Thrilling, exciting, and realistic, well researched adventures on the high seas is what you get with Betrayal. Beth is an amazing character, and her beau Sebastian is just made for her. This is a very fast-paced book and was pretty memorable in its writing style and storytelling.
A great read. #netgalley #Betrayal

He’s been crushing on her for a year, and also she needs a fake boyfriend… YES, YES, YES! Gimme, gimme, gimme! 😋😍
I loved the plot of Getting Lucky—it was interesting, and I think the author did a great job bringing it to life 🙌✨. The characters were enjoyable, though they could have been developed a bit more.
Now, the spice? Oh, it was hot and sizzling! 🔥🥵That dirty talk? HAWT! 🌶🤤
However, the dialogues and writing felt a little bland to me. The flow wasn’t as smooth as I’d hoped. But overall, it’s a solid novella—perfect for when you want a quick, steamy read without committing to a longer book.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5)

This was a fun, lighthearted novella, and a perfect palette cleanser between heavier reads. There was a surprising amount of emotion here, but mostly, it was just a spicy, silly, good time. I love any time there's an animal sidekick. Darby and Finn made me laugh so much. The instalove was real, but I didn't mind it so much since it was a novella. Will not change your life, but it'll probably make you giggle. (ARC provided by Victory Editing Netgalley Co-Op)

Solid 4.5 star read. The MCs have grrat chemistry and it is a very spicy book. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish and can't wait to read more books by this author.

2.5/5 stars
Thank you netgalley and the publishers for this arc!
I read this arc after not reading anything for quite a long time. This was a wonderful short book to get out of a reading slump. Darby was a wonderful fiesty fmc and Finn was a really sweet mmc with an adorable dog!! <3
But will I pick this up again? Probably not
There needs to more development in terms of plot and character depth but at the moment this was a great read

Getting Lucky is a fast-paced romance following Darby and Finn.
Darby and Finn connect almost instantly and spend lots of time together over a short period of time.
Since the book was very short it did not have as much depth as a longer book would, but it was still fun to read. Also, I liked the casual tone of the whole book.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a free e-copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I loved this little Novela so much. It had just the right amount of plot and smut to keep it fast paced and enjoyable. Finn was soooo easy to love too 😩 and add Humphrey in the mix and I think I’m in LOVE.
For novellas I totally don’t mind insta-love because how else are you going to cram all the good stuff in ?

What I love about a Hannah Murray book is that I know it will be steamy, funny and the perfect length (no pun intended!) to get me out of a book slump. Darby and Finn were HOTT! Plus, I could relate to Darby's predicament as a fellow single grandchild that my Mexican-American family loves to pick on about being without a boyfriend. The opening scene of Darby telling the tequila shot she needed an 'act of God' was hilarious, and I immediately knew this was going to be a new fave romance. I appreciate that Finn also is a 'buffet bae'® and had been crushing on Darby for some time before he finally got his chance to date her. Her friend group was solid, there's a super cute chonky dog, and lots of getting-to-know you sext time. This book has it all! Thank you to the publisher for making this book Read Now on NG. I'm excited for whatever Hannah writes next!
- fake dating
- high steam
- WDTK? Chapter 2

Getting Lucky by Hannah Murray is the first book I’ve read by this author, and it likely won’t be my last. It’s a quick, easy read—I finished it in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down. Since it’s only about 200 pages, the romance moves quickly and can feel a bit cheesy and rushed, so be prepared for that.
One thing I really appreciated, though, was the absence of a third-act breakup. Those can sometimes feel overdone in romance books, so it was refreshing to see a story that skipped the usual drama.
There’s plenty of spice in this book, so if that’s not your thing, you might want to pick up something else.
Thank you to NetGalley and Hannah Murray for the opportunity to read this advance copy!

Hannah Murray is one of the most underrated romance authors on the market right now. Her books are always funny, sexy, and have really satisfying HEAs.
Getting Lucky was shorter than I thought it would be, but that made it the perfect bite sized romance. I am always ready for a man who is down bad, and the way that Finn was obsessed with Darby had me giggling and kicking my feet. I loved Darby's friends, big fan of their dog, and I just loved Finn and Darby!! He's been pining after her for a year! and begging to get her number! and then they accidentally meet again! It's all the good things wrapped up. And the mouth on these two! They weren't just hot, they were incendiary - literally in Darby's case.
Loved it, obviously. Hannah Murray can do no wrong!

Getting Lucky is such a fun read. It's short but packed with great banter among the group of friends and the two main characters. The chemistry is really tangible and there are lots of funny moments. Because it's so short, you need to suspend disbelief at the quick pacing and coincidence, but it's well worth it and I would definitely read more books by this author.

Darby and her friends are having a girls night out and discussing who Darby could bring as her date to her Grandparent’s anniversary party. After too many drinks they get in the wrong car thinking it was their personal taxi. Enter Finn, he has been trying for the last year to get an introduction to Darby after seeing her at a friend’s wedding. While driving her home Darby’s grandparents invite him to the party assuming he is her boyfriend. Darby decides to go on a few dates with Finn to see if they could pull off fake dating for the party. This was a quick, sweet and spicy novella. Read if you love the fake to real dating trope. Great banter. Loved Darby’s friend group and Finn has the cutest dog ever named Humphrey.

Getting Lucky by Hannah Murray is a steamy, sweet, and irresistibly fun romance that hits all the right notes. With a charming small-town setting, sparkling chemistry, and plenty of playful banter, this story is an absolute delight from start to finish.
Murray delivers characters you can’t help but root for—flawed, funny, and full of heart. The romance sizzles with just the right amount of heat, balanced by genuine emotional connection and laugh-out-loud moments. The dialogue is snappy and smart, and the plot flows effortlessly, making it easy to get swept up in the story.
What makes Getting Lucky stand out is its warm, feel-good vibe. It’s a book that makes you smile, swoon, and believe in the magic of unexpected love. Whether you’re a longtime romance reader or just looking for an uplifting escape, this one is a charming pick you won’t regret.

The story had a cute premise but the way the main character was presented as having a crush, when it was very much stalking, was problematic. It could be a better book than it was.

A cute short book about a woman who's desperately trying to avoid her matchmaking family and the accidental ride share driver who is more than happy to be her fake not-fake boyfriend.
It's got humor, it's got heat. It's got silly relatives. But it's got two people getting to know each other in and out of the bedroom in a short period of time.
Hannah Murray is a go-to author for heat, and this one does the job.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I liked this one! The dialogues were snappy, the characters were lovable (even the horny octogenarians) and it was very steamy. The sex had a meaning and I really like how Hannah Murray writes novellas.
I have a few remarks. The pov kept switching in a confusing way and I would have liked to know a bit more about Finn. There was also something suspicious: the only Black person was also the only one smoking weed. I really hope it was an overview.
Thanks to the author and NetGalley for the ARC

I absolutely LOVED this book! The romance, the comedy and spicy were the perfect amount. The characters were so loveable and they had such good banter and such amazing chemistry, I laughed out loud through most of this book! I recommended this one to a friend before I was even finished with it! I loved that these characters were so relatable, they could easily be people in your friend group, and I so wish that they were! These two are #relationshipgoals!! Highly, HIGHLY recommend!!!

Cute, short, he falls first instalove with hilarious meet cute - that’s actually a second meeting of the MCs.
This brief novella opens with Darby at the bar with her friends, beyond tipsy, lamenting the fact that she’s without a date for her grandparents’ 60th wedding anniversary. When they stumble outside to pile in what they think is their ride share, it turns out they’ve gotten in the wrong car.
Finn can’t believe his good fortune: he’s literally just picked up the girl he’s been wanting to ask out since she left a very memorable - if highly flammable - impression at his friend’s wedding the year prior. So he goes along with playing chauffeur to her and her girlfriends. An awkward, drunken kiss later has Darby’s grandparents assuming they’re going to attend the party together.
After coming clean about his actual profession as an architect, he insists on dating Darby for real, and that they should have several dress rehearsal dates before the anniversary party to appear authentic. Darby is all about getting Finn horizontal, however, and not necessarily interested in the dating aspect.
Somehow these two manage to become quite a bit more than just each other’s plus one. Throw in a drooling, gassy English bulldog and a great time is had by all in this slim volume.
I received an advance reader copy from NetGalley, and I’m sharing my honest impressions.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC copy
As a short read this was easy to read and follow. A funny story with smatterings of smut. However had this been a long book I think I would have got fed up with the way the smut was written and would want more story on the characters.
It was good as a little reset in between long books.

I loved this book - it had me giggling from the start.
It’s one of those that gives you the warm fuzzy feels while still having the spice.
Will definitely be reading more from the author.
