clear understanding of the powers the character have. There wasn’t too much progression of the plot, except in the last 100 or so pages but since this is a first book in the series the world building and ending of this book has set up the next book. The plot twists were unexpected and a nice addition to the story.
