Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

This book definitely had potential and I was genuinely interested in the plot. The writing was also very good. My main issue - and one I simply couldn't ignore - was how unnecessarily long the book was. If we take into consideration the kind of story and plot being developed, it felt extremely silly for it to drag for so long. It made me go from liking the book to just wanting it to be over (and this was around the 53% mark of the story, when the main issue was apparently solved already!

Love Margaret and Dominic. Terrific characters... Lots of fun together. Love the banter and chemistry.

Dominic gives in to his mother's pestering and decides to wed the woman his deceased father wanted him to. He meets Maria and a wedding of convenience is set. The next time he meets her she tells him that she is not Maria but her identical twin Meg who was living in the country. Maria has run away and, to avoid scandal and the wrath of her cruel father, Meg has stepped in to take her place while she works on finding her. Attracted to each other, they both don't know what they will do when they do find Maria. I enjoyed this book by this new-to-me author. I received an ARC from NetGalley and Boldwood Books for my honest review.

I had the opportunity to read an early copy of A Gentleman’s Offer through NetGalley. While the premise interested me, I found the story a bit slow and difficult to fully engage with. It’s described as a “spicy” regency romance, but I wouldn’t necessarily categorize it that way—it felt more subdued than expected. Additionally, comparisons to Bridgerton seem a bit of a stretch, as the only real similarity is the regency setting.

That said, the characters were well written and had their moments, making the book an overall okay read. It didn’t fully capture my interest, but fans of slower paced historical romances may enjoy it more.

Good book. I thought it was a fast read. Good, interesting storyline. I liked the main Meg and Dominic. A must read!

It’s been awhile since I read an Regency romp without the same overused themes. This new novel kept me interested, and I was eager to follow along to see what happened next. I’m not sure if I would label this “steamy” as the description suggested, but there was some spice.

All and all, I enjoyed the read and would seek out future novels by this author.

Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC of this novel; all opinions are my own.
