Paige is itching for some change in her life. After a dramatic ending to yet another not-long-for-this-world relationship, she lets her friend send her on an unconventional dating experiment. Paige will meet three men only via text conversations, and potentially choose one to meet face-to-face. What she doesn't know is that one of these men is her lifelong best friend, Rhodes, who has been hopelessly in love with her this whole time.

This book was so unique and fun! It really felt like a 2000s rom-com at it's core and I absolutely love that. Paige is fun and quirky (if a bit clueless) and Rhodes is incredibly sweet. Their banter is top tier, it was incredible. This was definitely much shorter than I expected, and I completely blew through it. We are left on a bit of a cliffhanger which might be driving me crazy, but I'm so excited to see what happens next.
If you're looking for a quick, fun, lighthearted rom-com that truly feels like you're curled up watching a movie on the sofa, this is perfect for you. Did I mention there are POV chapters from the cat?? And a gruff Ron Swanson-type boss? It's so great.

Thank you to Net Galley for the ARC!

This was such a fun romcom. I thought Paige and Rhodes were both well developed characters and I loved the details added to the side characters as well. They all felt like their own people.

I would’ve loved for this book to take a little more time to flesh everything out. Instead of a week where Paige pretty quickly discounts both of the other guys she’s texting, I think it would’ve been beneficial to draw that out and make the decision harder for her to make between the three. She was pretty much only focused on Roger/Rhodes after a day so there wasn’t as much at stake with Rhodes hiding who he was.

A contemporary romance featuring best friends-to-lovers, Paige Turner follows Paige (oblivious) and Rhodes (hopelessly in love with her since forever). We’ve got pining, we’ve got banter, we’ve got… a cliffhanger?

The Vibe 💕

• Rhodes: Walking definition of down bad. He’s been in love with Paige for years, and honestly, respect.

• Paige: Completely clueless. Girl, please.

• The banter: A bit forced at times, but the chemistry is there.

• Side characters: Cute, charming, the kind of people you want in your group chat.

What Worked ✅

• Likeable characters. Even when the writing got a bit chaotic, I still wanted to root for them.

• Pining. Always a win. If a man isn’t secretly in love with his best friend while suffering in silence, is it even romance?

What Didn’t ❌

• The writing style. A little too all over the place for me. Even though this was a short book, I struggled to fully sink in.

• The ending. 🚨 Cliffhanger alert! 🚨 If you’re looking for a neat HEA, you won’t find it here. Instead, Paige goes on a journey of self-discovery, and Rhodes… well, he’s still suffering. Will the next book follow them? Probably. Am I rushing to read it? Undecided.

Final Verdict: 3 Stars ⭐⭐⭐

Cute, mildly funny, and a little chaotic, Paige Turner was an okay read that didn’t quite blow me away. If you love best-friends-to-sort of lovers, and don’t mind an unresolved ending, this might be for you!

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own—and my opinion is that Rhodes deserves a win.

The perfect rom com! Paige is such a relatable character- she is vibrant, hilarious and so is this book! It’s a classic rom com: Paige feels like her life is falling apart around her and love will fix it. She tried to find her match and doesn’t realise it is right under her nose, her best friend. Beautifully written, a laugh out loud book!

Wonderful, quirky but believable characters abound in this relatable tale. I loved the different perspectives used in the chapters, especially the ones from the cat’s point of view. I didn’t love that it ended the way it did but at least the author warned us up front,

This book was so cute and funny. It was sooo good and the message is so necessary. At first I was a little mad about Paige's decision, but it was for good. I am looking forward the second book.

The characters were lovable. Cleocatra's chapters were the best ones, I laughed a lot, and Lady Machete is>>>>

Please, read it

Readers are introduced to Paige who any reader can relate to - she is a young adult who is still trying to navigate life. She is stuck trying to understand what she wants in life especially in regards to the dating scene. She's tried the whole online dating where you swipe right and so she tries blind dating. In comes Rhodes, who has been in love with Paige since forever. He decides to be anonymous and pursue Paige to get her attention.

I will say that this book was slow to start with that it was hard to get into, but as you get past the first couple chapters, that's when it gets good. It was fun to watch Paige and Rhodes' relationship develop despite having years of friendship and history between them. Readers can definitely feel the heat between the two characters through their witty banter. The way Hill made Paige a witty, independent FMC with a good looking bestfriend - chef's kiss. I definitely laughed while reading this book that I did get some head turns (oops!).

This book has the right amount of tropes that any reader will fall in love with it. Second chance romance, childhood friends to lovers with just the right amount of witty banter among the characters is just perfect!

Thank you to Netgalley and Christina Hall for the eARC of this book, this is my honest review.

The twists and turns of this rom com had me giggling.

I love Paige and Rhodes friendship.

The journey Paige is going on is one I wish I had the guts to do!

I can not wait for the next book to see how she gets on!

Christina Hall’s Paige Turner is a delightful blend of second chances, slow burning love, and the modern dating struggles we all know too well. With a witty, self aware FMC and a sweet and super hot childhood best friend, this book delivers both humor and heart in equal measure.

Paige is relatable in every way—stuck in a rut, navigating lackluster dates, and desperate for a connection that isn’t just based on swiping right. The blind dating experiment adds a fresh and engaging hook, but what truly elevates this story is Rhodes. He’s been in love with Paige forever, and his decision to compete anonymously for her attention is equal parts romantic and nerve-wracking. Watching their relationship unfold, tangled in years of history and hidden feelings, was both exhilarating and agonizing in the best way.

Hall’s writing shines with snappy dialogue, authentic emotions, and humor. The chemistry between Paige and Rhodes is undeniable, making their eventual realization all the more satisfying. While the miscommunication trope might frustrate some, it’s handled with enough sincerity that it never feels forced.

If you love second chance romance, childhood friends to lovers, and just the right amount of chaos in a dating experiment, Paige Turner is a must read! It’s heartfelt, witty, and leaves you with the perfect bookish swoon.

Thank you to NetGalley, Christina Hall, and Hill Publishing House for the eARC of this book.

I want to thank Victory Editing NetGalley Co-Op, NetGalley, and author Christina Hill for the opportunity to read this!

3.75 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m a sucker for friends to lovers. AND a man who isn’t afraid to show his emotions. Although Rhodes is shy, when the time comes, he lets his words flow from the heart.

Thank you NetGalley and author Christina Hill for the opportunity to read an early copy of this book!

There are q couple of POVs that I wasn’t expecting but they made me giggle

Okay but I loved this? I do love a rom-com and boy did Christina Hill deliver!

I am thankful that Christina Hill and NetGalley gave me the opportunity to read this book before it is released! And what I will say, is that if you love a romantic comedy, this book is for you!

Paige, i love Paige. She’s super quirky, fun and i related to her more times than I thought I would. She’s tired of her previous relationships, and has had enough of not having a successful love life. But what she does have? Is her best friend Rhodes.

Rhodes, Rhodes, Rhodes😫 The best friend since they were little. The best friend who has been completely and irresistibly in love with his best friend.

After her last failed relationship, Paige’s co-worker orchestrated a plan, that consisted of Paige blind dating three guys. Not knowing, one of the three guys she was texting, was her best friend.

I love their dynamic, i love them. And honourable mention to Cleocatra.

What an icon. Who would have thought I’d love POVs from the cat? It’s funny, it’s cute. It’s overall a good lighthearted book!

It would have been five stars, but that’s just because of the ending, and seeing how upset Rhodes now is. But that’s okay, that’s what the next book in the series is for!

Public release is on 4th of March 2025🖤🖤
